What company makes the Premium Sound System in a 2004 VW Touareg?
The Premium Sound System in the Volkswagen Touareg is made by Dynaudio of Denmark.
This could be a few things. First, horn grilles. REALLY ancient Bugs had two little chrome grilles, one in each front fender, for the horn to honk through. There was one horn but two grilles--this way they could put the same front fenders on right-hand drive and left-hand drive Bugs. Second, Super Beetle grilles. The front apron on a Super Beetle has slots in it like a grille. I have absolutely no idea why, but this helps to identify a car as a Super vice a regular Bug without opening the trunk. Third are Continental kit grilles. When VW Bugs were available new you could buy a kit that had a fiberglass hood and trunk lid, and also a grille. These were supposed to make your car look like a Lincoln Continental or a Rolls-Royce, but they really just made your car look like a Bug with a different hood and trunk lid. If you could find one of these kits, or a car that had one installed, you could have a lot of fun with it. 1971 and later Beetles and Supers had a little vent grille behind the back-seat side windows on both sides of the car. They are there so you could close the door--new Volkswagens were sealed very well. And...of course, we can't neglect the Rollswagen Chong had in Up in Smoke--he took the grille off his dad's Rolls-Royce and pop-riveted it to the front bumper of his Convertible.
How do you replace the ignition lock on a 1996 Dodge Neon?
This is a simple job. Insert your key into the column, with a small rod ( i used a Phillips screwdriver) insert it into the hole just below the ignition unit its self. Push up on the rod and turn your key ahead until you feel the pin move up a little, once you have that done keep the pressure on the pin and turn the ingition back and forth with a little pussing pressure out it should pop out. if done right this should only take 15-20 secs to do

How do you replace the carbon filter on a 2001 VW Beetle?
The air filter for the engine is located just rear of the battery under the hood (on the right side of the engine compartment). Loosen the two phillps screws on the rear of the plastic filter box cover and pull up on the back. Bias the cover to the rear to disengage the front retainers. Remove the old filter and install the new one. Re-engage the front retainers and close the cover. Be careful not to over-tighten the two phillip screws in the rear of the cover. Tip: On a 2003 Turbo S, to ease moving the cover, follow the above instructions and remove the 1 inch hose from the top filter housing by squeezing the outer ring, this allows movement to the left and easier access to the filter box, vacuum any debris from the box and insure new filter is seated completely in the channel before installing the cover and hose.

Why would my speedometer for a Volvo 1990 740 GLE wagon not work?
Check the wires on the back of the rear axle. There is a sensor there for the speedometer. If the wires break, it will not read any speed or distance. I have had to repair mine twice. The sensor is on the drivers side of the differential to the rear. Hope that is it.
Figure out the anti swaybar travel when you repair the connection to the sensor
Carbon Monoxide is the most common gas emitted from a car.
Where is the Location of thermostat on 97 Acura TL?
follow the top radiator hose to the engine, where it connects is the thermostat housing, inside there is the thermostat.
If you replace the thermostat, be very careful to install it with the air bleed hole in the proper position, and be sure to get as much air as you can out of the water jacket before you seal the system back up. Bleed the system well when you check for leaks.
How can you remove corroded batteries that are stuck in your flashlight?
Best if you throw the flashlight away and buy a new one. As cheap as they are, it would not be worth trying to fix the old one.

What should tire pressure be for 1961 VW Beetle?
the VW beetle with radial tires should have 17 lbs PSI in the front and 24 PSI in the rear.
That may have been the recommended pressure for bias tires. Radials tend to require at least 26 psi.
What is the oil capacity and specification for a 1969 VW beetle?
2500 ml - this is extremely important, not one ml more - and you can use 10W30 in it all year, or HD 30 in it in the summer. I always liked 30-weight diesel engine oil because it was made for hot-running engines, which VW Beetle engines are.

How do you change a cracked oil pan on a 1999 VW Beetle?
Call a rollback and have it delivered to your local VW stealership along with your CC info! There are two bolts that are litterally under the transmission that cannot be moved by anything in your toolbox. I had a Snap-on tools truck for half an hour and we came up with nothing to get on the head of these two bolts. As far as I can gather the engine/transmission has to be separated to accomplish taking these two bolts out. Other than that it looks easy! I'll be calling the rollback tomorrow and setting the mason jar of removable bolts on the passenger side seat for the stealership to reinstall on the new pan after secretly removing these two 10mm headed stubborn bolts. Good luck!!!!
Hi,
I just replaced the oil pan on my 98 Beetle, and the procedure is the same for the 99. You need a 10 mm socket to remove the 18 bolts around the pan, and then you need a special tool sold by snap-on that to mee looks like an Alan wrench built onto the bottom half of a socket. You need a size 5. What would also work would be an Alan wrench with the little ball on the end and something to hold onto to give you leverage. Apparently the little hex-type hole in the middle of the 10mm bolts is for just this purpose.
Hello, I just helped a friend remove the oil pan on his daughters 99 beetle. We finally found a tool to get to the two hard to get to bolts. What you need is a 5mm ball end Allen wrench. They sell them about anywhere tools are sold. We got ours at a harbour freight store for $7.99 for a whole set. I noticed sears has then too. It took about 2 minutes to get the bolts out. He had a crack welded up in the pan for $35.00. Bought a new gasket for $16.00 and was back on the road the same day.
