Why does the clutch pedal stick in a 2003 cavalier?
If it is a brand new clutch, it's not broken in yet, which is why it "sticks". Give it some time, though, and it will stop "sticking". It took a half mile of stop and go traffic for mine to stop doing that with my new performance clutch.

How do you remove the Fan clutch from water pump on a 96 Ford Aerostar utility van?
the clutch unscrewes couter clock wise at the water pump big hex nut it looks like I used an eight inch pipe wrench and snuck it in behind where the cover and four bolts where on the clutch with the handle resting on the engine. I did remove one bolt off to make room for the cescent wrench. I took a ten inch crescent and held the nut. It just barely fit. Held on the small pipewrench, gave the crescent ( handle up at one o'clock) a firm shot to the left with the hammer. Finished removing with the crescent. Then replaced my water pump without removing rad or shroud. Thight fit, but it can be done by flipping the pump bottom up near the AC.

The most critical thing is to prevent air from getting into the system. After replacing the slave cylinder, the system must be bled to get the air out. This requires two people, working in cordination, to be effective. While one person sits in the car, the other stands where they car reach the bleed valve on the slave cylinder. The cap on the clutch master cylinder must be open, and extra brake fluid on hand. The person standing outside the vehicle opens the bleed valve on the slave cylinder, and then tells the person sitting inside the vehicle to depress the clutch pedal. The person sitting in the car slowly depresses the clutch pedal, telling the person outside when the pedal is all the way to the end of its travel, and then holding the pedal there. The person outside the vehicle closes the bleed valve, and tells the person inside to release the clutch pedal. After checking to make sure that there is still plenty of brake fluid in the master cylinder, the process is repeated. Usually, it will take at least three pumps to completely clear the system of air. Care must be taken that the master cylinder does not run short of fluid, or air will be introduced to the system. Once the system has been properly bled, the clutch pedal should be firm, but able to travel its full range. Visully inspect the slave cylinder operation to insure that the piston is pushing the throw-out bearing fork. The amount of travel may only be a few centimeters, but the fork must move. On some the slave cylinder doesn't release all the air. You need to connect a clear rubber tube (about 5' long) to the bleed port on the slave cylinder bleed port running it up toward the raised hood and repeat the bleed. Allow the fluid to flow up the tube until it is within 4" of the top. If the clutch works properly remove tube, if clutch still doesn't work blow on tube with bleed port open and force fluid back through slave cylinder. Close bleed port before all the fluid is out of the tube. I had to do this on a 96 B3000 4X4 and an 06 Ford Focus.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 1993 3000 gt?
on some of the 3000 gt's there is a booster for the clutch pedal under the dash. In some cases this unit is not working and is a dealer item only. If you don't have one of these the way to bleed the slave cylinder is to just bleed it like you would the brakes. The slave cylinder is located on top of the transmission by the firewall and rear mount. for additional adjustment some have an adjustment at the pedal itself. I'm a mistu dealer tech and have done these many times.
I have seen the opposite done, so I'm sure it is "possible." In broad terms, you would need at least the transmission and associated computer, new shifter hardware and a new pedal assembly. You can probably review the online catalog at delorean.com to total the cost of parts new. Someone told me they thought it would cost them about $5K in parts alone to convert their automatic to a five-speed. I know someone with an automatic tranny and engine sitting in his garage. I think he only wants $3K for the whole thing, including the turbo, but everything needs work. As with all things cars, it probably comes down to how good you and your tools are... labor will really drive the cost up. Assuming you already own a DeLorean, even though I know it's easy to get attached to your particular car, you might consider cleaning up your five-speed, selling it, and buying a clean automatic. Given that the five-speeds are a little peppier, they probably command a higher price. Cost? Zero. You might even pocket some money.
