How do you replace the fuel filter on a 1998 dodge Dakota?
The fuel filter is integrated with the fuel pump module, located inside the fuel tank. It is not serviceable. The filter itself is also typically not subject to a high rate of failure, so before attempting to replace the module, it would be wise to be certain of the necessity of doing so.
To replace the filter requires replacement of the entire fuel pump module, neither easy, nor cheap. To replace the module, either the fuel tank must be removed from the vehicle, or the truck box must be removed. Either method entails about the same amount of time (a few hours for an experienced DIY'er with the correct tools), but removing the box will likely require replacement of its fastening bolts, since many will probably be broken or rendered otherwise unusable during removal. If removing the tank, try to have as little fuel in the tank as possible, and ensure that the entire vehicle is raised at least 6 inches (have all 4 wheels on ramps, for instance), since the tank will not slide out from underneath without extra clearance.
How do you test crank sensor on 92 Dakota 5.2?
The most simply way to check a crank sensor in any car is to get in car, turn key to start and watch tachometer (rpm gauge) if it shows rpms the sensor is good. If there is no tachometer then you will be in for checking wires. there should b a wire with 5 volts going into the sensor and with a test light if your lucky probe another and it should light up as the motor turns.
Mine turned out to be the clutch.
Where is the PVC valve and how do you change it on a 1994 Chevy K 1500?
I have a 1994 K 1500 Blazer, (350), and just had the oil changed. They told me that it needed to be replaced because it was corroded. This was at a 10 min. oil change place so I told them to not replace it since it must have took them 2 min. to take it out. (So I figured that I sould be able to find it and replace it) but if you wanted it done it shouldn't cost that much since they quoted me $11.95 to replace it. I'll be checking up on it and find out how to do it myself.
How big is a 2000 Dodge Dakota speaker?
There are 2 types of speaker systems in the 2000 Dodge Dakota, however, they are the same sizes. You could either get the standard speaker system or the Infinity Gold premium speaker system. Here are the speaker sizes:
Standard Audio System:
-Front Doors: 6X 3/4"
-Rear Panel/Rear Quad Cab Doors (Only on Club/Quad Cab Models): 6X 3/4"
Infinity Gold Premium Audio System:
-Front Doors: 6X 3/4"
-Front Door Tweeters: Tweeter
-Rear Panel/Rear Quad Cab Doors (Only on Club/Quad Cab Models): 6X 3/4"
-Amplifier: Mounted Behind Front Seats or Under Rear Bench Seat
If you have an amplifier either behind the front seats or under the rear bench seat, and you have a joystick-type fader on your factory head unit, you have the Infinity Gold premium speaker system. If you have 4 speakers, no amplifier, and a standard fader on your factory head unit, or if you have the A/M-F/M only (no cassette, no CD) or A/M-F/M-Cassette head unit, you do not have the Infinity Gold premium speaker system. However, you can have the A/M-F/M-Cassette head unit with a joystick-type fader and still have the Infinity Gold premium speaker system.
Hope this helps! Thanks!

It's on the left side of the motor. Trace the lines back from the fuel injectors. It's right on top and easy to change.
How to stop engine from turning over?
Assuming that you're trying to stop the engine from rotating while removing the crankshaft pullet bolt, right?
The easiest method is to use an impact wrench. At times, certain vehicles simply don't have the room to accommodate an impact wrench without removing the radiator or, even worse, vital air conditioning parts. Other methods are possible like wedging a screwdriver into the flywheel via the inspection plate cover which usually requires the help of a friend.
I've used a method that is cheap, that works, is safe for the engine, and can be done by yourself. Purchase 2 or 3 feet of nylon rope that is smaller in diameter than your spark plugs. Remove number one spark plug. Rotate crank pulley until it is about 90 degrees ABOVE top dead center. Insert rope into number one cylinder via the spark plug hole. Be sure to put enough rope in to fill a portion of the cylinder. Turn crank pulley counterclockwise with socket wrench. If there is enough rope inside, then the engine will cease to rotate allowing you to give enough force to break that crank pulley bolt loose.
To tighten the bolt according to torque specs after job is finished, rotate crank to about 90 degrees BELOW top dead center, insert rope, turn crank clockwise until rope stops engine, then apply proper torque to bolt.
This method is very useful when an impact wrench is not available or will not fit in the area.

What is error p420 for a 2001 dodge Dakota?
"loose gas cap" Mine gives the error when the tank is under one eighth full when first starting. Assuming this is due to low pressure in the gas tank when first starting up.
What causes oil in the radiator of a Dodge Stratus?
it may indicate a blown head gasket If it's a four cylinder they are famous for blowing head gaskets. The new version of the head gasket fixes the problem.
How many miles can you get on a full tank of gas in a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire?
That depends on a variety of factors. Condition of the vehicle and how well it runs, tire pressure, driving technique, terrain, weather, speed you are driving, etc. Fill it up and check it. it depends on how much the tank hold and how you drive the car are you on highway or city using cruse how fast you arre driving it . but it should get at least 250 to 300 miles on a tank. I can't quite remember how many gallons my '96 holds, but it's something like 15.2 or so. I'm presently getting a bit over 32 MPG. If you do the math, that comes out to about 486 miles

Where is the Location of fuel filter on a 1996 Dodge Dakota Sport w 3.0 engine V6?
under the middle rear, either side in line filter.
1996 gm 3.8 crank sensor location?
Crankshaft sensor for the 96 olds 3.8 v/6 is behind the harmonic balancer mounted on a bracket. It is adjustable and must be set properly to avoid damage to the replacement. There is a clearance issue between the sensor and the blades attached to the back side of the harmonic balancer.
