What mpg would a 95 bronco V8 get?
== == well it would all depend on a couple things. like what size tires you have on the truck. a stock 5.0 (302) will get 14 city/18 highway and a stock 5.8 (351) will get about 1 less for each. my '95 5.8 gets an average of 20 after adding flowmaster exhaust and a K&N high-flow air filter.
I got a stock '96 XLT and the best I've ever gotten was 16.8 highway and 14.3 city.

If you are able to all you need is a set of good pliers, and try really hadr to grip the two ends and turn the rivet out. All you need is like 1 or 2 turns then you can take over wiht you hand. Afterwards it would be really helpfull to go to the harware stor and buy little srews that match so you dont have to do it again. I'm pretty sure you have to drill out the two OEM rivets that attaches the TPS to the TB. Use pop rivets to reattach.

How do you replace the fuel pump located on a 1989 Ford Bronco?
I have a 1986 Bronco XLT. That has a 302 5.0L V-8 wEFI.
Now I will mention that I just did this very thing to my own Bronco last month,. or in December 2005.
The Fuel PUMP is located down inside the Fuel Tank. It is connected to the hanger assembly and sending unit. I highly recommend that you do not buy the pump as an individual unit, as it will prove to be too cost restrictive when you realize the other components and see their condition you will truly understand the need for their replacement also.
This item can be purchased online at autozone.com cheaper than anywhere else in the US right now. You I purchased mine last month for $99.00. + $10 dollars for S+H for 2 day delivery. a total of 108 dollars... The Fuel pump by itself will run you that and then some anywhere else. In fact, most other places the pump alone runs well over the $200.00 mark. Just be sure to look for a MASTER FUEL PUMP for your 1989 FORD TRUCK BRONCO. If you go through Autozone.com like I did, mine INCLUDED: FUEL PUMP, HANGER ASSEMBLY, AND STRAINER and the NEW SENDING UNIT and O-ring seal already to drop into your tank.
The tank is another area of consideration... Think about the fact that it is nearly 20 years old... While it is out of the vehicle, it should at least be cleaned, ie "boiled out" at a very minimum before being reinstalled.
I've seen the cost on this service exceed the 200.oo mark and myself opted to buy a brand new tank. I suggest that you contact Mark at BroncoGraveyard.com tell him Jack McCann out in Washington sent you. At the Broncograveyard, A New 33 gallon steel tank cost's $99.00 or a plastic tank runs around $120.00.. either one with shipping is still less than cleaning the one you have. They do cost more, actually anywhere from 50 to 100% more at most other places. Also, do not be fooled by the name into thinking the bronco "graveyard" is for old or used parts. All of my components are Brand New OE and OEM Parts.
I would recommend having a friend help you here, but you can do this by yourslef as long as you have a floor jack nearby to help support the weight of the tank. This will be even more important in lifting it back up and holding it and balancing and shifting it around, while reinstalling the straps and bolts and skid plate.
Now, you can either drain the tank to make it lighter to work with. Although it is not required. I did mine with it half full or with 18+ gallons left in it anyway. Personally I disposed of my gas by giving it to a friend who has an old carburated vehicle.
A} First thing you will want to do is disconnect the negative battery cable.
B} Now your ready to remove the Skid Plate covering the tank.
C} Keeping in mind that their are two pipe lines and a vapor return line connected on the top of the tank which you should carefully disconnect {remembering, or marking which went where} along with disconnecting the filler inlet hose at the filler gate door.
D} Once the bolts are removed holding the tank straps, it is time to lower the tank from from the vehicle.
Now that the tank is down on the ground, you will need to loosen and remove the LOCK ring from around the Hanger Assembly and pull it out of the tank. After you inspect this component you'll see why I tried to explain all of the above to you first. Installing only a new pump or even reinstalling the complete new assembly as discussed above, into the old dirty, grimy, crusty, rusted out tank is clearly a waste of your time and money.
Putting this back is pretty much in reverse order.
Happy Motoring

How do you replace fuel gauge sending unit 1988 ford bronco?
First un hook your battery completely, and make sure your tank is nearly completely empty, makes the job easier. Drop the gas tank, take the high pressure fuel lines loose ( you need a special tool you can get at your local auto parts store) un hook all the wire from the sending unit there is a locking ring you will need to loosen with a hammer, and maybe a screw driver. then the sending unit will pop right out, un fortunately you have to replace the entire unit. $$$ This is a good time to clean up your tank and maybe coat it with under coating or spray paint it.

How do you replace the heater core on a 1998 Cherokee sport?
Changing the heater core requires complete removal of the dash panel and plenum box. To do this you have to remove the steering wheel, steering column, evacuate and recharge the refrigerant system and drain the radiator. I would only consider changing the heater core if it is physically leaking into the passenger compartment. If the problem is heat transfer to the HVAC system only, the problem is more likely with the blend doors. Check heatertreater.net for pictures and diagnostic information.
Tools required
10 mm socket and 3" extension
#2 Phillips screwdriver
putty knife
wire cutter
door panel removal tool - available from any auto parts store
straight blade screwdriver
Estimated time to replace 1 1/2 to 2 hours
Cost of new actuator AND motor - $50 on eBay - 11/07
This procedure assumes a new unit will be installed.
1 - remove trim piece from around the door handle by prying it out along the top and front edges. Once loosened, it comes unhinged from the back edge.
2 - remove the Phillips head screw from metal bracket, that is revealed after removing the trim piece
3 - pry the inside light assembly from the door panel and remove the bulb socket from the housing
4 - pry the door panel from the frame using a panel removal tool by starting at the bottom (this GM design is greatly improved from the old assembly system - ie: 94 Chevy Caprice) and releasing the 7 plastic studs from the frame.
5 - Remove the 2 mounting bolts for the rear door controller and disconnect the cables.
6 - use a putty knife and door removal tool to remove the plastic vapor barrier.
7 - reach inside the door and locate the cable that is attached to the bottom of the lift mechanism and then cut it.
8 - push the window class to the full UP position (this will locate it horizontally and vertically) and tape it in place.
9 - near the top of the sheet metal there will be 2 openings (1 square and 1 round). When the glass is in the full up position, there will be (2) 10 mm bolts in view. Loosen these bolts which will open the rubber coated clamps on the bottom of the glass. The lift mechanism will free fall to the bottom position when these bolts are loose.
10 - remove the window lift motor plug and (3) 10 mm nuts that hold the lift mechanism in place and remove through the opening at the front of the inner door sheet metal. It will take a little bit of turning and twisting to remove the unit.
11 - loosen (do not remove) the 2 bolts for the window clamps on the new unit before installing.
12 - make sure the new unit is not in the full up position before installing.
13 - install the new lift mechanism in the door and tighten the (3) 10 mm mounting nuts.
14 - connect the power plug into the new lift motor
15 - temporarily connect the rear door controller, turn on the ignition and slowly raise the new lift mechanism using the window up switch on the driver's door.
16 - when the lift is in the full up position, tighten the window glass clamps using the same access holes as when you removed the glass clamps.
17 - slowly cycle the window down and up to make sure it doesn't bind
18 - disconnect the read door controller and reverse the process for assembly
19 - make sure the rear door light socket and bulb are not trapped behind the plastic.

Step 4 Improvement.
After an hour of online research and three phone calls to different mechanics we came to the conclusion that the GMC "J" tool is worthless and a waste of $10. It is suppose to help remove the push bolts that attach the side panel however with a flat head screwdriver and some brute force you can pull the door panel loose from the door. Start in the bottom right corner slide the screwdriver along until you find the first of 7 plastic bolts once located place one hand on each side of the bolt and pull and it will snap off, do same with the other 7 and lift the panel upward to expose the interior of the door.

Step 17 Improvement
One cause of binding is the cable not winding properly around the drum. To see whether that is the case, you may need to remove the lift mechanism, connect the power plug, carefully hold it (for instance by the motor), and cycle it. The problem can be fixed by slightly bending the end of the rail and/or the spring that is misfeeding the cable to the drum.
Depends on what the smell is? Can be many things including mildew or mold in the HVAC system.
