You can always become a certified dog trainer and work your way from there. Some theme parks such as sea world have shows that use exotics besides marine animals and you can get your foot in the door that way. Also try volunteering for any local exotic rescues- that was probably what got me the job was my experience around lions, bears, etc. It is an amazing job to get into, if you really work hard you could make it into a career. I'm only 22 and am in love with my job! Not many people can say that.
