How do you install a new passenger side window in a 1992 Ford Probe?

You have to remove the paneling to decipher whether or not the window came off the track, and needs to be reglued, or whether or not you need a new track in general. Unfortunately, it's not an easy process if the track needs to be replaced. It is not uncommon to have to pay $200-400 dollars for a replacement job, depending on your vehicle. If it is unglued you can easily do it yourself (with the right tools), otherwise your best bet is to take it to a local auto glass shop.

If anyone finds a wiring diagram for the manual window track can you let me know?

How do you change the spark plugs on a 92 achieva s that has quad cam there seems to be a fuel rod in the way?

It sounds like you are looking at the fuel injectors rather than the spark plugs. The spark plugs are located under the large cover on top of the engine that identifies it as a quad 4 engine.
There should be 4 fasteners located towards the center of the cover if memory serves.
Do not try to remove the other around the outer edge of the cover.
Make sure you remove the electrical connector and the previously mentioned fasteners, and pull straight up on the cover.
There will be resistance to this because you are pulling the spark plug boots off as you lift.
Since the spark plugs are recessed there may be debris around the spark plug holes that will fall into the cylinder and could damage your engine.
Make sure that you remove this debris before removing the plugs.
Blowing it off will air or even vacuuming could work but but remember that this is very important

What year did VW begin to replace the air-cooled engine with water?

They started making watercooled VWs in 1970, but the first watercooled VW sold in the US was the Rabbit, which was introduced to the US in 1974. In 1983, the Vanagon was changed to a watercooled engine called the "Wasserboxer." ("Wasser" is German for Water, naturlich.)

Now, as to this Wasserboxer engine: I have NO idea why they came up with this. The engine has picked up the unfortunate nickname "Wasserleaker" because...well, they all do. The Diesel Vanagon used the Rabbit engine, so I don't know why VW didn't use the gas Rabbit engine in a gas Vanagon. (However, YOU don't have to be so encumbered: quite a few guys have changed Diesel Vanagons to Rabbit gas engines. It is a fairly easy change if you are a good mechanic, but you need to change the transmission to a Gas Vanagon one because the diesel transmission is geared very low.)

How do you change a headlight on 2004 vw new beatle?

Look on the side of the light fixture under the hood of your car. There is a knob sticking out of the side of the fixture. Take a long screw driver and push the knob over about 1.5 inches. This will release the light fixture. Pull the fixture out from the front of the car and you can access the blubs. Don't forget to NOT touch the new light bulb - body oils will greatly shorten the life expetency of a halogen light bulb. anybody know how to change the cabin air filter in the same car? HELP!!!

How do you choose a four wheel drive car?

You go to a car dealership, and ask for a 4-wheel drive car and / or truck.

Most cars are actually AWD, and Trucks or Suvs are most often 4wd. Assuming you are speaking specifically of a car, the ability to make decision should be based on the weather conditions requiring the AWD vs. towing or hauling in a truck or suv. Is off-roading or deep snow going to make clearance height a factor? Overall length and interior room may have a bearing on the balance and handling of the vehicle in good and bad weather, so try to drive many different vehicles and where snow may not be possible, try driving on loose dirt to see how the car handles the ability to grab the road and move you forward. AWD can also impact performance on clear roads, if that is a consideration. Read the auto forums regarding AWD vs. 4wd to decide which vehicles best suit your needs and budget, before venturing ot the dealership. There are too many to drive all of them, and not every dealership stocks awd, so call or go online to check inventories before wasting your time and gas. An appointment with a fleet or internet manager will likely enhance your showroom visit and test drive experience.

How do you replace the right rear brake light of a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle?

IF YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR TAIL LIGHT BULB, FIRST OPEN YOUR TRUNK ANDREMOVE A ROUND COVER FROM THE INSIDE OF YOUR TRUNK, THERE WILL BE A BLACK KNOB THAT NEEDS TO BE UNSCREWEWED TOTALLY OUT TO RELEASE THE BACK LIGHT CASING. NEXT, ALONG THE REAR FENDERS WHERE THE LIGHTS ARE, THERE ARE TWO GAPS, THE ONE YOU NEED IS THE GAP CLOSEST TO THE HATCH BACK DOOR. INSERT A BUTTER KNIFE OR A THIN OBJECT UNDER THE BLACK RUBBER. THE POINT OF INSERTION SHOULD BE WHERE THE TOP GAP MEETS THE LENSE. THERE IS A RELEASE TAB/CLIP ON THE LIGHT. ONCE YOU PUSH THE TAB(DON'T BE AFRAID TO PUSH HARD, IT TAKES A LITTLE FORCE TO PULL OUT BUT SOME TIMES THE LIGHT JUST POPS OUT). AFTER YOU PULL OUT CASING,YOU'LL FIND TWO LIGHT SWITHCES(ONE IS FOR THE TURN SIGNALS AND OTHER IS YOUR BREAK LIGHTS). TURN THE LIGHT SWITCH COUNTER CLOCKWISE(ASSUMING IT'S HANGING UPSIDE DOWN)AND REMOVE. SWITCH OUT LIGHT BULB WITH NEW ONE(AUTOZONE HAS THEM FOR ABOUT $4.00 - PACKAGE OF 2)REPLACE EVERY THING BACK AS YOU UNINSTALLED IT. ITS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE ALL BULBS, THAT WAY IT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN LATER WHEN THEY GO OUT. IT'LL SAVE YOU LOTS OF TIME AND MONEY. HOPE THIS WILL HELP ANYONE SO PRINT AND SAVE IN YOUR MANUAL FOR LATER USE. ONCE YOU DO THIS AND REMOVE THE LENS YOU WANT TO SLAP YOURSELF ON HOW EASY IT IS TO DO IT. THE @#%& DEALER WANT YOU TO LEAVE THE CAR FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS ANF CHARGE $50 FOR A JOB THAT TAKES2-3 MINUTES. THIS INFORMATION WAS COPIED AND EDITED FROM ANOTHER vw OWNER. I HAVE USED IT AND IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

How do you replace the horn on your Volkswagen beetle?

The OTHER place Volkswagen liked to put horns on Classic Beetles is right in front of the front left wheel. It's close to the bumper bracket. You know how on really old Bugs, there are little oval grilles in the front fenders? The horn's right behind where those are, or would be. If it's there, or even if it's in the trunk, be sure the horn and not the electrical system feeding it is bad before you change the horn...because the wiring fails more than the horn does. Just get a known source of 12v--jumper cables to your battery work--and hook it directly to your horn. If it blows, rewire. The horn is easily replaced. It is located on the front right of your car, in the trunk. It looks kind of like a shell, and there are two wires connected to it. Unplug the wires, unscrew the nuts holding it on, and it should come right off.

How do you tell a 1976 beetle from a super beetle?

There are two versions of the Super Beetle, one made in 1971 and 1972, the other in 1973, 1974 and 1975.

All of them have a louvered front apron (the piece of sheetmetal below the trunk lid, behind the front bumper) and the spare tire lays flat in the trunk. All Standard Beetles had the front tire standing up in front of the gas tank.

The 1973-75 Supers also have a curved windshield.
