What causes radio and side mirrors not to work on 2005 corolla?
There is a 15 Amp fuse in the engine bay in a fuse box located on the right near the battery which controls the radio and the clock (and possibly the mirrors). Open it up and look on the right column of the box. You will see a large 40 Amp fuse followed by smaller fuses above it. I cannot remember exactly which fuse it is, but it's a 15 Amp one. If memory serves me correctly, I believe there will be 3 sets of fuses. the lowest will be a 15A, followed by a 30A fuse and I can't remember which fuse is above that one, but the 15A fuse is the one to check.
If all else fails, check all the fuses in the engine bay and check the AM1 and AM2 fuses in the car located on the drivers side. There is no easy way to get to them, you will have to pop your head down by the gas and break pedal and look up into the dash. You will see a panel which is held in by clips. That is the fuse panel.
How do you manually open a stuck glove box on a corolla?

How often do you check the oil level in a vectra 20 DTI 2002?
This engine has a bit of a reputation as an oil user, although we have the same in a Zafira, and it never needs topping up between half yearly changes. For safety, the level should be checked weekly or each 300 miles.
== == All owners manuals, for all cars that I have ever seen, always suggest "weekly".
The reason for this is simple. If the car develops an oil leak, you will find out at most 7 days after the leak starts.
From a practical point of view, if it's a new car to you, start weekly, and then once you get a feel as to how much oil the car uses (or does not use) adjust the time scale.
An acceptable oil consumption for a Vauxhall, according to Vauxhall UK (so I have been told, don't take it as fact), is roughly 0.5L per 1000Miles. With a service interval of 20,000 miles, it's easy to see that a car can use 10L of oil between services. As the engine only hold about ~4.5L, you can run out of oil well before the service is due.
As an Aside, it's also quite common to go a whole year and not need to top up at all. My Astra does not use a drop, and it's 10 years old. :)
What is the maximum number of gears on a motor vehicle?
There is no maximum. The manufacture could theoretically put as many gears as they want. Mercedes Benz has a 7 speed transmission & Chrysler has an 8 speed transmission. Long haul semi-trucks have 26 gears ratios or more.
What are the valve clearances on the Nissan TD27 diesel engine?

Since 1984, all Toyota Corolla are equiped with front wheel drive.
The 100 amp fuse is bolted in. You can not simple pull it out with a fuse puller or a pair of pliers. You have to remove the fuse box in the cars engine compartment. Then you need to remove the back pannel and gain access to the back of the fuse. Make sure you disconnect the battery first.
Once you access the back of the fuse, simple unbolt the fuse you want to remove. Then you can pull it out and replace it with another.
Pull fuses out bottom of fuse box . Then unbolt fuse to replace!! Not that easy for me!!!

When do you change Timing Belts on a Toyota Corolla?
Major job requiring special tools and skill. If you don't know what you are doing, take it to an expert. Serious damage can occur if done incorrectly. Most timing belts should be changed every 60,000 miles. It is a complex job but if you get a good manual it describes both the correct intervals and the procedure to change it. No Belts! Check with with dealership. Most new corolla's have chains. They last forever! I have a 93 corolla with 500,000 miles on it and I change my BELT every 100,000 miles. No chain. Had an old 89 GTS with a chain and when it broke it was a dickens to fix. bent a valve too.
I have never seen a timing belt break due to pre-mature wear! seriously! only from the water pump failing. And yes I would do the water pump at 60,000 just to be safe and it is cheaper to do when you do the timing belt...
i also recommend you change the crank and cam seals. And by the way anything can break its called metal fatigue chains where replaced in the 80`s I haven't seen a chain in years.
How does the drive axle come out of a 1992 Toyota Celica GT?
Very simple. Shops charge by the hour for half shaft replacement, so hours are high.
On Toyotas, much like Hondas, removal is fairly easy. Jack up the front end, secure with jack stands and remove the tires. Put a drift in the fins of the rotor through the caliper. Loosen the half shaft bolt. Remove the calipers and tie them off so that the hoses do not stretch or get in a bind. Remove the caliper mounting bracket. Remove the tie rod nut and separate with a tie rod separator tool. Loosen the lower ball joint nut and separate with a ball joint separator tool. Lift the entire spindle unit up and swing it out so tha the half shaft is out of the hub. Using a small pry bar, remove the half shaft from the transaxle case. There is a small clip on the end of the half shaft which is used as a retainer to hold it in the transmission. Make sure that you have a drip pan below because fluid will run out a little. Replace the same way and torque to specs. Should only take a couple of hours to remove the old shafts from both sides. Also, don't think about rebuilding the axle if you don't have to because it is usually cheaper and the rebuilt unit sometimes comes with a "lifetime" replace warranty. Repair On!!!

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1983 Toyota Corolla?
I don't know about a 1983, but the fuel filter on a 1991 is mounted on the left INNER fender, below the master cylinder. .
It should be next to the firewall in the engine compartment, if you are facing the engine with the hood up. It will be on the left side possibly attached to a metal clip that just pops off, you will see a duel spout on it with two hoses (1 hose per spout) coming out each spout. It will more then likely have an arrow on the filter showing which way the fuel goes in and which way it comes out. Email me if you need instructions on how to take it off and such.
