to tell you the truth is better to be safe and change your belt around 90,000 miles and while youre at it have youre water pump changed also.I waited to late and just had to buy a new engine.

Depends on the make, model, year, and engine in your vehicle, none of which you list. It ranges from 60,000 to 110,00 miles. Some cars have interference engines and as such if the belt breaks you will have internal engine damage. Open and read your owners manual or call your local dealer for a correct answer.

On mine you remove the 4 Allen key bolts then remove the facia. This needs a little prying out at top or side. This should uncover the radio mounting bracket. Remove screws holding radio in and slide out. Disconnect wires by pulling gently whilst depressing little clip at the bottom of the plug.

how do you remove automatic locking hub.

Well to replace the rotor you must take off the hub. to take off the hub you remove the cap. then there is a snap ring you must push together and pull the inside of the hub out. After that you need a special socket that has 4 prongs on it. take the nut off. then pull the washer out and take off the other nut witch needs the same socket. then your rotor is free to come off just pull.

Remove caliper mounting bolts

Slide caliper off rotor

The S-10 rotor is also the wheel mount. There is a cap that needs to be removed from the end of the rotor. Under the cap is a pin locked nut, you need to remove the pin by bending the top of it carefully and then pull it out.

Remove the nut holding on the rotor. the rotor should slide off now replace the rotor

reverse the order being sure to apply new grease to the system.

This is a common problem with Montana vans. Its usually bad wire which runs under the front passenger side carpet.

Check the other lock switch and see if it works. If it does you have a bad switch and it needs to be replaced. If neither one works you may have to take it to a dealer

Don't take it to the dealer! This is EASY! I just finished fixing mine. The remote worked fine, the key worked fine, but the switches did not, and I wasn't about to fork out dough for a switch I didn't need. Pull off the sill plate on the passenger side, and the kick panel. Pull up the carpet toward the middle of the van, and have someone hold it there. You will have to unravel a bunch of electrical tape from the harness.There are two wires (one white, one blue) that have connectors that go from one wire each to two wires each. Cut these connectors off and replace them with a new good piece of wire, about 5 inches long. Solder if possible, tape them up or better still use shrink wrap if possible. Tape up the harness, and put the carpet, kick panel and sill plate back in. Total time 15 minutes.

Tail lamps (taillight and brake in one lens)usually are double filament (two bulbs in one) and I surmise that one of the filaments are out. Check the bulb! Y-THINK-Y There is a grounding problem. Check the taillight ground or the wire or connection to the bulb socket.

Major job requiring special tools and skill. If you don't know what you are doing, take it to an expert. Serious damage can occur if done incorrectly. Most timing belts should be changed every 60,000 miles. It is a complex job but if you get a good manual it describes both the correct intervals and the procedure to change it. No Belts! Check with with dealership. Most new corolla's have chains. They last forever! I have a 93 corolla with 500,000 miles on it and I change my BELT every 100,000 miles. No chain. Had an old 89 GTS with a chain and when it broke it was a dickens to fix. bent a valve too.

I have never seen a timing belt break due to pre-mature wear! seriously! only from the water pump failing. And yes I would do the water pump at 60,000 just to be safe and it is cheaper to do when you do the timing belt...

i also recommend you change the crank and cam seals. And by the way anything can break its called metal fatigue chains where replaced in the 80`s I haven't seen a chain in years.

as a former Toyota technician, i saw some of these "whistlers". Try changing the PCV valve with a new one from Toyota.

if that doesnt work (it probably wont) try removing the spars on the roof rack (if equipt). I see this from time to time and it will drive you crazy! also make sure the rear windows are completely shut.

Cabin Filter located under passenger side cowel outside. When I had body work cowel was removed along with wiper arms.

1. remove wiper arms

2. remove six screws along windshield

3. open hood

4. remove four plastic screws along bottom edge

5. gently bend and wiggle to remove cowl

6. remove four screws and retainer plate to replace filter

7. reverse process and have a beer, Good job!!
