How do you replace the ignition in a 1995 Pontiac Firebird?

The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00

What is the 1978 firing oder of a 403 olds?

per Chilton's, the firing order of the 78 toro, 403cu in. is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The same as the 455cu

Firing order should be cast into intake in front of carb if you have factory cast iron intake but above answer is right

also it has a counter clockwise rotation unlike the corporate engine firing order

Trap door to replace fuel pump in a 1996 firebird . where do i cut it and how big?

You don't cut the tank! You have to drop the tank to change the fuel pump. There are two straps holding it up..each with one bolt. Remove those bolts and remove any hoses or wiring by loosening the clamps and unplugging the wires. There will be a ring on top of the gas tank. It will either be a type that you have to use a piece of wood and hammer to tap loose or it will look something like a snap ring. A lot of the later cars use the snap ring type...I know for sure beginning in 92. Once that is off lift out the fuel pump.

DO NOT cut the tank. One tiny spark and you and your car are history.

What is the firing order for a 1994 Pontiac Firebird V6?

Pretty simpple (you might need to write this down) 1,2,3,4,5,6 is the firing order. Funny. The firing order is based on the 3.4L distributorless system in the vehicle - (and no it's not 1-6). Buy yourself a Chilton's guide or go to any auto parts store and they'll look it up for free.

Where is the heater fan located on a 1979 Pontiac Firebird?

Your problem is when you put it in drive and hit the accelerator the car hesitates to go Once it gets going it seems to be fine It is just the inital starting out Its also dies when you come to a stop?

vaccum leak

Check your vacuum lines for any hissing. If someone can correct me, There should be a vacuum line routing sticker under the hood. Also check your air hose from the air box to the throttle body. I had this problem on my Sunfire and I needed an intake hose and it was fixed. Good luck.

How do you install a right wheel cylinder in a 1994 Pontiac fire bird?

If one is bad then both rear need replaced, you need to take the back brake shoes off and then take the brake line out of the wheel cylinder in the back of it and there are 2 bolts that hold the cylinder onto the backing plate, take the bolts out and then the cylinder will come off, just reverse the process to reinstall the new cylinder and be sure when you have everything back together to bleed the back wheel cylinders.

What was made first a firebird or a thunderbird?

To the best of my knowledge, and unless this is a trick question, production T-birds were made in 1955, and production Firebirds in 1967. So the Thunderbird was made first.

Why is my 1997 Firebird leaking coolant from above the water pump and below the thermostat housing?

I just got threw with the same problem. There is a heater bypass plastic elbow there. It must be replaced the problem is its a lot of work we had to remove intake manifold. Hope this helps.

Actually it is easy just remove belt from alternator take off alternator 3 bolts, then take off the two hoses they are located under the alternator then take that part off 2 bolts

if plastic elbow are cracked $3 part replace there are 2 elbows get the red sealer and lubercate around elbows both ends and replace. the top elbow put it in the motor first then bottom elbow put it in the other piece, before you shove it into the other elbow place the bottom elbow in position that's it

Where is the crank sensor on a 1991 Buick Regal - 31L?

THE CRANK SENSOR IS LOCATED ON THE PASSINGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE , BUT ON THE BACK OF THE ENGINE YOU MMUST REMOVE THE FRONT TIRE TO REACH IT RIGHT BEYOND THE SPEED SENSOR

No it's not!

It is located between the transmission and the engine block above the oil pan on the rear(since the engine is sideways)just about the middle of the car. It has one bolt holding it in and it is a little hard to get out, careful not to break the bolt

If there is a knocking or tapping noise in a 1995 Firebird with a slight ping that is not coming from the engine and it only happens when you press the gas could it be that the u-joints are worn out?

U Joints can certainly make noise after they've started wearing and are dried out. If you have concern about an unfamiliar noise, take the vehicle to a trusted mechanic or even the dealer. It's nearly impossible to tell you what the noise would be from a description like that.

Why does smoke billow out of the exhaust when you start a 91 Firebird Formula?

Valve seals/guides, plugged oil drain holes in the head, PCV valve/line plugged/malfunctioning, etc. IF its WHITE it could b a blown head gasket-IF its BLACK it means there is 2 much FUEL getting 2 the engine & if its BLUE it COULD b valve stem seals OR piston rings or @ the WILDEST blocked oil return holes.
