How do you pop the hood on your 92 century when the cable is broken?
Your actually lucky on your car, the other cars in the Century family (Pontiac 6000, olds cutlass ciera, and Pontiac 6000) are quite a bit more involved to open there hoods.
The Buick century is the easiest car to open the hood on when the cable is broken. You will need a T15 or a T20 Torxdriver. You use this to take your grill off. Should be 4-8 screws holding it on. Once its off and out of the way, you can see the hood latch mechanism. You will be able to figure out how to get it to open from there.
How do you take the tail light cover off to replace bulbs in an E350?
If you own that kind of car, you should be able to A) pay the garage to fix it for you or B) pay the ticket for a bad light.
Those of us who walk and take the bus laugh at your difficulty.
I'm making an assumption on the year probably a 90 something. I usually means that the security was on and the vehicle alarm was tripped. This is to let you know the alarm was set off and reset itself while unattended.
1999 voyager cooling fans dont work i changed the relay the fans work if i jump them off?
Do they work when you turn the A/C or Defroster on? If so it could be temperature sensor If not it could be fuse
What could cause a clicking noise while driving but stops when braking on a 1994 Buick Century?
if turning and your car clicks, check cv axles. if going straight, check brake pads for looseness in caliper bracket, check rotors for thickness and runout(warpage), check brake hardware, and especially caliper bolts and bracket bolts.
How do you change a starter on a 1993 buick century v6 3300?
well first you make sure your car is off. then u take the wires of and undo the bolts then replace it with a new one and the work backwards.
If you travel a total of 560 miles at an average of 60 miles per hour how far do you go in 2 hours?
120 miles.
First check for fire at any of the sparkplugs and if you have spark then check your fuel pressure and if its not within specs then replace the pump.
What should you do if you are not getting any fire to the spark plugs in your 1993 Buick Century?
Really, there are many possible causes for this. When asking a question of this sort it is helpful to specify the engine size. Only generic answers can be provided when we don't know what car you have. Also, how do you know you aren't 'getting fire to' the spark plugs?
One thing I would suggest is disconnecting the plug wires at the coil end. If you crank the engine sparks should come out of the coils while cranking the engine. Do not touch the sparks as they feel somewhat unpleasant and can trigger heart attack.
If there is no spark at the coils, then proceed to check for blown fuses in every fuse panel.
Now see if you have one or more bad coils. If you disconnect the coil and put a test light between the two _primary_ electrical connections of the coil. While cranking the engine, the light should flash. If it does and the coil produces no spark, replace the coil.
The next thing to check would be the crank sensor. If you have a good crank sensor signal and no blown fuses, suspect a faulty ignition control module. The easiest way for a DIYer to check the module is to just replace the thing.
If the crank sensor and module are good and no fuses are blown, your next suspects are:
1) Car alarm.
2) Wiring fault.
3) Dead ECM/PCM.
== == I think your problem may be one similar to the one I had with my 1994 Ford Taurus. One of the wires between the ignition and the spark plugs may be damaged/loose/frayed/disconnected. It took my mechanics almost 4 full days to track and repair the problem. Additional Answer I am having the same problem. Here is the order I've done things...
First tested the fuel pressure, and then the firing at the spark plugs, and this showed me it was a fire issue and not a fuel issue. I then took my ICM, and coils to the local shop and they tested it on a computer and said there was nothing wrong with it. I proceeded to change the crank sensor because this was a part I couldn't test, and it was cheap. Once it was gapped properly the car started to run for a few minutes. I reattached the belt and soon afterward the engine quit again. No fire. I am going to the store tomorrow to drop the $96 for an Ignition Control Module, and I'm praying hard that it fixes the problem is possibly a sporadic 0% then 100% then 0% firing is because the ICM is feigning death. Please Jesus let this work... :)
How do you replace the ignition wires on a 1992 buick century?
Do them one at a time, matching length to new one. Try also to match routing of the wire on the engine. On a V6, the back three may require transfer of cylindrical metal shields on plug end from old wires. These back ones can be hard to remove, since they can be stuck on and not much space between the head and the firewall for leverage. Twist them on the spark plug to loosen first. Put a small dab of dielectric grease in each boot to aid removal the next time, which also protects against moisture.
Why might the dash and tail lights not work on a 1989 Buick Century?
Yea dude you should be able to fit them on no problem because i have a 1999 century with 20's on it. If you go onto a website (like discounttire.com) you can type in your vechile type and they will show you what type of wheels can fit your car so you can be 100% sure.
Interior light stays on and radio stays on after exiting car?
owners manual fuse box interior lamps pull it then figure it out no sense in a dead battery
1991 Buick Century 3.3L high RPM cutout now wont start replaced TPS fuel filter car does have spark?
I have the same problem on my 90 buick 3.3l, no start replaced fuel filter, turns over has spark, 40 psi fuel pump pressure and good volume, no trouble codes, no way to check injector pulse, going to throw a new ecm at it if it works I will try to let you know. I have read that if it has spark it can't be the crank sensor hope the blogs are right. my e-mail is stankline66@hotmail.com
This sounds like your wheel hubs need replaced. These are where the sensors for ABS and Traction control are located. I'm very surprised a dealer would not be able to find this. It is possible another sensor is bad, but this is the same problem I had with my 2001 Alero.
If you have service engine light on, trac. off light and the ABS light on the same time, you may be able to get it fixed my reprogramming the power control module (with updated software calibration). Mine was fixed for free at a dealer under a recall campaign when GM called me yesterday.
I have the same exact problem in my 1999 Buick Regal LS. I know both of theses cars are almost exactly the same thing. I have a Monsoon sound system. I'm not sure if your car has the Concert sound system in it. I have looked all over my car and it seem that you have to remove the seats. So far I have noticed that the seats somehow slide into a bracket on the frame, but there also seems to be a bolt holding them in place. If I look inside my trunk, I can see my speakers and there seems to be a clip on the enclosure they are mounted to. None of that seems to help though unless you are able to get the rear dash off. If anyone else has a solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
The above directions were SOOOOOOOO helpful. Very accurate and help to make what could have been an all day project into an acceptable 1 hour project. Thank you.
Answer: I assume you mean the radio clock light stays on after you turn the key to the off position. Based on my research there are there are three things that can cause this.
First, there is the possibility of a bad diode in the radio itself which will require the replacing or disconnecting the radio.
Second, there is a short somewhere causing the clock to stay on. Finding such short can be a hassle and it might be easier simply to disconnect the clock then trying to find the short.
Finally, there is the (rare) possibility that the Body Control Module (BCM) has gone bad but this is unlikely if this is the only issue you are having.
To get the answer, you would divide how many miles he drove by how long it took him to drive it. The information you need to set up your problem is 150 miles and 2.5 hours.
150 / 2.5 = 60
So Jordan drove an average of 60 miles per hour.
