Squealing noise right front passenger side has new brakes right front spindle serpentine belt when i turn right into parking space loud squeal and moving slow and braking could it be a wheel bearing?

I would start by tightening the power steering belt if it's separate. If it's one belt alone, tighten or change it if it looks warn. If new breaks squeal it is because the person who changed them did not grease the pads before putting them on.

Where is the dipstick for transmission located on a 98 manual Mitsubishi Montero?

locating the dipstick on a manual trannyIf, in fact, this is a manual transmission you are asking about then the answer is "there is NO dipstick on manual transmissions".

Only automatic transmissions have a dipstick. Manual transmissions have a plug in the side that must be unscrewed to check the fluid/gearlube level. Note, also, that 4X4 vehicles also have a transfer case bolted to the back of the transmission which has it's own level hole that must be checked as well.

The fluid/gearlube should only be up to the bottom edge of the hole (make sure the vehicle is on a level surface. The theory is, if you pump in the fluid/gearlube until it runs back out, then wait till it stops running out, the level will be perfect and you can put the plug(s) back in.

Hope this helps.

Where is the IAT sensor located on a Mitsubishi Eclipse?

if you are trying to find this to make more power by upping your fuel mixture by tricking that sensor i am telling you its a bad idea. you really are not going to make any real power, contrary to popular belief, especially if you are an N.A. motor. if you are trying to find it for a real reason it is on the back side of the intake plenum closer to the passenger side of the motor. it has a grey plug and what will look like a threaded nut and nipple that attatches it to the plenum. honestly if you are trying to trick the ecu with that sensor you are going to regret it later on. in all actuality if its a turbo car you should even be worried about something that insignificant spend the dough get a boost controller and youre good. if its an N.A. car nothing you can ever do short of a motor swap or a heap of nitrous will ever make that car fast.

How do you eject a CD from a 95 Mitsubishi mirage CD player that is factory installed the display just reads error and nothing seems to work?

I'm a car audio installer in Nashville, TN and from what I've seen all you can do is take that CD player out from the car and you should see the screws that actually hold the top of the CD player together and all you do is take the factory piece apart, because if it's reading "error" all it's good for is a paper weight.

How do you remove a car stereo on Mitsubishi Galant 01?

Here is the answer to the best of my knowledge. This applies to any body that has the need to get the code from the dealership and requires to pull out the radio and look up the serial number. The process is very simple, just follow these steps and you'll be on your way to listening to your radio again. First of all don't think you need to unscrew anything. The wood panel sorounding your stereo snaps out by pulling on it or using a flat screw driver at the corners. Once you have taken the panel out, you can see that the radio is held in by 2 hooks. Push up and pull forward slightly. You don't have to pull out the entire radio because you can see the serial number on the top surface very easyly. Write down the number next to where it reads s/n. Once you have the serial number, call the local dealership and give them your serial number. They will in turn give you a four digit code number that you will enter on your radio. One thing to note is that if you have entered the wrong code number 3 times, your radio would lock up and it would read "OFF". To unlock it, simply park your veichle in a safe place and leave the radio on for about 1 hour (no engine running just click the egnition switch to operate the radio). After one hour, the radio resetes and will aks you again to enter the code. start entering one number at a time using the first 4 buttons. Example, if your code is 4538, you would push button 1 four times to get to the number 4, you would push button 2 five times to get to the number five and so on.. After you have entered the correct code, push the CD button and there you have it.

Why is your 2000 Mitsubishi mirage automatic is having a problem shifting?

2000 Mitsubishi Mirage Automatic Transmission has a "Learning Computer" that adjusts the shifting to the drivers habits. Your "OE" Owners Manuel will have the "Specifics" of this system.

In the event you do not have this Valuable Piece of Original Equipment, Let me give you a basic run down.

The Onboard computer keeps a "Shift" record for the first 500 miles of driving the car experiences. The computer uses the "Red Line" and 2K-4K RMP averages to know when to shift. This record adjusts the shifting pattern/level to the ORIGIONAL drivers "Habits". To reset the computer, the car must have no power applied to the electrical system for a total of 30 min. This "Automatically" resets the Automatic Transmission to Default Learning Mode.

Be Forewarned!!! Disconnecting the Power to the control box can cause "Other" well documented "Issues" with your 1999+ Mitsubishi!!! Your Radio May not work properly, Your timing may be off by 20 Degrees, Your Fuel delivery system will Malfunction if there is a Vacuum Leak or Plugged Filter, Bad Gas cap, Cracked Evaporator ect.. Your CB, HAM, Personal Communication device, Cell Phone, Remote Start System, and/or Car alarm WILL cause the computer to NOT RESET Properly if they are installed WRONG!! Again the Proper Installation of these items are listed in the OE " Owners Manuel "!

If you do not have an original " Owners Manuel " I strongly Suggest you check with your local "Junk Yards" to see if they have one on the lot they are willing to let you take a look at. They may even sell you one outright for under $5.00 US!!

These are Great ECONO-Boxes for the Original Purchasers if they are Maintained according to the OE Owner's Manual! If you are Unlucky enough to purchase one "Second Hand" and do not have the OE "Owner's Manual", You will need to find one for your year and follow it's "Advice". By doing so, you will get the 400K+ mileage out of your ORIGIONAL Motor/Tranny Like I have! Then Again it's the Wife's car.. and it only costs $450.00 US a year to maintain. This includes the replacement of things like Alternators, Water Pumps, Starters, Belts, Fluids, Tires, ECT... and this car still gets 38 MPG Highway 32 Citywith 465,000 on the OD!! It does Smoke a bit, uses a Quart of oil a month, But still passes Emissions testing!!

I guess those Kamikaze Engineers knew what they were doing when they designed the "Original" platform for this 1.8 motor!!

I have a "Japan Remanufactured" motor on order.. It will come "Burned In" with 35K miles. :)~

But for $650.00 US and 6 hours labor... It will be worth keeping this car on the road!
