yes its looks are cute, but I seriousley woulnd buy one ever again. First of all they have this problem with blowing head gaskets, The parts are difficult to buy unless you know or have a dealer near you. Other then that you will have to wait quiet along time. Your insurance is higher, because this company no longer ecsitst. All in all they are nice care. With crappy motors. The timing belt is attached to the water pump this means if your pump goes so does your head. And all this happens within a matter of seconds. ( MY WARNING TO YOU? DONT BUY ONE!!) Thank you.

Place a pan below the vehicle to catch the draining coolant.

Remove the surge tank cap.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

Drain the coolant.

Reconnect the lower radiator hose.

Fill the cooling system through the surge tank with a

mixture of ethylene glycol antifreeze and water. The

mixture must be at least 50 percent antifreeze, but

not more than 60 percent antifreeze for cold weather

if it is dule overhead cams the only thing to adjust is cam end play witch should be 0.003-0.009 and the cam shaft bolts should be tighten to 12 ft.lbs (67 nm)

The Daewoo Malfunction Indicator Lamp comes on for a bulb check when you turn the ignition switch to the 'on' position. The light should then go out when you start the car. If the light stays on, it means a problem was detected. One possible problem is that either the connectors or the harness shorted out, or that the circuit is open. It is also possible that the bulb needs to be replaced. In many cases, the cause is either an exceptionally high or low amount of voltage being sent to the ECM through the MIL at a time when the bulb should not be lit up.

Had the same problem myself, finally solved by removing a small screw from each side of the radio. The problem is these are located behind the trim but still very close to the front of the radio, I had to lie on my back with my head in each footwell in turn and reaching up the side of the radio into the dash removed them with a crancked screwdriver and lots of swearing! .

Why struggle when all you have to do is take out 5 crossheaded screws out 4 in speedo trim 2 top 2 bottom and 1 in deep recess in cubby hole past heater switches

then pull carefully by hand the plastic facia as far as you can

reaching in pull off security wire fixing and heater wire connection block

this will give you room to get to the fixing screws on both sides of radio

then you can pull out and guide it out to disconnect radio

i did this recently to my 02 plate matiz and it worked for me

replace wires in holders gently with palm of hand locate facia into position and replace screws no swearing just a little gentle brute force needed

The horn is located behind the front grill, on the center post. To remove the grill and reach the horn; small hands can reach the horn from underneath, or, to remove the grill, there are two screws on top of the grill, and two clips on sides, accessible from the top slits with a long screwdriver.

Timing belt on the Nexia should be change every 60 thousand miles, but due to the plastic enclosure, oil leaks and extreme weather variations timing belt could suffer major wear and tear way before the recommended replacement mileage point is reached. I would check for oil leaks that stream down the timing belt area and to take care of them at once and then proceed to decide if replacing the belt would be a safe practice. Timing belt replacement might as well implicate replacement of idler and tensioner pulley, plus water pump, and I would consider it overall a major repair that requires time and patience. The amount of money most shops would charge you makes convenient for the do-it-yourselfer to attempt the repair.

Check it for just past below the engine oil lid. You might not open this using bare hands, try with a wrench. You may not find it for the first time. Check for the tall mounted hexagonal nut which has a slight bend towards dashboard.

It is impossible to change the thermosate. The thermostate is built inside its housing. Therefore one would need to change the entire coolant thermostate housing. The major problem with this obsoutle vehicle is that this part can not be found. The last resort is to check out your local junkyard and you should tons of Lanos. Yank one from there. I have remove two housing so far and as soon as they are installed they crack. If any one come across where they can be puschased brandnew....please drop me a line. at nomi4hire@yahoo.com

There are 3 10mm screw's when looking at the headlight square on: one on top at 12oclock, 4oclock and 8oclock the screw's at 4oclock and 8oclk are under the plastic cover under the light which is held on with a Philips screw.
