The fuel pump will be in the gas tank. The relay should be in the engine compartment perhaps on the right side as you look at it. Look for a "black box" that may have diagrams and discriptions of fuse's and relay. Good Luck and Remember.

if the flanges match up for the exhaust side and the dump pipe then there is no problem. you will also need to see if the oil and water ( where applicable because some turbos dont have water cooling ) lines match up and are secure.

Drain it, and replace the filter (optional). Personally I use the dipstick tube to add it, as unscrewing it from the bottom and pumping it in is... overkill.

Depends on type of car. Some have a computer that senses a problem and shuts down. Others have electronic ignition components that could fail. Others have a point and gap in the distributor that could be bad.

It could be a "slight" problem with the electronic sensors. If a "check engine" light is on, the computer has detected a problem with the sensors. You need to use a code scanner to detect the fault code.

Check engine light is a problem sensed from the computer. You need to find a code that will tell you what the problem is. A local parts store may do the test for free. There is a way to do it at home but I need to look up the way to do it. The problem will be evident once you find the code. Mine is usually a connector that is loose or off. Some sensors being bad will set limits as to what the engine will do. Like the knock sensor will reduce power by up to 50 percent. So check out the code.

The last set of these that I fitted,were vauxhall supplied,and required just fitting.They were oil filled and ready to go. Don't think I remember any that could be filled with oil,just regard them like a big shock absorber.

Sometimes an electronically controlled (or manually for that matter) mirror will become displaced due to a bump on the housing, which allows a certain amount of movement. This is so the mirror doesn't get snapped off if it gets bumped.

When this happens the control mechanism at the back of the mirror is dislodged and must be coaxed back into place, it's not too difficult, just have a good look at it and work out what you need to do.

The 1997 Toyota 4Runner takes a special rear wiper you have to purchase at the dealer. When purchasing the part, ask for the replacement procedure. Located on top of fuel tank. To gain access, remove rear passenger seat. Un-fasten cover and disconnect wires. Lift up and out. Make sure to keep everything clean and disconnect battery to avoid any potential sparks. Enjoy!

Naturally, Toyota says to use only "Toyota Long Life Engine Coolant or Equivalant". In laymans terms, the "or equivalant" means go the auto parts store and ask for "the pink stuff". They'll know what you mean even if you don't.

if it's like my other toyotas (83 celica, 91 corolla, 04 tacoma) you can't open the doors using a slim jim. there's a rod in there that moves laterally (front to back, parallel w/ the ground and side of the vehicle). In the past, AAA has wedged a plastic wedge b/t the door/body and then used a hook like tool (looks like a square root sign -- the checkmark w/ a little 'finger' at the end) to push the door lock up.

same as rambler in line 6, drill a 1/4" holl into the plug & use a 5/16' taperd srew remover to lock &unscrew the plug.

usually the skid control light is not the only light to come on. if there is a check engine light and or abs light on also (i suspect that this is the case) these problems need to be addressed first. for example if the engine has a misfire, the skid control system cannot work properly so the computer trips both lights to let you know you ought to have it checked. when the light is on it will not operate!

Replace the evaporative vent valve. It closes in order to seal the vent so the system can pressurize and ensure there are no leaks.

Finding stock replacements are difficult (and expensive) The speakers are 6 1/2" round. The door speakers are the same size. You can purchase most any speakers, but make sure they will fit the depth. The rears seem to have a good amount of clearance, but the speakers in the door are VERY tight. I used Polk Audio db 650's in all four and they seem to work well. They are about 2" deep. To get at the back speakers, you need to remove the rear seat and then remove the side trim panels.
