Dog feces can turn white due to exposure to the sun and air, causing it to dry out and lose its moisture content. This process is similar to how other organic materials may change color when exposed to the elements.

Is ground limestone poisonous to a dog?

Well, limestone is basic, meaning the opposite of acidic. Materials similar to limestone can actually be found in antacids like Tums. So in small amounts limestone is not poisonous to a dog or anyone for that matter, it will just temporarily lower the acid content of the stomach. However, limestone should not be fed to a dog or encouraged because it still is not good for a dog to be eating or digesting straight limestone in any quantity.

Is there a risk of too frequently using hydrogen peroxide to make your dog vomit?

If the dog has swallowed something harmful, first call the vet . If the vet says to induce vomiting, mix hydrogen peroxide with some lukewarm water. Should use 1 tsp for every ten pounds that the dog weighs. It should take at least 15-20 minutes until the dog finally does vomit.

Please note that I have been advised by some vets that hydrogen peroxide can damage the esophagus and cause bleeding and other problems. Of course, if you are in dire straights and cannot reach an emergency vet, this may be your only option. Just be careful!

If you are trying to prove that dogs have cleaner mouths than humans do you need to put your petri dishes in a specific place in order to grow your bacteria?

I did a science project on "Is a dog's mouth cleaner than a human's?" and it's not true. Even though our hypothesis stated that dog's mouths are cleaner because they have bacteria-cleaning enzymes in their saliva, it's not true. As to the question, you can pretty much put the petri dish anywhere, as long as it's not in the sun. That'll fry the bacteria. Cool places are best. Heat won't do you any good, but I wouldn't recommend you put it in the freezer. That's too cold. Just cool is what you want. Good luck. a dogs mouth is actually cleaner than a humans.......I've tested it myself!
