When the oil is burnt off temperatures skyrocket. the lead bearings in the motor melt from friction, the metal in the block and head expands from the heat, and a lot of times causes warping, mostly during the cooling process do to different cooling rates of the block and head. If you suddenly cool an extreamly hot motor you can actually crack it in half! The other direction... if it freezes, it can also crack the block from expansion

You will need to unscrew the screws holding your dash in, then you just pull it off and take off the mounting kit, (this SHOULD be screwed in also), then you pull out your CD player and unhook the harness. And that should do it.-Shocker

I assume that this is the only return filter going to your furnance which would be located in the attic. Check all other bedrooms and see if there are 2 grill openings in the ceiling (meaning that room has its own supply register and return register) or if there is only 1 grill register in each bedroom.If only 1 grill register in every room than this is your only return grill intake for the furnance.this filter should be checked every 30-45 days and replaced if dirty.Keeping this filter clean will keep your furnance running at its peak performance. If however there are 2 grill openings in your bedrooms then you will have to go into the attic and check the filter inside your furnance also.I assume your home is single level with one heat system?

I just had the same problem with my 02 Lancer. I found a bad fuse 10 amps, enclosed in a yellow plastic holder, cap, ...There are 2 10 amp fuse in this holder. The fuse is located under the hood, driver side fuse box. Hope this helps...Good luck

Both cars are good cars, I myself happen to own the WRX, and love it. However in C&D and R&T tests both cars go back and forth between which one is better almost every other year. Usually the difference in track times is between .1 and .3 seconds. I guess what I'm saying is which one do you think looks better?

Any car will stall going around corners with only about 1 gallon of gas left in the tank (15-20 miles). A car should never be driven that low anyway as most modern cars have in the gas tank electric fuel pumps. The gas is actually used as a coolant for the fuel pump and if the car is driven too often down to the dregs of the fuel tank the fuel pump will prematurely fail due to overheating. It's a bear to replace the in tank fuel pumps on most cars. Also, it's not good for your gas mileage either to run the tank dry on a regular basis. Most fuel gauges are not all that accurate so when the gas gauge comes just to the "E" there should be about 2-3 gallons of gas left and you shouldn't push it beyond that. You should actually not drive past a quarter tank if at all possible. If you want to get a rough idea of how your fuel gauge is calibrated on a new or new to you car, fill the car completely up with gas. If the gauge reads much over the "F" (such as up to a quarter space on the gauge if it were marked past "F") you will most likely run out of gas right when the gauge hits "E". If the tank is completely full and stops at "F" without going past, you will usually have a small buffer at "E" before you completely run out of gas.

Taking apart the dash to get to the CD player is merely a matter of prying up that silver part of your center console. Just take a flat screwdriver, put some electrical tape over the tip so you dont scratch, and go around the perimeter of it. It will come off. The CD player is held in by only 4 screws. underneath that.

Never ever try to repair a starter!! DIY mechanics don't have access to the tools or parts required to repair them. take the old starter to a parts store and have it tested, if they find it to be bad, they can sell you a remanufactured one for around $140. Do this one right and save yourself a bunch of headache
