Dodge Stratus

Ok...to change the headlights in a dodge stratus you need to first open the hood and grab a wrench or something to loosen the bolts on the top of each light (I believe each headlight had two long bolts). Once you have removed the headlights' bolts the lights should just slide forward and out of the retaining area. The place to remove the actual bulb is on the backside of the light. This piece is circular and should be removed by gently twisting either cockwise or counter clockwise...I cant remember. Once this piece is out the old bulb should be easy to remove by wiggling it out. DONT touch your new bulb. hold it by the bottom fuse. Good Luck!

You put brake fluid for the clutch master cylinder

Check your thermostat. It may not be opening up at temperature. Another thing could be a bad water pump. See if you can determine where water is coming from.

It will "work" but is never a good idea. Stop leak not only stops external leaks, but also plugs small internal passages in engines and radiators, which can lead to overheating.

OK, I am answering this one myself. "Locking" in low gear is a Dodge safety feature that tells you something is wrong with the transmission. The free diagnostic test by Auto Zone was correct in it being the shift solenoid (in or part of the transmission) code 700. I had it replaced at a Dodge Dealer for a total of $538.40. Of course I had to pay for their diagnostic test which came up with the same code as auto Zone which told me AZ is a reiable source for help. She runs like a charm now!

If it's the "check engine" light you can do two things. One, take it to Auto Zone and they will clear the codes from the computer or disconnect the negative battery terminal for at least 10 seconds. Note, if you still have a problem, the light will come back on sooner or later.

Usually a sign of a car needing an axle if your trunk + rear of the car is really low like near the hubcap of the tire. Then you will need external use of an axle before your car starts screeching againsist the ground. Which can cause car explosions, or unless you decide to do a driver bailout.

They are free floating rotors , Remove the caliper and the rotors should pull off. If not they may be gaulded on and you will need to use a hammer to help them off

The 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine takes ( 4.5 U.S. quarts of 5W-20 )

The 3.0 liter " Duratec " V6 engine takes ( 5.5 U.S. quarts of 5W-20 )

The 2.0L is interference, the 2.4L and 3.0L are not.

the front bearing are pressed in. so you can do one of two things take the whole car to a repair shop, or you can remove the whole assembly buy bearings and have a shop press then for you. most auto part stores sell them for about $40.00 and shops charge around $25.00 a side to press. as i said if you pull it apart.

Rock Auto (no I do not represent them) sold me a Saturn Front bearing assembly kit which includes a wheel spindle with a pressed on bearing for Approx $56. My unit was not assembled and they graciously credited me with the cost of pressing the bearing on the spindle. The spindle looks like a top hat with at tiny top. The bearing gets pressed on over the top so it is sitting on the rim of the top hat. The wheel studs are aiming down in this analogy. The kit includes a new drive axel nut which should always be replaced on any and all model of cars. The kit includes an internal expanding circlip approx 4" dia. The hardest part of this job on a 1995 SW-2 is removing the disc brake rotor from the wheel hub...especially if car used in a salty environment like central New York State. Good luck!

In the exhaust pipe, near the manifold. The 4 cylinder has 2, the V6 has 4.

Not without swapping the transmission, computer, wiring, plumbing, etc.

If you look under the hood on the passenger side near the belt, there is a diagram near the belt location.

Hi, the fuse box it's located next to the fender of the driver side, on top of the battery, I believe the cover says "Fuse and Relay Center", hope this help.

Trouble code P0441 means:Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow

It is located on top of the steering column under the cover. You have to take the dashboard cover off starting at the sides and down the front and take off the steering column cover. it plugs in from the back.

This is normal. fan runs until temperature senser says it is cool enough.

The ABS light is on because there is a problem with the ABS. The light won't go out until the problem is fixed. As long as the ABS light is on the ABS will not function.

The thermostat is under the housing where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine on a 2.4 liter Dodge Stratus.

on the 4 cylinder its on the side of the oil pan facing the rear of the car. not sure about the v6

Check Under the hood. there also is a secondary inside of the car check the side of the dash when you open your drivers side door. that is where it is located on my 99.
