Do you mean the rear vent window?The sliding door,body side and quarter glass vent windows are done using same procedure.1.Remove upper trim moulding from around the glass. 2.Remove the screws holding llatch to glass.3. Separate glass from latch. 4. Remove nut covers and nuts holding glass hinge to window opening flange. 5. Separate glass from vehicle.

Most car windows are guided up and down by clips or strips along their sides inside the door. Those clips are usually lined with a plastic or rubber piece to protect the glass. Sometimes from aging, vibration, or occasionally improper speaker installation, that liner gets knocked off. Look carefully for something like that laying inside the bottom of the problem door or quarter panel. While you're in there, you might want to 'fish' out any loose nuts or retainer clips lying in the bottom because: 1 - you probably ought to re-install them, but 2 - normal condensation in the bottom of the door or panel can combine with those parts and start corrosion that could easily eat through any corrosion protection of the panels over time.

You have to time your jumps to arrive at a window just as it turns off, because you will need to leave before it comes back on. Use the non-electrified ledges (and roof) whenever possible.

Had the same problem with a 2003 we had. We seldomly used the back window and one day when we needed it down it had stopped working. Have somebody sit in the driver seat and actuate the window down button while somebody listens to the panel just below the window. The solenoid is in there. If the solenoid is receiving the signal from the switch up front you will hear it. If you do your problem is in the back vice anything switch or fuse related up front. Before you go through the hasle of tearing apart the back window panel I recommend having somebody up front actuate the switch down while somebody in the back applies reasonable pressure to help push the window down. Often times the motor as it gets older and is used seldomly will hit a sticking point when the window is all the way up. If this breaks it lose then run it up and down several times and it should take care of itself after that. Just actuate it a couple times a month to prevent it from sticking. If that doesn't do the trick then you are going to be pulling the panel and probably replacing the motor. If you aren't hearing the click of the solenoid when the switch up front is pressed then start with the solenoid before wasting money on the motor. A good voltmeter test set will save you time and money confirming the signal is making it to the solenoid and on to the motor.

I have a Malibu 97 and the drivers side power windows control panel has come apart. I was using a screw driver to open and close my window and sparks would often fly...

Took out the whole part, just unpops from the door, and its moduler, so you might try replacing the unit...If you problem is similar.

-defect part is the plastic-parts holding the wire to the window.

-with luck, and early repair, it can be all you need to do.

-if not: remove motor, and drill out for removingen the shield over sprocket for wire

-new wire need to be rolled on from one side, and minimum on other side. or then equal, with the lift in middle posision.

Open the door-stand between the door and the van-look at the armrest there are two Philips screws underneath-unscrew those. The door handle where you open the door! Open and hold it open-there is a 7/16 bolt-unscrew that. The window crank! There is a little cover take a real thin knife and pop that off-there's a Philips screw in the middle of the window crank- unscrew that and remove the window crank. Take a flat blade putty knife between the metal door and the interior door panel-Pop them off and the door panel will come off. Pull the plastic cover off-put the window crank back on and you should see from the there what needs to be done.
