What is the unlock code for a Daewoo nexia radio?
Hi there. The radio code for the the Nexia is obtained from the serial number of the unit. You need to remove the radio, look for the serial number label on the side, then take the8th digit, followed by the 6th digit, followed by the 4th digit, followed by the 2nd digit. For example, my serial number is 60721203, which makes my unlocking code 3220 which worked a treat. Happy listening!

How to set valve timing on 1995 Daewoo Nexia DOHC?
I learned a few things: You can of course (with the head off or by looking at the bottom of the pistons up through the sump) work out the timing (approximately but accurately enough) to see where the marks should be. And where they should be there will be a very obvious timing mark/spike on the engine block or head cover or something or at least a very obvious alignment of marks with each other. You know, when the #1 piston is coming to the top and the inlet is just opening and the exhaust is just about closed then that is the end of the exhaust stroke and then the intake stroke is about to start - well get the crank and the cams about there, then rotate keeping them in sync and you will see what I mean. Put the pully and cams in the right places (approx) before putting the head back on - less likely to bump piston and valve that way. Turn the engine over a number of times (the cam goes clockwise/forwards) by hand - you should only have very slight resistance from the pistons compressing air (so only twice for a rotation of the crankshaft pully). If you get hard resistance that seems to be from the cams when turning the crankshaft you have got the timing wrong - the pistons are bending the valves. Do not do bolts that go into the aluminum head too tight. To get the pully and cover on/off - just crowbar the engine over a bit. Oh yeah - those half moon shaped dents in the top of the pistons - that is to handle the valve overlap.
Hope that all helps
The crankshaft pulley mark on the timing cover is for the drive belt pulley, the mark at 6 o'clock is for the crankshaft cog (behind the pulley),there is a small dot on the crankshaft cog which lines up on the small mark on the small bottom timing cover. When changing the head gasket to prevent damage to the valves turn the crank back to the 3 o'clock position and when the camshafts are lined up (inlet 3 o'clock exhaust 9 o'clock) turn the crankshaft clockwise to 6 o'clock.

How do you change the motor oil in a Daewoo Cielo?
Raise the front or get a shallow wide tray and release the 19mm plug at the back of the sump (oil pan) that will drain the oil. It will come out fast and be prepared for about 4 litres. Put the plug back in. Then remove the steel oil filter on the front of the engine and discard. Fit a new oil filter and pour new oil into the top of the engine. About 4.5 litres should be enough but check the dipstick to be sure. That's it.
How do you use power button on the gear shifter of a 2001 daewoo laganza?

How do you reset radio in a Daewoo Nubira?
The radio code feature of Daewoo models (sold in the US from 1998 - 2001 as Leganza, Nubira, and Lanos) is meant to be an anti-theft security feature, but unfortunately it can also present a problem to legimate owners when their car batteries have died or been replaced. When the radio is removed from the power source (or the power source is interrupted), the radio will reset itself (prevent any use) and flash "CODE" until the proper code is entered.
Each radio has a specific four-digit code, which was originally provided on a plastic card within the owner's manual kit. New owners were encouraged to remove the card and keep in a safe place outside the car (eg home). Since these cards may be lost over time (or perhaps not passed along when the car was sold used), that leaves today's owner in a tough spot.
To obtain your code... You can try calling Daewoo Motor America (the company still operates a HQ in CA for service/parts/warranty purposes); their website is still www.daewoous.com. You can also try calling your original Daewoo dealer, who hopefully still has some technical materials and personnel to help you identify your unique code. Some General Motors dealers may be able to help, as GM acquired Daewoo and still sells Daweoo-made cars in the US under their Pontiac and Chevy brands. But all methods above may be difficult for an individual detailed problem such as obtaining your unique radio code.
If all else fails, TRY THE CODES BELOW, which were the most common codes used in models during the 1998-2001 model years.

I am posting these because - although the code feature was a valuable anti-theft feature - there have been no models sold in the US since late 2001, and the radios are now undoubtly worthless to theives. At this point, the radio code feature can only be a major nusance to an owner of a still-running used Daewoo. Good luck and enjoy your car!

How do you remove the valves in a 2000 model Daewoo Nubira?
this all depends on how the valves sit inside the head cylinder, you have two different types of valves which is, 1} insinked valves 2} standard valves. to determine the differences between the two, the insinked valves are valves that have been sinked inside and into the engine head cylinder, the steps down below follow for non insinked valves inside the head cylinder. for normal valves you can buy a tool from a spare part shop to take the standard valves out but if you have insinked you need a machine to take them out but if you go like i did to a head specialist they could do it for you and put them back in because the have a hydralic/air compressor that does the job. ok!
1.step= take the rocker cover off. 2.step= take the cam shaft off. (TAKE NOTE PLEASE : the timing belt will have to come of aswell) 3.step= (if over head cam) remove caps from the top of valves. 4.step= remove the head from engine. 5.step= remove the valves with the valve remover tool purchase from any spare part shop. as mentioned before if they are INSINKED you will have to compress them out.
that should answear your question to the finest detail that i can put it for you.
Where are the timing marks for the camshafts on a daewoo espero?
on the cam sprocket there is a line on the outer edge. align that up with the notch on the back plate line that up then look at the crank pulley there you will see another notch high light these points with some nail varnish making visable marking on the cam/crank and the back plate (but if you have a vauxhall cavalier manual they are the same engines 1.8-18SE or for 2.0-20NE/20SEH).as i have the same car and just fitted a new cambelt i know this.

It is an outstanding rifle - ahead of its time.
The South Koreans saw the Soviet/Chinese Kalashnikov rifle systems and the U.S. M-16 systems, and took the best of both.
The K-2 borrowed the trigger, hammer, selector, bolt, & barrel designs of the M-16. However the M-16 dumps carbon and exhaust gasses into the bolt, lower receiver groups, and virtually over the ammunition that it is getting ready to ingest. There is a belief that this causes excess heat & fatigue of the internal parts. Whether this is of great consequence is debated, but it definitely makes the M-16/M-4 system a pain to clean with burnt/baked carbon on the bolt and carrier parts.
I also, personally, had an M-16 freeze up on me in Alaska in January. The products of combustion are carbon and water vapor. Dumping carbon & water vapor on a bolt that is -30 degrees doesn't make for a good mix. - But the M-16 was designed for Viet Nam, not Alaska (or Korea).
The K-2 uses an op rod keyed to a slot in the bolt carrier. This keeps the exhaust gasses out of the receiver. It tends to give it reliability more like the AK-47 family. It definitely makes it much easier to clean after use. If I don't cheat when cleaning an AR-15 (brake cleaner), it will take an initial cleaning of over an hour, and a secondary cleaning of about 20 minutes to scrape the carbon off the bolt and out of the bolt carrier and to get the receiver & bolt group really clean. The K-2 can be, virtually, wiped down with an oily cloth and done.
Some American companies are now offering M-4 type rifles (for $1,500.00) with a gas short-stroke op-rod system, that is supposed to cure many of the M-16 ills. But it has recently come to light that this can cause a malady called "bolt carrier tilt" in which uneven forces impinged on the top-front of the bolt carrier by the op rod cause it to tilt, and can gall the upper receiver and/or buffer tube (both made of aluminum). The K-2 does not suffer from this syndrome.
Probably the biggest drawback of presently owning the K-2 is replacement parts - especially barrel parts. They are not interchangeable with AR-15 type parts. If you get a bad barrel, you're pretty-much stuck. I personally have a pre-ban that will shoot 'most anything and hold 1" groups at 100 yards. I then got a post-ban Max-200, and it was shooting 6" groups, until I tried lightweight bullets. Now, anything at 50 grains or less will stay in 3/4" at 100 yards.

How do you remove the starter motor on a Daewoo matiz?
Instructions as follow: 1. remove right headlight. 2. remove battery and battery tray. 3. remove tube between air filter and throttle body. 4. reach behind the gear linkages and feel the bolts holding the starter motor. 5. there are what seems like 3 bolts on a L shape, the center one holds the plate for the gear linkages, do not undo, it's a pain in the neck to put back. 6. undo the two bolts holding the starter motor. 7. from under the car undo the one nut holding the power feed from the battery and the nut holding the cable from the key. 8. lift the back of the starter motor up clearing the oil pressure sender and so the front of the starter motor points down. 9. support the front of the starter motor and ease it down and out.
