We know nothing about alien civilizations - anything we believe about them would be speculation. However, based on the age of the Universe, and the fact that our own Solar System is less than half the age of the Universe (so we "came late", so to speak"), there well could be civilizations that are several billion years old.

As likert scale are ordinal data can I obtain mean and SD from them?
If you are considering a single ordinal variable, determining the mode or median would be meaningful, but the mean or SD would not. Many researchers do consider likert-scale data to possess only ordinal qualities. However, leading research studies, for example in the marketing area, obtain measures such as means and standard deviations from likert-scale data. Indeed leading textbooks also follow this approach. One concern has been that the 'distances' between points on a likert scale are not equal, for example the 'distance' or 'difference' between a strongly disagree and disagree is not the same as the difference between disagree and neutral. A recent study discusses these issues, as well as demonstrating that data obtained from 5-point, 7-point and 10-point likert scales are approximately comparable in terms of mean score (once re-scaled) and various measures of variation and data shape. Shell imprints and bones can be found in what type of rock?
It's always in a sedimentary rock, but mostly they will be found in a limestone. Some limestones, like the 'shelly' limestone, will be more likely to contain shells than others, like the oolitic limestone (which is not made out of shells). Again, bones will tend to be found in sedimentary rocks, but the actual bones will tend to have dissolved and been replaced by rock minerals which precipitated out of solution to fill the 'mould' left by the bone (unless they were deposited recently, in which case you're more likely to find them in unconsolidated sediment like sand/mud).

Economic problem in essence is the problem of scarcity of resources in comparison with human wants.
In everyday life, we encounter many economic problems, poverty, unemployment, inflation etc, but if we start analyzing them, we will find that every problem has it's roots in the fundamental problem of scarcity of resources. Scarcity forces choices in consumption and production of goods. Scarcity creates conflicts. Scarcity means that not every body is getting everything he wants and there will be losers and winners.
Scarcity arises because of two underlying conditions:
Physical condition, that is, limited productive resources and a mental condition that is , unlimited wants.
Physical limits do not alone-establish scarcity-in an economic sense. It is the human wants which make resources insufficient.
Wants are unlimited, people want much more than just necessities.
So the bitter fact is economic problem is permanent.
Is Anti-Semitism still a problem in today's society?
Certainly. It is mostly an issue in places where there are large numbers of both Jews and Anti-Semites, such as France, but it occurs elsewhere too. Anti-Semitism is much more common in the Islamic World than elsewhere.

These incidents take place not only in France and Germany, but also in counties like Belgium, Austria and the U.K.
- Recent physical assaults against Jews in Europe include beatings, stabbings and other violence, in a number of cases resulting in serious injury or death. Holland and Sweden have also had high rates of antisemitic attacks since 2000.
