You could remove the oil filter and depending on size would probably have 1/2 qt in it. Drain the oil filter and replace it and then run the engine, shut it off and recheck your level. If you are still over you could do it again. Otherwise you will have to take out the drain plug and when you think you got a quart out try to get the plug back in but this is a lot messier and you have to be quick and lucky to hit it beofer all the oil comes out. Try the oil filter trick.

This isn't easy to answer. It could be leaking from many places. Common places to check are the hoses from the radiator, the radiator itself, the hoses leading to the heater core toward the fire wall, the water pump could also be faling. Try putting the vehicle on a clean piece of cardboard over night. The next morning see where it is dripping and trace it back to the source. That is about all the advice I can offer w/o knowing eactly where it is comming from. Hope this helps.

If it is leaking into the car, it is from your air conditioner drain tube. There is a service bulletin on it. Check with your dodge dealer or try the following....

OVERVIEW:

This bulletin involves drying the carpet and dash panel silencer pad and installing a revised

HVAC drain tube.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect the front passenger side carpet starting at the bottom of HVAC unit, if it is wet

perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Use the procedures outlined in TechCONNECT to remove the carpet,

2. Hang the carpet so the front portion is at the bottom and let air dry (having a fan blow

on it will speed the process).

3. Use a utility knife or similar device to cut the dash panel silencer pad as follows:

a. Cut just below the bottom of the HVAC housing from the side cowl (kick) panel

across to the transmission tunnel.

b. Cut along the transmission tunnel from the dash panel rearward and to the end of

the pad.

4. Remove the cut portion of the dash panel silencer pad and squeeze any excess water

from the pad.

5. Hang the dash panel silencer pad and let it air dry.

6. Wipe up any excess water that may be in the passenger foot well area and dry with a

towel.

7. Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist.

8. Remove the HVAC drain tube from the dash panel by squeezing and pulling on the

tube near the dash panel.

9. Install drain tube adapter, p/n 05191188AA, onto the HVAC drain nipple, (Fig. 1).

10. Install the revised drain tube, p/n 05264688, onto the drain tube adapter so the down

tube is positioned at 7 o'clock when looking toward the rear of the vehicle.

11. Seal the opening in the dash panel where the HVAC drain tube passes through with

RTV sealer, p/n 04467708.

12. Lower the vehicle.

13. After the section dash panel silencer pad has dried determine if there is any

objectionable odor. If no odor is detected reuse the original pad. If there is an

objectionable odor, use the original pad cutout as a template to cut replacement pad

from p/n 04787422AC.

14. Adhere the dash panel silencer pad to the floor pan with a small amount of RTV

sealer, p/n 04467708, and apply duct tape to the cut seam of the dash panel silencer

pad.

15. After the carpet has dried determine if there is any objectionable odor. If no odor is

detected reuse the original carpet. If there is an objectionable odor, use the

appropriate MOPAR parts catalog to determine the correct replacement carpet.

16. Use the procedures outlined in TechCONNECT to install the carpet,

The most common cause is low coolant.

Remove the spark plugs and check the compression in the cylinders, low to no compression will indicate a bent or stuck valve

no the stratus rt is a 3.0 v6

the srt-4 was only in the neon The srt4 engine is very similar to the regular 2.4L. There are some internal differences though. The only difference is the srt-4 components in the motor which can be bought as a rebuild kit if you are yanking a 2.4 from the stratus to drop it in something else, like a neon.

personally i would go with a k&n oild filter only because i use many of there parts depending on your engine size im guessing the 2.4 on a sxt go to www.knfilters.com part number HP-1004 hope this helps

Check the vaccum supply to the LDP pump, also check the wiring to the LDP.

i am sure the sound you are hearing is the half shafts (cv shafts) they are easy to replace. i would get it replaced asap. you dont want them to actually fall apart while you are driving.

Perhaps it's a shortage in the wireing? The horns may be located in the front bumper, right side, but i dunno where the wireing goes.

Problem with the transmission.

You need to have the transmission computer checked for codes to know a possible cause.

Trouble code P0605 means:Internal control module read only memory (ROM) error

The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.

On a car such as yours drivng at highway speeds, very little. Claims are made by K&N and others of up to 15 h.p. 1-2 H.P. would be more realistic.

I just changed mine last weekend, took about 3 hours to remove and about 30 min to put back on. The first step is to remove power, the battery is in the wheel well of the d/s front tire. The starter is easiest to remove from the bottom, Jack up both sides and be sure to use jack stands. Remove the bolts (3) from the accelletor cables, so that the cables can be moved so that you can gain better access from the top. Once you are able to spot the starter, use your replacement to see the alignment of the starter bolts, there should be 2 bolts. I removed 1 from the bottom and 1 from the top. After you have both bolts removed, you can then remove the ground, it is a simple pull cable, but can be tough if grease has gotten in it. Once you get the starter out, it goes in the same way just in reverse order. Good luck, have some patience and you will be done in a bit, with $$$ still in your pocket.

First off check for any tranny oil leaks if there is some check where they are coming from in my case it was the front of my tranny where my solenoid packs where located i figured out that leaking solenoid packs make the transmission lose pressure there for u get a hard down shift at about 30mph if there is no leaks and you just changed your transmission oil might need to relearn the pcm in most cases all you have to do is unplug your negative battery terminal for like 30 minutes or so if that doesn't work take it to the dealer or a transmission shop to see what might be going on.

ok...battery replacement on dodge stratus's is tricky. Your battery will actually be located on the driver side. You need to remover the wheel well cover (there should be plastic wing nuts to remove without tools). Once this cover is off you should be able to see the battery. This was one of only three major pet peeves I had with this car. Good luck!
