How do you reset the tire pressure light?
I was told by the Toyota dealer to reset the tire pressure light, do the following:
Push the RESET button located under the dash (near to your left knee) and hold button until it flashes and then stops. Release button and then press again until it flashes; when it stops flashing, release button. (Good luck finding the reset button -- I am still looking for where it is on my 4Runner!!!)
It depends greatly depending on make and model. First step is to set the pressures to the spec listed on the sticker on the drivers door jamb, not the pressure listed on the side of the tire.
ADDED: Make sure you also check the spare tire for proper inflation.
For Toyota owners - the tire pressure re-set button is usually located on the very bottom edge of the dashboard to the left of the steering column. It is a very small black push button.

Where is the PCV valve located on a 1996 Ford Taurus GL?
if this is the 3.0 (12 valve) engine, then it is located on top of the rear valve cover on a vacuum hose. The following information applies to the 'regular', 12 valve "Vulcan" engines pcv valve.
For the 24 valve, DOHC engines, see "Related Questions" below ----
PCV Valve is in the end of 1/2" or so size hose inserted into a rubber grommet in the top of one of the valve covers.
INSTALL: Simply pull on the hose to release the valve from the valve cover - pull the valve out of the hose. Insert new valve and push back into valve cover.
NOTES:
* The valve is in the end of 1/2" or so size hose inserted into a rubber grommet in the top of the valve cover
* If the valve checkball rattles, it's working
* Recommended replace interval - 40,000 miles
* Can clean with a bit of carburetor cleaner spray
* The 'other' large tube going into the opposite valve cover is a breather tube On my 2000 3.0L Vulcan OHV, the PCV is located on the top of the engine in one of the valve covers, simply pull the old valve out and push the new one in. Cost of part: $2-$4.
If by "standard" you mean the Vulcan engine, the PCV valve is on the valve cover closest to the firewall, passenger side.

Like many big jobs, if you have to ask, you should probably take it to a pro. Basically though, you take off all the connecting wires and hoses, power steering rack lower joint and tierods, axles etc. lower the car onto 3 or 4 jackstands aligned with the subframe. unbolt the subframe and remove the engine/transaxle/subframe/power steering rack as a unit. then an engine crane is required to take the engine off the transaxle
