What do the codes 12 32 and 41 21 13 14 13 5 mean for a Dodge 318 Dakota 5.2 liter engine?

According to Haynes Repair Manual for 1987 to 1996 Dodge Dakota pickups,

  • 12 means memory standby power lost. (The battery was disconnected recently).
  • 13 means MAP sensor vacuum circuit. (This will activate the check engine light).
  • 14 means MAP sensor electrical circuit. (This also will activate the check engine light).
  • 21 means Oxygen sensor circuit. (This activates the check engine light on California models).
  • 32 means EGR system. (This activates the check engine light on California models).
  • 41 means charging system excess or lack of field current.

All codes are two digits, so the code 5 must be incomplete. 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, and 65 are all possibilities, however, if it was the last code output, it is most likely code 55 which simply means that the list of fault codes is finished. All code output lists are started by code 88 and ended by code 55.

Where is the best place to go through the fire wall for an amp power wire in a 2003 tiburon?

I would look for existing wire or cable already in place to run alongside and keep it on the battery/fuse box side. If not then find a spot clear on both sides to drill a hole

How would you repair a gas gauge on a 98 Chevy Malibu that went 360 degrees around and is stuck on the needle?

I had this happen and a mechanic said something about the polarity being reversed and I do not know what he did but it took him just a few minutes and he charged me 10 bucks. Do not let anyone tell you you have to rip apart the dash or mess with the needle or replace, sensors, drop the gas tank to fix the level sender, etc. This is a glitch in Chevy Malibus during the late 90s that when you replace your battery the gauge needle will do a 360.

I had this happen on my 98 Malibu, and I just took a pair of needle nose pliers to make a small hook on the end of a straightened out paperclip which I then used to put through a hole the display (there's a small hole through which the button for your tripometer comes through) and pull the needle out enough that it popped back up where it was supposed to go. Yes, this is kind of a silly way to do it, but it sure beats paying somebody to rip up the whole dash to get at the gas guage. Good luck.

What is the problem of 2.3L motor when the brakes pedal goes to the floor while motor is running but the brakes pedal can be pumped up when the motor is not running?

Check master cylinder for fluid level

Check around all wheels for a fluid leak or bad wheel cylinder

The reason you can pump brake up without engine running is that you are emptying the vacuum reservoir and no longer have power (vacuum) assist

How do you change the oil pump in a 1999 Dodge Dakota V6?

I need to replace one on my 99 Dakota to. Its 4wd and I am not going to even attemt it its going to the garage.

My suggestion would be to take the motor out, remove the oil pan, then change it. Before you change it though fill a cup up with poil and get some oil in the pumpm so you don't have a dry start. Then put the pan on, don't forget the gasket, and put the motor back in the truck
