There is a special tool needed to remove the fuel lines, the tool is not expensive. The filter is located under the vehicle just forward of the fuel tank there is a 10mm bolt holding it to the vehicle.

Open hatch. Theres an access hole inside towards taillight. Unscrew plastic knob by hand. Along side of taillight -(outside of car)- in the drip rail- there is a Philips head screw. Undo this and pop taillight assembly out. Turn bulb holder to remove. Reverse process to install

This happened to my Ion as well about 10 minutes after performing an emergency braking test for my kids. I turn off the child safety locks. I think I also had to hold the door latch in the up position as I closed the door. ( I cant remember if I had to be inside the car or outside of the car). I know I also fiddled with the door locks to make sure I had manually had them unlocked (versus with the remote).

It's considered a design flaw by ford and do not offer to fix it. As for the mechanics behind it, I'm still at a loss. Sorry I can't offer anymore information on this.

Buy a Toyota or a Nissan! Seriously though, you describe a rattle while stopped with engine under strain. Some places to look: catalytic converter shield. Thin sheet metal that's over converter as a heat shield. Notorious for rusting and rattling. ALSO- check other parts of the exhuast...clamps, hangers... If you decide to stick your head under the car to find out, make sure each wheel has a chock, front and back, and the emergency brake is on! Good Luck! <<<ADR>>>

I cant focus I want to know how

1. Open hatchback

2. On upper right for drivers side and upper left for passenger side remove screw (philip head)

3. Inside hatchback on frame locate large opening under lower part of tail light. Unscrew black retaining nut (looks like a round wing nut).

4. Pull lens up and out (upper part of lens has a retension pin) to gain access to bulbs. Turn bulb housing counter clockwise to remove mount. Wiring harness can also be removed to ease turning. Take care not to break the snap on clip on wiring harness.

u need a wrench or a spark plug socket and maybe an extension.......remove the spark plug wire n start unscrewing the spark plug.....when u install new spark plugs make sure it is gapped to proper specifications,......u can look on the sticker under the hood, install same way u took it off, real easy

on the 2005 and later ford focuses they have coil over, there for- you have to unscrew the bolt holding the coil down, once that bolt is removed, you simply just pull the whole unit up and out, once out you remove the spark plug as u normally would probably with a 6" extension, and the appropriate spark plug socket. and just reverse the process, there quite easy to do.

The starter on my Focus 2.3 Litre, won't even crank, if the transponder isn't making

contact, with the sensor around the lock cylinder. There is also a TSB(Technical Service

Bulletin) for a "Hard Starting" condition for the Focus. If I park my car, then go to start

it again, it will crank, but not start on occassion, so maybe that's what's going on instead, don't know. You have to get the ECU reprogrammed by a Ford dealer, to get the TSB thing done, which is free. Good luck.

You would fill the system with R-134a, using the low side port. The bad part is that your low side port is not easy to access. You will need to remove the passenger side wheel, remove the plastic wall and your port is there.

Under the bonnet there is a fuse bow near the bulkhead. Fuse number 63 is central locking. Its a 20 amp fuse.

To take off the panel, first go around the outside of the panel and remove 6 screws. Two at the outside, two at the hinge and two on the bottom.

Next, there is a small pop cover under the door opening lever, take this out and remove the screw. this will allow you to take off the cover around the door lever.

On the main door handle there are two holes underneath, take a square head screwdriver and push into the holes and click the catches. This will pop off the cover on the handle. Under this cover there are two big square head screws that attached the handle to the door frame.

Once removed the door cover will just fall out.

You may need to charge your a/c with refrigerant.

It is not legal, and as the computer tries to correct for the missing converter, the fuel economy and engine performance will suffer.

Most likely if you remove the cat, the fuel mileage will get worse.

Ok, so since that won't work, can I buy a turbo muffler or something, such as Hooker. You can convert it to a true dual exhaust system and it will help your fuel economy but it is not cost effective. By the time you purchase the necessary parts and another converter to keep it legal, the money you spend can never be recovered in fuel savings.

Turn your steering wheel to the right. The port is in front of the right wheel on the fender well, closest to the radiator.
