What does the red i in tdi on a vw transporter mean?

TDI means Turbocharged Direct Injection. The important part is the "DI"--Direct Injection. There is an Indirect Injection. With it, the fuel is injected into a low-pressure prechamber where it starts burning before it enters the combustion chamber. In Direct Injection, the car shoves fuel into the combustion chamber itself at well over 10,000 psi. This gives much better efficiency.

How do you remove alternator?

Most alternators have the following connections: - drive belt from the engine - pivot bolt on the bottom - tensioning bolt(s) on the top - electrical connections Disconnect the battery Remove the drive belt from the pulley on the front of the alternator Loosen the top bolts but do not remove Disconnect the electrical connections to the alternator Disconnect the pivot bolt and slide it out Remove the top bolts and work the alternator loose from the bushings on the bottom Remove alternator from the car The replacement alternator will usually not have a pulley on it, so remove it from the old and install it on the new (impact wrench) The new alternator may not be clocked the same as the old. Take it back to the store and have them clock it to match the old one The only difficulty going back in is the bushings on the bottom may not be far enough apart to permit insertion of the new alternator bottom bracket. I used a C-clamp and a short section of pipe (about 1") to retract the bushing far enough to get it to go in. A socket wrench socket could also be used to press out the bushing just far enough to get the bracket to slide in. This all takes about 1-2 hours if you have the right tools and longer if not.

Where is the oil filter located on vw transporter 06 2.5 tdi?

The oil filter is located on the left front corner of the engine directly below the power steering resovoir (green cap),It is a cartridge type, you need a 36mm socket and 1/2 inch universal drive with a long extention on your ratchet to access it easily. You need to move the power steer resovoir (one 10mm bolt) and a rubber hose (one horseshoe clip) from the turbo charger out of the way so you can get the socket onto the cap of the filter,(black plastic). This is not difficult just fiddly. I did this procedure myself yesterday. Hope this helps A.D

The term that refers to stripping header information as a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) is passed from one layer to a higher layer is "decapsulation." During this process, the headers added by the lower layers are removed, allowing the data to be passed up to the appropriate layer for processing.
