How much will you pay for gas if it costs 2.89 a gallon and you are going 467.47 miles on a 16 gallon regular tank at 26 miles per gallon?

Divide mileage (467.47) by miles per gallon (26) to determine how many gallons are required and multiply by price per gallon (2.89) to determine cost of gasoline for the trip: 467.47 / 26 = 17.97515 gallons x 2.89 = $51.96.

How much oil goes into a Briggs stratton 5hp go cart motor?

There is no such thing as a Briggs and Stratton Go Kart motor. Yes, you may be using it in a kart, but it wasn't designed for it. So we need Model number to give you a proper answer, though I will give you a clue you can follow. In all the B and S engines I ever worked on, there was a small dipstick that screwed into the oil pan from the top. Most of the ones I remember took about 3 pints of oil and this could be accurately measured by this dipstick.

What is the difference between 1 horsepower and one cc?

Horsepower is a measurement of the capacity to perform work. 1 horsepower is defined as a unit of work equal to 33,000 foot pounds per minute, 550 foot pounds per second, or 746 Watts. A cc is a cubic centimeter and is a measure of volume, one cubic centimeter. A box one centimeter long, one centimeter wide and one centimeter tall. In short, one is volume measurement and the other is power measurement and there is no conversion between the two. If you are referring to engines, usually both are advertised. Larger cc engines have more displacement and usually more power since they have are burning more fuel poer revolution compared to smaller engines, but this is just one charachteristic to be used for comparison.

Are there any laws against snowmobiling across water?

Bodies of water - frozen water - are used for snowmobiling all the time. Snowmobiling across water becomes a legal issue when the body of water is on private property. Entering private property without the owner's permission is "trespassing" and laws are in place that can make it a criminal or a civil offense. While there are some specific exceptions to the laws, if No Trespassing signs are posted around an area to wish to access, honor the sign's warning and do not enter the property. Most public bodies of water are there for public use. Unless a posting specifically prohibits the use of snowmobiles, you have free access.

How do you replace ignition coil on 5 hp Tecumseh?

1. Remove the housing

2. remove the flywheel

3. push ignition wire through the plate and remove the screw holding the ignition wire to the plate.

4. slide the ignition wire around the plate shaft bearing to that it is next to the coil

5. remove the wires on the points.

6. remove the condenser

7. Here is what you are looking for. . . The coil can be removed by putting a screw driver BEHIND the plate it is mounted to and applying force to slip it off of the laminated plate(s) it is on. There are no screws and you DO NOT have to remove the mounting plate. It just slips off/

Why does a Briggs and Stratton 4.5 HP lawn mower engine stop 2-3 seconds after it starts unless you continue to prime it?

If this happens to be a engine with a aquare paper air filer on it, about 4x6, behind the air filter box itself where it joins the carb, there is a funky shaped gasket there that eventually gets eaten up by fuel being pushed thru the primer channel, solution, replace it. This could also be a carb problem to though, question is, will it stay running if you continue to prime it? If it does, replace the gasket, if not do a carb kit, its easy. However...the gasket I am referring to, part # 272996, Briggs & stratton number, install 2 back on it, this will work better and last longer. If you buy a kit ( # 498260 ) do ask for a extra gasket, the kit only comes with one, but trust me, 2 works way better.. Your reason for even having to do this is state fuel, always use fuel stablizers, always ! Make sure when you put the air cleaner cover back on the 3 small screws holding the cover on, tighten them evenly, otherwise the will vibrate out.

The above answer is spot on. But, you can also check a couple other things. I just spent a day a half on mine searching for the 'simple problem' and in now runs like a top. I did replace the gasket behind the carb (as described above). But I still wasn't able to keep it running more than a few seconds. If you'll look inside the card while pushing the primer bulb, you should be able to see fuel pump up through the gold tube in the middle of the throttle body. If you see just a tiny but of gas or no gas at all, then try these additional fixes. The gasket for the fuel bowl must be in the groove and not weathered. The primer bulb must not be cracked at all. I still could not keep my running after all these fixes, so i turned the bolt on the bowl an additional 1/8 of a turn. It then started and has not given me any problems since. You CANNOT have any air leaks for the fuel to draw.

So here's your list that totals less than $20.00.

New plug, primer bulb, oil, fresh gas, new gaskets ( carb and fuel bowl). Tighten, but do not over tighten. This entire process is a 30 minute fix if you have all these parts on hand. Lowe's and walmart will not have these parts. You will have to go to a lawn equipment shop where they usually keep all this in stock.

What type of fuel tank and how many lines does a Johnson model RDS-21B take?

The 1959 model, 35 hp Johnson uses a two line, pressure type fuel tank. The tank is equipped with a pump, for initial priming, and as the engine runs, air, generated by crankcase pressure, travels down one line, from the engine, and pressurizes the tank. With the tank pressurized, fuel is then forced through the second hose to the engine.
