How can I get a print out for a Side door cable hook up on a Ford 1993 van E-150 The cable broke and can't open side door from inside but will open from the outside?

I had the same problem with my 95 Ford E-150,

I went to the local Ford dealer they have a detailed print out of the parts needed.

If I remember right, you can't get just the cable anymore, you have to purchase a kit that includes the latch assembly also.

Might want to check the local salvage yard, cable shouldn't be more than 5 to 10 bucks,

hope this helps

Why does it get very hard to turn the steering wheel at times The fluid it full in my Ford E 150 4.2L?

Might want to check the belt tension on the pulley of the power steering pump to ensure it is not slipping. Also check for any fluid on the belt or pulley which may cause it to slip.

Is it difficult to change the thermostat on a 1994 Ford E-150 Econoline van 5.8 V8 EFI HD?

1. LIFT THE HOOD AND PROP IT UP 2. REMOVE THE AIR CLEANER AND ALL OF THE AIR CLEANER HOSES (KEEP TRACK OF WHERE THEY BELONG)

3. Drain coolant from radiator into appropriate container (if more than 2 years old, properly discard and replace with new coolant, either ready to use or straight anti-freeze using distilled water only). Note: Use of tap water will cause radiator and heater core failure and possibly engine and transmission damage from overheating.

4. Remove serpentine belt and idler pulley (improves access to thermostat housing retention bolts).

5. Remove upper radiator hose and by-pass hose (recommend you replace the upper hose and by-pass hose on re-assembly).

6. Remove the thermostat housing with as gentle pressure as possible to the bolts. These vehicles have an aluminum intake manifold and there is a danger of dissimilar metal corrosion weakening the bolts and making it very easy to twist them off leaving a portion in the manifold (major problem).

7. Assuming no problems with the bolts grab the neck of the thermostat housing and break the gasket cement seal. Once off the old thermostat is easily removed.

8. Remove old gasket and gasket sealer material from both surfaces with a proper scraping tool.

9. Install new thermostat with pointed portion facing outward from engine using new gasket and appropriate gasket cement/sealer.

Reinstall idler pulley and serpentine belt (check for excessive cracking on underside of belt and replace if any portion has gaps in the ridges or if has been in service more than 40,000 miles of driving.

Re-install hoses using new hose clamps ( new hoses and clamps are recommended).

Re-install air intake hoses (check air filter for need of replacement) Check to make sure radiator drain valve is closed.

Fill radiator with proper amount of coolant.

Were would the marking be for setting the timing belt for a 89 Pontiac sunbird 20?

There are markings on the camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket. When one is lined up with a notch in the rear timing belt cover, the other should be lined up with the 10 degree mark on the front timing belt cover. Note that you will probably have to remove the front right wheel and splash guard to see one set of markings and the front timing belt cover to see the other.

The manual mirrors fold back at highway speeds how do you tighten them. 96 Ram 1500?

You will have to remove the inner door panel with a screwdriver by prying it away from door. It is just held in place with plastic clips. Then remove three 10mm nuts holding your mirror to the door. With mirror removed there are 3 small torqe scres that will need to be removed, then just rotate the plastic cap out of the way and tighted the 4 slighly larger torque bits (I think the are T-25's)Just follow the reverse to put back to gether

i have 97 ram, with the same issue. after many hours of trying i ended up braking the black plastic off from around the base of the mirror. after that i found 3 screws that come in from in side the door, getting the piece of plastic off will not be EZ, but after that there are 4 screws that hold the mirror in place. a litte lock tite and an Allen wrench and you set.
