Best way to pay out of state car dealer?

I would not advise buying out of state no matter how good it sounds. There is no way to keep it risk free & you can get the same car near you. If they are a legitimate dealer, they can ship to a dealership near you & if you like what you see, then buy it. I have had this done in the past. Even if you have to pay for shipping, it's cheap insurance & imagine what you save if it's not as represented.. Get it checked out before you buy if not warrantied. For less than 100.00 there are lots of companies that will go anywhere to inspect a car for you.

What happens if you elect to have your boat reposessed by your bank?

Pay the difference after boat is sold! _______________________________________________ The bank will usually sell the boat at an auction for little or nothing, then you must still pay the difference in what they made from selling it and what you owed. Best bet is private sell then pay bank.

Can a repo man cut a chain hooked on car sitting next to your car being repoed because he doesnt really know who the chain belongs to?

Yes, he can do that. You are attempting to hold on to property that is no longer yours. In using the chain you technically are attempting to steal the vehicle. He is acting as agent for the owner and as such he can certainly cut the chain. If you want to sue him for a new chain he will probably sue you for the extra work necessary to repo the vehicle. Next time just pay your bills.

How can you give a 1999 yz 125 dirt bike more acceleration or power?

Try polishing the exhaust port, you can also enlarge it in different ways to get either top end or bottom end power but that's better done by an experienced engineer. Also some exhausts are fitted with restricters so an aftermarket exhaust will help, then upgrade your jets in the carb, put a good airfilter like a k&n. Good Luck

Try going with a smaller tooth sprocket in the front and a larger one in the rear. It will give you faster accelleration, but lower top speed.

How long can a creditor hold vehicle after money has been paid on a repo?

That's not enough information. First, we're not lawyers, you'll need to explain things to a lawyer or go to the bank to see what's going on. Second, it all depends on what the original loan documents said. Once you're past due or in any way violate the terms of the agreement, they can take the vehicle and sell it. If you pay off the loan after that, it's possibly just a bonus for them. Remember that once you have defaulted on the loan, all bets are off and you don't have any real protection under the law.

How do you find out who owns a car?

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on all modern vehicles can be used to locate the registered owner. Since the registered owner information also contains mailing address and other personal information, it is not readily available to the public. But, that number does tie the vehicle to an owner. The license plate 'could' be used to track the registered owner through the Motor Registration system (varies from U.S. State-to-State, and other countries), but the license plate is just a bolt on 'tag', which can be easily stolen and switched between vehicles. Therefore, it is not as reliable as using the VIN number, which is stamped or etched into the metal (and various hidden places) to ensure tracability.

Can a dealer legally repossess your car if you were not late on a payment but they said they took it because you didn't have a job even though you did and they put it up for sale the next day?

I hope you saved ALL of your payment reciepts! Unless it was part of your contract to maintain employment @ all times, and you state that you had a job. Does that mean you had a job at the time of repossesion? & your payments were all current? If so I would consult your attorney. I dont mean to be rude but something does not sound right. It sounds like you are doing buisness with a buy here pay here place.good luck to you.

They were repossessed, which means the individuals did not make payments on them. Which means they probably didn't bother with routine maintenance, such as oil changes. There is no telling what condition they are in.

How do you get a copy of a lost auto title purchased in Canada?

When dealing with out of country titles it is often easier to get a new title than find the old one. You would need and address here in the states, and a few notarized documents. If you are trying to find the title to import a vehicle or export you have to have a title. I have found titles for importers and exporters. You must do this before you export the vehicle. If the vehicle gets caught in customs they charge very high storage fees by the Day. I had one guy who had a Roles Royce in pieces coming from New Zealand was there for 5 months it cost over $14000 in storage It took 3. WWW.GetNewTitle.com can solve all your titling needs and has a Money back guarantee.

Easy, contact www.MyCarTitle.com , they can replace any lost title for all kinds of Vehicle's. I personally received my title back in 3 to 4 weeks. Best of Luck !

Can you rent a car while in Chapter 13?

I think your missing the point..your not prevented from doing something...it's that OTHERS are prevented from doing things to recover from you...because you didn't do as you promised...that is ...pay on time. Your now given the chance to get it together with a budget and new promises...you can do anything you want....but you better keep your promises this time....in other words: Don't rent a car and not pay those you promised to pay for something already.

It depends. If you keep up with the vehicles oil changes and frequent services, it shouldn't effect vehicle performance. Although if you never change the oil, other fluids, and never change tires........or no maintence at all, yea youll be screwed by the time you reach 200,000 miles

How do you put a lien on a car?

Contact the clerk of the district court in your jurisdiction. They will tell you the necessary procedures. Which forms you need to fill out, have notarized, proof of your claim, etc. You might consider Small Claims Court, which is simpler, but it is for monetary claims only (at leasst in the states I am familiar with). I am assuming you are asking foryourself, rather than how a lien could be filed against you. Regardless the basic procedure is the same. The papers are filed, a hearing is held, a judgment may or may not be granted. If a judgment is awarded, there is further paperwork/action that has to be done to enforce the judgment.

If it is in New York State, you file a lien against a vehicle's owner through the Department Of Motor Vehicles.

It costs about $350.
