How do you remove the spark plugs on a 2000 Yukon XL?
Get a 5/8" spark plug socket, socket wrench, and if you can a spark plug wire removal pliers. The spark plugs are located on the sides of the engine, between the exhaust manifold. Remove the wire covering the spark plug be careful ,don't just pull on it, first turn it, from side to side, using the pliers. Due to the heat the wire bonds with the spark plug and easy to tear them. So first twist them and then pull. Make sure you pull close to the end. Insert the socket on the spark plug and turn counter clockwise. Before you install the new plug, check the gap. Insert the new plug in the socket and turn it with your fingers three-to four turns is good. Make sure you turn in with your fingers first is very easy to damage the threat if you use the socket wrench. Once you feel the plug has gone straight into the thread use the socket wrench to tighten it. Its the same procedure for the rest of them.

Look along the air intake passage front to throtle body; I'm sure it's there somewhere. Many parts houses on the Internet have component locators, try NAPA or Autozone, Shucks....many local libraries have on line resources for auto repair. You might find a component locator there as well. Go buy a Haynes Auto Repair manual for your car.

Gm shop manual for 1999. Book 2 of 4, page 6-1548 shows it as being mounted on one of the two stainless steel fuel lines coming up into the engine compartment just ahead of a monoblock which fastens the monoblock to the drivers side rear of the engine block. I just looked at mine this afternoon. Looking at your engine from the front of the vehicle you will see the fuel injector assembly at the rear of the intake manifold (behiold the throttle body). Looking past the injector assembly, a little to the right, down the block a little ways (towards the firewall) you will see the SS Monoblock from which the two lines feed fuel to the the injector assembly. On the line closest to the distributor you will find the Fuel Pressure Connection (it will have a black plastic cap on it). NEW ANSWER; He told you where the valve is to hook fuel pressure gauge up.
I think your queston was about Pressure regulator location. You have to remove the
upper half of the intake ( PLENUEM ) and you will see it on the back of the spider Assembley, It's round and has a nipple on it.

What is the towing capacity of a 2004 GMC Yukon with a 5.3 liter engine?
Depends on the rear-end gear ratio. Google "tow rating" and look at the 'Trailer Life' site. They have listings for tow ratings by the vehicles year and other specs.
First, the cruise control switch on the dash, left of the steering wheel, must be set to the "on" position. Press it; the switch will light when it's in the "on" position (the light is only noticeable if you're looking at it). If memory serves, every time you start the car the cruise system will default to "off," but that's easy to check (the light). Once you reach your desired cruising speed, press the steering wheel button that is labeled (again, if memory serves) "set, coast. It's the lower of the two steering wheel buttons (again, if memory serves), so if the lettering is rubbed off or my recollection of the label is wrong, no matter. In any case, there is no harm in pressing the wrong button. (If you press the wrong button at this point, the system just ignores you.) There will be a very brief lag -- probably about 1 second and 2 mph -- between the time you press the button and the time the cruise control kicks in. Once cruise is engaged, to reset it at a higher or lower speed, press and hold one of the steering wheel buttons until you reach the desired new speed. Upper button is to accelerate, lower button is to decelerate (coast). Hitting the brakes, even lightly, will disengage the cruise setting but not turn off the system. If you do this, you can resume cruising at the most recent setting simply by hitting the upper steering wheel button, as long as you are going at least 30 mph. You can come to a complete stop, use the gas pedal to get back to at least 30 mph and then hit the upper button -- that will work. But if you're going, say 20 mph and hit the button, the system will ignore you. The cruise system does not work for speeds less than 30 mph. The brake always disengages the cruise setting until you re-awaken cruise by hitting either button.
What kind of transmission does the 2003 GMC Yukon-XL have?
The 2003 GMC Yukon-XL has a 4-speed automatic.
If the vehicle has a limited slip type rear differential, friction modifer needs to be added to the rear differential fluid. If not, the clutches will bind and growl at low speed turns. After you add the friction modifier, it is best to do several figure "8's" to circulate the fluid. The groaning, and growling should go away within 200 miles, if not the clutches may be worn out. ( The additive is available from your dealer)

Remove the shroud, upper and lower then remove belt. Next remove the alternator bracket and alternator as one unit after you disconnect the electrical connection. Disconnect the two hydraulic lines that go to the pump. One screw into the bottom of the pump and the other uses a clamp on the side of the pump. Take the bracket that protects the tubing out. Remove two nuts behind the P/S pump. (There are a total of eight bolts and two nuts to remove the pump.) Reverse the order to install the new pump after you transfer the connections to the new pump.
