Open the passenger door. There is a plastic side panel with a small vent in it at the end of the dash board. It may require a firm yank to get the panel off

I did wiring on it for audio and got up into the wiring for my cigarette lighters... I've noticed that whenever I push in the cigarette lighter it shorts out. I've also noticed how faulty the wiring is... replace ur CTSY LP fuse... and get about 5-10 more fuses for it... ($5-$10 depends where u get them from) play around with the cigarette lighter plug and stick different things in watching your dome light (have your door open) watch to see if it goes out.. if it goes out, its the wiring in the cig lighter.... u can either re-wire it yourself completely. or search every little possible connection point from the dc port to the battery and see where it could possibly short from wetness/resistance loss/lost ground/etc.
