How do you change a headlight on a 2004 Chevrolet Epica?
To change the Low Beam headlight bulb on a 2004 Chevrolet Epica you need to:
1) Remove the 3 bolts (Metric size 10) holding the headlight assembly in place. There are 2 at the top and one on side beside the grill.
2) Gently start to slide the whole assembly out, while lifting slightly to get over the bumper.
3) Unplug the signal light to allow you to get additional length. (There is a little pressure connection you push in to allow you to unplug the signal light).
4)Without the signal light wire attached you can swing the whole unit out towards the grill and rest on the bumper.
5) Slide the two retainer clips holding the back cover of the headlights to their respective sides.
6) Removing the cover will expose the high/low beam light bulb. It is held in place by a wire and secured by two Phillips screws. Loosen the screw closer to the grill. Be-careful as it is under a bit of pressure.
7) Once loose enough you can pry the wire out and the bulb is freed.
8) Put in new bulb, be careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb.
9) Secure the wire again, and tighten the Phillips screw.
10) Replace the cover and slide the two clips into place
11) Check the high beam connection to ensure it has not disconnected or come loose.
12 Slide the assembly back towards proper place so you can hook up the signal light.
13) Slide into place, there are two plastic pegs that need to slide into their respective holes as you slide the assembly back into place.
14) Put in the three bolts and tighten.
15) Test the lights to ensure everything is working.
Presto, you've likely spent approximately 10-15 minutes and saved yourself $30-$50 and a ton of time at the garage or dealership.

With the drive wheels off of the ground. Automatic transmissions depend on a pump to keep the internal transmission parts lubricated. If you tow ANY vehicle with an automatic transmission with the wheels on the ground (even in neutral) you will most likely burn the transmission up. The ONLY way around this is to let the car idle in neutral while being towed, or if it is RWD, disconnect the driveshaft. If the car has a manual transmission, you can simply tow it in neutral even with the wheels on the ground.
