How do you verify that car recalls were FIXED?
There is a small plate with a grid of numbers and letters affixed under the hood. Recalls performed by a Saab dealership are stamped onto that plate. A Saab dealer can decypher the numbers on the plate to let you know which recalls have been performed.
Should the 2007 Nissan Altima rear sway bar be recalled?
Yes. I have a 2007 Altima and the damn thing snapped on me. Nissan says it's not a defect in their manufacturing but the damn sway bar is hollow on the inside. I took the car to an independent mechanic and had him check the area around the sway bar where the bar had snapped. There was no indication that there was damage in the surrounding area denoting the broken sway bar was not damaged due to running over anything or extraordinary force applied to the bar.
Yes! My 07 altima's just snapped as well! There are several cases of this posted online with pictures. If its not a defect and lots of people are reporting it broken under normal driving conditions then that must mean their sway bar is not adequate for this car which poses a safety concern in my opinion!
I am the owner of a Nissan Altima 2007 and I have experienced the same problem. I have reported the incident to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration online and recommend all owners who have experienced the same problem to report this. If possible, please provide the VIN of your vehicle. This will allow NHTSA to track down the problem vehicles. The process takes less than 2 minutes. Hopefully, we get Nissan to own up the their manufacture defect and force them to recall. Go here... Is there a recall on the 2008 ford escape abs brakes?
No there is not. Our 2008 escape just needed a new abs system. It cost us $1200 including towing. Ford would not cover it as it is not a recall.

In Canada a man had a Toyota Corolla and asked the Toyota dealership if his was one of the recalls for the sticking gas pedal. He was told no it was not. Within days the same man was on a freeway (on Canadian news) and he was doing the speed limit, but wanted to pass another car and his gas pedal stuck. He was frantic and missing cars by inches and had the presence of mind to phone 911. A police cruiser came after him and got up beside him telling him what to do and then got in front of him so he could slow the Toyota down and eventually they came to an incline in the freeway and the Toyota came to a stop. The man who owned the Toyota said he would never get back in that car again! It showed the car being towed off to the Toyota dealership. There is also a recall on some Toyota's for steering problems and also the new recall is the breaking system. The hydraulics they have put in these Toyota's apparently was a bad idea. I own a 2009 and was told my gas pedal was fine, but I insisted on the extra part being put in and they had to do it. Recalls for slight problems come with most vehicles, but not three serious recalls. Since Toyota's have been built in the West and not Japan they are not up to standard and I am taking my Toyota back.

yes there have been a few,the biggys were for bad main relay and fuel pump relay,then there was the connectors had to have a clip put on ALL of them,the owners manual was printed wrong dealing with how to jump start the car with another battery. once these problems were FINALLY figured out cars have been quite reliable for the most part.

Heater coil? Or do you mean the heater core? If it's the core, the problem might be due to rust in the cooling system. This is usually because someone just filled or topped off the system with plain water instead of a 50/50 mix of water/antifreeze. I'd have the whole cooling system flushed before replacing another heater core, and make sure the proper mix of water/antifreeze is used to refill the system.
