Well I had that problem when I got my qx4....Simple note...key doesnt go all the way inside key hole.....some of the key should be sticking out and then turn gently....hope that helps

I had this problem one morning and called my mechanic. I also thought it was the ignitiion, but he told me to try another key. That was the problem! My key had worn down enough to not work properly. It seemed like the ignition was bad because I could not unlock the steering wheel. If you think about it, changing the ignition gives you a new key. Always try the least expensive first.

Under the lower intake manifold... the entire manifold must be removed which is a 2.5hr job... and you will see it on the engine block itself.

Cold Exhaust, warm up to ease removal. Hot Exhaust, cool down to touch. Disconnect O2 Sensor Plug. Soak threads with PB blaster & wait a bit for the stuff to work through. With the help of a O2 Sensor tool or a 22 mm(7/8") Crow Foot, remove Sensor. Clean threads on exhaust(wire brush, etc). Put anti-seize compound on the new Sensor's threads: Be very careful not to put any on the probe, just the threads! Install Sensor & torque to specs(?30 lb-ft?). Reconnect plug.

If everything seems to be working fine, then it is just a reminder to change the timing belt which is critical. The light is programmed to come on at certain mileage intervals usually around 80,000 then again somewhere between 150,000 and 160,000. The point being that you take it to the factory and have it checked out for any possible emissions or ignition type issues. But if your vehicle's mileage is not close to either one of these milestones then I would suggest you take it to the dealer or another reputable shops because you have issues. The only real way to have the code cleared is to take it to a mechanic with a code reader. I've heard that you can sometimes reset that code by disconnecting the battery cables for a minute then reconnecting, the idea is that it "resets" everything back to factory settings. I personally haven't found it to work but it's worth a shot.

underneath the rear of the vehicle near the spare tire if i remember right. it is on the side of a black box (evap canister) it is the "vent control valve". it could be other things than just the valve itself setting this code.

You can get a kit off the web. Once you do that you will have to pull the side panels and tail lights. Insert the plugs and put back together. You will have to run the wires back towards the middle of the "trunk" area. You can either drill a hole and run the wires through the floor, or store the wire connector inside and just close the door on the wires when you need to. There is room and will not hurt the wires or seal.

The Jack Is Underneath The Rear Right Seat.

You just have to unscrew the light casing with a regular Phillips screw driver. the casing will come right out and you can put in the new bulb.

It may have picked up debris or sediment from the bottom of the gas tank. You should probably have your engine flushed and fill with fresh gasoline.

You have to start by taking off the grill. Then you need to pull out the whole light houseing. When you have the whole light off its easy from there. Just remember not to touch the light bulb with your fingers.

When you look underneath the vehicle, near the side steps and tire is a oval shaped groove. this is where you put the jack.

When you open the hood, on the left side there is a skinny pipe and you will see a valve with a green cap. This is where you put in the freon. When you buy the frion, it should come with a hose that just pushes on to the valve and shoots the freon into the pipe.

The parts cost about $200, and if you find an honest mechanic about $200 to install them. There is no alighnment nessasary for replacing the struts on Qx4s

Sure you can. Go to a salvage yard and just purchase a wheel/tire combo off a wrecked Infiniti or any other car that will fit. Your problem may be where to store it if you do not have the proper storage area.
