No, the 94 top won't fit a 97. In 1995 the top design changed. The years that are interchangable are 89-94, 95-98 and 99-03.

This question should be, how to raise and lower rear seats.

There is no pull cord for either of the rear seats -- only for the front passenger seat.

Each of the rear seats has a knob located on the the top corner. Lift the knob to adjust the seat (lower or raise). that is how mine works. In addition, if you join the GM community, you will have access to the downloadable Owner's Manual (pdf) with pictures.

If it was the throwout bearing, it would affect all of the gears, not just one. I would suspect a bad gear or syncronizer.

most auto parts store carry auto manuals for all vehicles, if they don't have it they can order it.

It is on the passenger side of the engine on the bottom/ low side just in front of the fire wall. Just track the heavy ground wire off the battery negative side and it will lead you right to it.

Take your vehicle to Advance Auto, Pep Boy's or AutoZone and buy the replacement wiper. Someone behind the counter will go out and install it for you at no charge. Watch what they do so you can replace it next time.

yoke , you must mean the rear prop shaft including U-Joint yokes.

unbolt u-joint flange at rear axle.

prop shaft just slides out of transfer case.

Hi, my book tells me that the Idle Air Control Assy is located on the right side of the throttle body. I'll have to take a look to because my '97 is fuel injected and I didn't think I had a throttle body but that's what the book says for the 1992-1998 1.6L and 1.8L engines. Hope this helps and that you have a warm place to check, we don't here, it has just snowed and it's about 28 deegrees F, good luck.

If you get the chilton manuel for Suzuki Samurai/Sidekick/Tracker... #66500...1986-98, you can find the diagram on page 4-46. It is labeled as #10 on the diagram of the engine. It looks like it attached to the bottom edge of the fuel injection system. I hope this is of some use. p.s. this is for a 1.6 TFI engine.

I just installed one yesterday. Very nice top, extremely easy to install, all you need are 2 screwdrivers (p2 & p3) and a 5mm Allen wrench. I only got the rear unit because I decided to keep the front sunroof stock. Total delivered to my house with the optional sliding windows was $800, that us a few hundred $ cheaper than BesTop's (around 1,100$).

To check the fluids in a manual transmission you have to get under the vehicle and remove the fill plug on the side of the housing for a manual does not have a dipstick

All 1995 GEO Trackers have a clutch cable that is adjustable instead of a clutch reservior filled with hydraulic fluid.

Hi, The back up switch for the auto trans is under the shift console cover although the book says it is mounted on the transmission, mine is under the console, I have a '97 4WD/ 3 spd. I sure hope this helps. Steve H.

easy take out the drain plug (lower plug) located midway through the transmission using a 3/8 drive. This will drain the tranny oil. Then break the upper plug loose and put the lower plug in and tighten. Slowly fill the tranny with 85w/90 through the upper plug until it flows out of the plug you are filling. Finally install the fill plug and tighten.

I am not sure if the 97 is the same as the 92, but with a 92 it is simple; but expensive.
On the 92 you pull the center part of the steering wheel off, (yes, grip it and pull it off).
Then use a 17mm socket and take the steering wheel off, (after pulling the
nut off, you have to wiggle and pull the steering wheel in all directions while pulling backwards; don't hit yourself in the face).
Then you undo 6 screws, from the bottom, on the steering column cover. This breaks into 2 parts; one that will fall off the bottom and the top part you will have to maneuver out.
The headlight-combination switch is revealed at this point.
Undo the 4 screws that mount it to the column.
Pull it straight off.
There is a panel below the column that pops off; pop it off now.
Undo the wiring harness clip. (possibly cut a zap strap that holds the wiring to the column).
Put in new combination switch in reverse.
Obstacles:
The cost of the combination switch; 2 - 500 bucks depending.
When putting the cover back around the column; the rubber boots that go in the holes can be tricky, view them to see how they fit properly.
Put the steering wheel back on straight; otherwise you will be constantly annoyed.
You will constantly honk the horn as you do this job; or maybe that's just me.

The 2 wheel drive model had 195-75-R15 and the 4 wheel drive was 205-75-R15 as standard equipment on those cars both in 1995 and 1996. Because of the design of the whell wells, you could easily put larger rims up to probably 18, 19 inches if you used a lower profile (30 or 40 series tire) on the car. The suspension, if stiff can accomodate an even wider tire, but it's no fun when you go through water and the portion of the wheel sticking outside of the fenderwell throws all of the water up into the passenger compartment.
