Where is the fuel filter located on a 1986 Nissan pickup non-diesel engine?
The fuel pump is located inside the engine compartment, on the passenger's side, above the wheel well. It is about 4" in diameter ( a larger styled filter...).
I looked in the location and all I can see it the A/C freon reservoir and other stuff. I do not see and cannot find the location of the fuel filter! What do I do when I put gasoline in my tank instead of diesel?
You need to drain it out and change the fuel filter. Do not run it that way.
AnswerIf gasoline was put into a diesel car or truck under no circumstances should the engine be started. The tank must be drained, fuel lines blown out and possibly fuel filter replaced. Attempting to start the engine with gasoline will damage the injection system very quickly. Will a 1999 Dodge Ram sport bumper fit a 1998 Dodge Ram spot?

I have a 2002 ram 1500. On mine there is one screw behind the hook that holds trash bags. Take that screw out and just the middle section will pop out by pulling from the top on either side. Don't forget to take your knobs for you air and lighter off.
How do you replace the universal joint on a 1966 Ford Mustang?
I noticed that WAY back, the original question mentioned that the owner was leaking oil through his U joints. The answer then switched exclusively to replacing the joints. My concern is this may not have fixed the owners problem and even if the joints were replaced he may still continue leaking oil due to a NOW worn rear seal and bushing in the tail stock of the transmission, which could have been the only problem or could have become a subsequent problem due to worn joints. The bushing and seal replacement are a little more complicated than the joints, so my recommendation is to have the local mechanic or Ford dealer check it out. You can usually tell the need for the a new rear seal by oil dripping off the end of the transmission. The symptoms for a bad bushing could be diagnosed by lifting up and down on the drive shaft to see if there is any excessive play or motion. Sometimes you can hear this as you are changing gears from neutral to drive or drive to reverse (in an automatic).
AnswerTake the old one out and install a new one. You may have to remove them both in order to get the driveshaft out.Jack up the back end, block the front wheel, set axle stands and make sure the car is secure. Put the tranny in neutral and park brake OFF. With chalk or paint marker, mark the front and back of the driveshaft and yokes so that you get it back in the proper position (index). Unbolt the dive shaft at the diff (1/2" or 9/16" wrench). Gently pry the driveshaft away from the rear yoke and lower it. Pull back and the front yoke and connector will pull out of the tranny tailshaft. At this point, you might as well change both u-joints, they're cheap enough. If you have a small press or if you're handy enough to rig up a press jig in a vice, go to it. If not, spend the 20 bucks to have a local shop press the old joints out and the new ones back in. To re-install, line up the index marks and re-tighten the rear u-clips to about 35 ft lbs. torque. If you don't get the driveshaft back in the same position that it was before , you might get a vibration in the drive train.

How do you change rotors on 2005 dodge ram 3500?
front or rear rotors?
front will come off easily when you remove wheel and caliper.
rear will come off after removal of wheel and caliper with the aid of a hammer or a puller
there are also a couple of clips on the wheel studs against the rotar.these can be removed witha screwdriver.usually you need to replace these clips as you trash em taking them off
With all do respect, the above is not true for the rear rotors of the dually. Removal of the wheel, caliper, caliper bracket, as well as the axle are required. Its really not as bad as it sounds. Just eight extra bolts for the axle, and eight more for the dually "adapter". Just make sure you top off the rear diff fluid when you finish up (in case some spilled when you slid the axle out)
How does a neutral safety switch work?
A neutral safety switch works by comparing the current in both the active and neutral conductors. When the current in both the active and neutral conductors is not equal the safety switch will trip. This works on the principle that the active and neutral are part of a closed loop and if there is an inbalance then current must be leaking out of the circuit. This leaking could be caused by faulty wiring, moisture (particularly in unused heating elements) or by contact from human or animal (ouchy)
