You could, but because the '94 Prelude is heavier than the '89 Prelude, it doesn't make sense to swap in a smaller powered motor.

The 1992-1996 are old school bolt patterns, so you must use a 4-bolt pattern because only the Preludes used the 4x114 bolt pattern, whereas same era Accords and Civics were using the 4x100. In other words, all the prelude rims are interchangeable between the Preludes. Hope this helps.

behind the main fuse panel under left side of steering wheel. there are two black boxes(relays) that plug in. the fuel pump cut-off relay will be the one that has three prongs sticking out of it once removed. looking at it yoo will see holes on top of it. many people mistake it for a chime relay. you may have to remove the other relay also to get the fuel relay out.

if you look at the radiator then follow the black hose at the top it'll be right below where it connects to the rest of the engine. That's where it makes sure the fans turn on when it gets too hot.

Considering there were five generations of the Honda Prelude, this question needs to be more specific. The Prelude lineup featured a variety of engines over the years of different engine families, ranging from 1.8L to 2.3L

The fifth generation Prelude (1997-2001) featured a 2.2L DOHC VTEC engine rated for appr. 195-200bhp.

The fourth generation Prelude (1992-1996) featured two different engine families, the "H" engine and the "F" engine. The "H" engine in the 4th gen is a DOHC design, the 2.2L variant having VTEC, featured in the VTEC trim and being rated for 180bhp-190bhp at the end of the generation. The 2.3L "H" engine was DOHC but did not feature VTEC, was found in the SI trim, and rated for 160bhp. Finally, the basic level trim featured the 2.2L SOHC "F" engine, which also did not include VTEC. The "F" engine in the 4th gen Prelude is rated for 125hp.

Have you checked the idle air control valve? You're problem could be a number of things but giving that it's a Honda I'd say check that first. You can actually just take it off and clean it and reinstall it. Good to go 👍

92-96 Hondas in general have OBD1, not OBD2 and therefore no OBD2 / diagnostics plug.

Wrecking yard is a good place. Very rarely will a place like autozone, or Schucks will have a TPS. Maybe Napa. In Indiana there is no where i could find a new TPS. NAPA, Autozone, Advance, O'Reilys or even the salvage yards have it. the reason why is because the darn thing is riveted to the intake manifold. no bolts. I was told the only to get a new TPS was to purchase a new intake manifold...Good Luck

High HC is unburnt fuel. Check the O2 sensors, Plugs, wires,cap ,rotor, timing. If it failed CO & Nox also check the converter. Possible that it may not have been properly warmed up before testing.

I would recommend looking at the o2 sensor (you only have one on your car) and the coolant temp sensor.

Te water pump is located in the timing belt area, behind the timing covers. it's ran off the timing belt it self. The timing belt and balncer belt must be removed.(both belts and tensioners should be replaced at the same time due to access and the fact you have to remove them anyways) get a haynes Book it will give you the proper removal procedures NOTE: ---VERY IMPORTANT---- the timing must be kept in spec 100% or SEVERE damage to your engine will happen!! Every thing MUST be at TDC(top dead center) Crank/cam gears/balncer shafts. get the haynes for more info and have fun and do it right! =)
