If you mean Geo Tracker, it seems to have been manufactured by Suzuki. Same as Suzuki Sidekick, Chev Tracker, Asuna Sunrunner, Pontiac Sunrunner. Just re-badging of the same product.

it will be poking out of the transmission bellhousing where it attaches to the engine. It is on the passanger side (Right side) of the engine, right below the intake manifold. It has the battery positive cable and a smaller wire from the ignition attached to it and is held in place by two 13-MM headed bolts. Remember to remove the negative battery cable before going anywhere near the starter.

Hi, If nothing has happened, such as an acident, try squirting some lubricant into the latch and try lubing the springs on either side of the handle under the licence plate light holder and latch handle cover, then keep trying it. This very same malady has befalen mine and that's what I needed to do, If it still won't work then you need to remove the panel cover from the inside and see if anything is broken. The only bad thing is that you usually need to replace the buttons that hold the panel on. Good luck.Steve H.

I have a 99 tracker 2 liter - I just replaced the pcv valve $15 Off of the manifold there are 2 hoses going to valve cover - One of them has a plastic L shaped pcv valve attached to it sticking in the cover Pull it out then replace and shove back in. If you buy the pcv valve you can visually ID it on the hose Good luck

I would like to do the same thing on a 1990 Tracker but have not found anyone that makes adaptor plates for the tranny. There is a place that makes adaptor plates so you can install a Volkswagon 4 cyl. turbo diesel. To expensive for me but if your interested go to acmeadaptors.com and take a look.

This is pretty simple. Disconnect the cable from the transmission then, follow the cable up through the engine compartment disconnecting the plastic clips along the way. Once you get to the firewall, use a socket to remove the two bolts holding it there. Go inside and unhook that end from the clutch pedal arm. Follow this process in reverse to install the new on and you are done!

Hi, my schematic shows a noise suppressor filter that's connected to the distributor which I believe that's it's an interference engine if I think I'm reading what you're looking for. I just haven't found where in the car it is yet. All I can go by is what used to be and then it was at the distributor or the coil but I'll look and see tomorrow if I can locate where it is.

Its acturally a non interfering engine!. Me and father bolth have a 91 and 94 Geo Tracker. Geo/suzuki did not make any severe changes to the model until 99. that's when Chevy bought the company, geo off of suzuki. and that's when they started to get gay! hahaha I have had my timing belt break on me and my car still runs to this day all I had to do is put a new timing belt in it that's it! and getting the timing back is easy there's nouthen you can do to make it any worse then it is. you just line up the dots!

Follow the spark plug wire from the #1 cylinder back to the distributor. This will be the 1 position. The #1 cylinder is the one at the front of the engine closest to the radiator.

Check inside the glove box. On my 91 sidekick it is inside and up under just to the side of the latch. Even sitting in the seat it can not bee seen. Hope this helps.

you don't they are very limited motors. the best advice i can give you is a cold air intake and maybe a more open exhaust otherwise enjoy it like it is.

It only has like 80 horsepower, and absolutely no torque. Mine was the same way.

From the drivers seat (USA), it is left of the steering column and looking from under the dash in that area, above the main fuse block.

my 1990 tracker runs at a little less than 3,500 rpms and it has a 1.6 backed with a 3-speed trany.

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
