Fuel gauge on 99 intrigue is always full sending unit in gas tank has no power grounds are good any ideas?

The answer is in your question. If the "power grounds are good," then the obvious answer is that there is an "open" conditon in the circuit that is supposed to provide power to the sending unit. There could be several possible causes, but three which come to mind are: 1. A "blown" fuse which is indicative of another problem which would be a short or overload in the circuit, or 2. A cut, broken or "pulled" apart conductor [wire], or 3. A harness connector which has become disconnected, or rendered inoperable by corrosion inside on the contacts. j3h.

How do you check fuel pump on 1998 dodge ram?

Although there is no definitive way to check it without removing it from the tank, there are a few good indicators that will let you know if it is bad. First, when you turn the ignition to "on" there should be a soft whirring sound coming from the gas tank area (the fuel pump kicking on) which can be easily heard by a friend with his ear near the drivers side back tire. If you can't hear this, then you know that either the pump, electrical connections, or rollover valve is bad. The pump is always on when the vehicle in in run mode and the fuel pressure and volume is regulated further down the line. If you don't hear this noise, you can get your hand up above the tank on these trucks to pull the electrical connection and test the wiring, but it is tough. After you have verified that you have voltage coming to the pump, the only thing left to do is to drop the gas tank and pull the pump.

Fan clutch won't come off on my dodge 5.2 it seem to be froze on?

Try soaking in WD-40 If that does not work try heat. But First and foremost are you going the right way. Buy the new Fan clutch and look at the threads to see how they are going. Or if you sit in front of the hood you should be going towards the passenger side as you take it of. There's two or more different fan clutches for this model. These are instructions for the fan clutch that has a pressed on pulley. use an adjustable spanner wrench with 5/16 dowells to keep the pulley from turning as you break it loose.

Is Gumout octane booster worthwhile?

i have a 2001 GTp.. I alsw have a Ls1m scanner http://ls1m.com/ .. It scanns my car for everthing .. Most cases i scan for Kr.. with my car i sually get a 2.95 kr full boost 8 psi. but yest my car was on E so i decided to buy one octane booster at wlmart. and ad it to some 16 gallons of gas drove easy for 10 miles. then started to scan.. Now i see a .95 at full boost..

Yes it works...

AnswerI have used Gumout Octane Booster for about 6 months now. I drive an '89 Ford Ranger. Before the booster, it would knock and ping at the bottom of lower gears. It would stall whenever it felt like it. About 10 miles into the first tank of booster, I noticed a dramatic improvement. Hesitation is lower, no more stalling and idle is smooth. No more knocks and pings. It costs me under $2 per bottle. I use 1 for every tank of gas and I went from 17 to 24 MPG. That is not an exaggeration. I tally the MPG at EVERY fill-up. AnswerYes, they work to an extent. But, let it be known, if you are looking for a "magic bullet" to fix knocks and pings, I would look elsewhere. You could have a more serious problem somewhere within your engine causing the knock. If an Octane Booster "solves" your problem (knock/pinging) - then definitely take your car to a decent mechanic for further diagnosis.

Also, consider, a growing number of vehicles on the road today actually "require" or "recommend" higher octane fuels. Check your vehicle's owner manual. It may be possible you've been using "Regular" unleaded, but you should actually be used "Mid Grade" or Supreme gasoline. So yea, if this is the case (your car requires Mid Grade gasoline, but you've been using only regular) - that could be the source of the knock and ping you experience.

Gumout Octane Booster contains mostly JP5, which is used in the US Navy as fuel for aircraft, and really cleans fuel systems well. The improvement you felt was most likely a cleaner fuel system as well as cleaner injectors.

You have an 1985 full sized Dodge Ram van The femail end of the vacumn hose tree in the dash fell apart Any idea what to call it to get a new one?

I have a 1984 and a 1995 full sized Dodge van. My first try was to get one from the junk yard. They didn't have one so, I found a piece of vacuum hose that was slightly larger (or smaller will do) than the ones coming to the connector. Cut 1" pieces from the vacuum hose and splice them together. There will be problems with your system if you don't get all the vacuum lines back to their original connections. I simply went by the color codes on my 1995 van to get them correct. Securely tape the lines together when all is well. (Not pretty but works greatl) Good luck Forrest

Gas in air fliter?

Are you sure it's gas? Many air filters come with a thin film of oil.

What is the size of a 1987 dodge camper van bed?

The beds usually follow the same formats as bedroom models.

Typically most beds are about 70-75in long. There are some extended lengths which add about 5" to a 80" length.

The width generally determines what size bed.

Width:

About 36-39"" is Single/Twin

About 54" is a Full size

About 60" is a Queen size

You can usually use the same sheets as the bedroom models. This may not be true if the bed uses a foam pad. You might need to use those corner holders to hold sheets to mattress.

How do you change the thermostat on a 1999 Dodge Van 5.9 liter?

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block. Then remove the housing to access the thermostat. You may have to remove the fan housing to gain enough access to the therm housing. Make certain to get the right temp thermostat(185) and install exactly as removed. Use a good gasket sealer. It's a PITA. (PAIN IN THE ASS!) You have to remove the upper alternator bolt to slide the alt to the left. Depending on the location and style of clamp used ,you may have to remove the air compressor. ONLY REMOVE THE FOUR BLOTS OF THE COMPRESSOR AND NOT THE LINES. Remove the 2 bolts for the thermostat. It is a good idea to relace the little bypass hose while you are replacing the thermostat. You will need to reomve the compressor/alt bracket to do this . If you have gotten this far it is well worth it. A good DYI'er can do this job in approx 1-1 1/2hrs. Better than a few hundred at dealer.

Where is the O2 sensor on 1987 b250?

The O2 sensor on my 1993 B250 is located in exhaust pipe. Look under the van on the driver's side, under the driver's door. You should see an exhaust pipe that has what looks like a spark plug with wiring coming from the top. That is the O2 sensor. It is easy to change. I did mine two days ago and it took about 30 minutes to do. I spent most of my time trying to get the wiring harness connector worked loose, otherwise it is about a 10 minute job - if even that. baxman_dan@hotmail.com

Where would the ignition control module be on a 1989 Dodge Ram 350 van?

I believe it is contained in the computer itself. You may not be able to replace it individually.

Try looking under the battery box, For some dumb reason Dodge likes to hide things so you can't find them.

What causes transmission fluid in the coolant holding tank of 2000 Chrysler Sebring if the radiator has already been changed?

When you changed the Radiator did you flush the engine to remove the transmission fluid that the already mixed with your water in the engine block. If not that would explain the presence of the fluid in the coolant holding tank.

How to remove engine cover on G20 van?

Starting at the base, remove two bolts through the floor; unhook the clamps under the dash. Removing the passenger side seat will be very helpful. Check carefully for radio connections especially in conversion/aftermarket applications. Then slowly tilt the "doghouse" up while pulling backwards. If not moving look for more hidden bolt/screws.

How do you replace the pitman and idler arm on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD with a 5.2L engine?

Parts ReplacementI'm not familiar with Dodge steering linkage, but in general, pitman arms are on a spline to the steering box and you most likely will need a puller to remove it. Be careful and don't pry directly against the steering gear since that will damage the mechanism and/or seal. You'll need a puller that pulls from the center of the shaft. For the pitman arm ball joint and the idler arm you'll need a ball joint "fork" and a large hammer. Larger hammers will actually create less potential for damage to other parts than will smaller hammers. Other than that, it's just a matter of pulling the appropriate nuts from the appropriate shafts, then make sure you take the vehicle in for an alignment when you're done.

Where is transmission dipstick on 1996 B250 Dodge van?

It is on the left side (facing the car) down and below the oil dipstick. I found mine hiding under a 5 inch air vent hose.
