carefully read and study the wiring diagrams, and be certain there is nothing connected wrong...good luck everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional manual available...in the reference section, you'll have to make copies of the important sections...good luck :)

There is a plug on the side of the transmission housing and if I remember it takes 90 weight oil. Check the manufacturer's oil type, may be hypoid oil. Stick your finger in the hole, fills up to the hole, so if your pinky comes out wet you are fine.
There are many possible causes. Including, worn spark plugs, failed oxygen sensor, leaking injector, improper reading from the MAP or TPS sensors, etc.

look at the bottom of your steering column... there is like a plain plastic space that's like a foot and a half wide... run both your hands down it,till you reach the bottom and curl your fingers around the inside on the bottom... grip the plastic( not the metal framework) and gently pull the plastic tin the direction your ankles are...should pop right off, and the fuses are on the left...

1. Using two fingers, depress (at the same time) any one of the six memory pushbuttons and volume control knob. Hours and a flashing colon will be displayed.
2. Rotate the tuning knob clockwise to advance the hour setting, or counterclockwise to decrease it.
3. depress the volume knob again to display minutes and make the setting in the same way.
4. Depress the volume knob to restart the clock.
this is for a am/FM stereo with cassette. Hope this helps you.
Yes, but they are extremely rare on the late 80's K cars. I like the short console used on the 87-89 Aries and Reliant w/ stick shift (weaker earlier transmissions had the shifter hardware under the floorboard and so did not require bucket seats and a console). even most of the (few) bucket seat cars were automatic..either column shift or floor auto with the big ugly console that connected to the dash. the 5spd makes for quicker acceleration and better highway fuel economy than the 3 speed auto. i just wish they had made the 2.5 available with 5spd. they did on other cars like the spirit (base model), shadow and daytona which are all direct spinoffs of the k car chassis.
yes i have heard of them, oh wait i own one! Lol, yes They exist ad i love mine, they are good cars.

To set the timing you unplug the temp. sensor in the thermostat housing and set the timing to 12 degrees before T.C. with the automatic trans.
Open up the hood. The coil is located on the right fender positioned at an angle off approx. 45 degrees. Disconnect the negative battery cable.Pull off the coil wire. Remove the 3 wires from the 2 side posts on the coil. Make that you remember which ones go on the positive and which one goes on the negative terminal on the coil. I find that it is best to then to remove the coil with the bracket still attached from the car. Undo the clamp from the coil after you have noted which side of the coil was on the left side when it was in the car. Remove the coil from the bracket, get the new coil into the bracket. Position the pos and neg. terminals in the bracket as per the old coil and tighten the clamp down snugly,... not over tightened. Replace the 3 wires that you took off and clamp them down with the nuts on the new terminal. Replace the coil wire and reconnect the battery cable. When you are replacing all of the wires check them for corrosion and bad or nearly broken connectors.
Reliant Energy serves various parts of Texas. You would need to contact the company to ensure service in your area.

Mitchell Automotive service manuals at your public library have all diagrams on a vehicle. Some include the radio wiring diagrams while most just have the wiring
to the radio shown. If Mitchell manuals do not have the diagram you want you
will have to find the manufacturer of the radio, and the model number. At that
point you can try the manufacturer for one ..... OR. also in the library ask the
person at the Business, Science, Technology service desk to look at a copy of
the Sam's Photofact Servicer Index book. Then look up your radio under the
manufacturer, and sometimes even listed under your car manufacturer for the
radio. The Howard W. Sams company has been in business for many, many
years to provide radio, tv, and appliance dealers with service manuals/ folders.
Some librarians do not recognize the name of 'Sam's' or such, but then ask for
Howard W. Sam's master index. All libraries should have these. It is in the Federal
Register for Library books. If they don't have it, they can get it.
To open the tailgate you have to use the key in the tailgate lock. If it is like mine, it does not always release immediately and you just need to push on the tailgate while the key is turned. You should be able to hear the latch release and then you just lift the tailgate up. If the shock absorbers for it are worn out it will be a slow hard lift to get it to open completely.

It is on the back of the engine, under the intake.

ok, pop the hood on that sucker. stand right in the center of the car.
close to the front of the car you will see this electric fan apparatus, on the far side of the radiator(from you) take your right hand and run it along the top of this fan till you reach the far right edge of it, take your hand and go like 2 inches forward and straight down should be the little apparatus aptly labeled Speed Sensor
so basically of the right corner of the electric fan behing the radiato
given the history of the car its probably covered in like an 16th inch layer of grease and you have to wipe it off
if your throttle is sticking (as it often did in mine) the apparatus in which you seek is not to blame... take off that ridiculously huge air filter (3 plastic screws) and take the whole thing(lid, airfilter and the part that holds the airfilter up) and set it off to the right( should still be attached to a hose) and look on the right side of your carb.(the thing you just took your airfliter off of) and check for the notorious broken throttle cable of reliants.
if sticking throttle cable isn't your problem, then best o luck
The power steering pump is by the firewall on pasanger side of car. Fill it with transmission fluid. The cap has a dipstick on it.
