I had the same problem with my 2006 BRV, the light came on whenever I went on the highway and accelerated. I went to the dealer and they said it was a software issue, they reprogrammed something and I haven't seen the red light since.
If the battery light comes on occasionally during acceleration or uphill driving, go to any GM dealership and ask them to look up a TSB on a Rendezvous battery light on issue. It takes one hour labor to reprogram the computer. If the light is on all the time, it's the alternator.
Its prolly a Charging system issue. Does the battery ever go dead? my best advice is if you have an autozone around they can test the charging system while its in the car. just hopes its not the alternator that requires tilting the engine forward and isn't an easy task.

You will need a 20 Amp Mini fuse. It is found in the PDC(the fuse box under the hood close to the battery). The Chrysler part number is 00ATM20, but you can go to any parts store and ask for a 20 Amp Mini fuse and they would be able to get you the right one.

You can't fix the BCM you have to replace it, then it needs to be programed and the anti-theft needs to be reprogramed also. Most places won't be able to do this, you'll have to take it to a dealer.

If you have your stomach touching the front of the car. the blower is located on the lefthand side closest to the cab. Its behind a rubber insulator and an absolute pain to replace. I have a 1997 Bravada and it took more time to remove the computer and cut the rubber out than it took to replace the blower. I would not recommend this as a do it yourself. I would still be under the hood trying to figure it out. The blower is cheap. $40 or so. the labor to get it replaced is another story.

Use a socket and ratchet on the belt tensioner pulley bolt. Pull the ratchet to the side to let tension from the belt. Remove the belt. Install the new belt ( a helper will make the job easier.) Release the ratchet to set the belt tension.

after i read this i had to say something.
I've changed thermostat on a 2002 Buick rendezvous before, it wasn't hard and you don't have to remove the exhaust crossover pipe.
I could not reach the back two bolts on the cross over manifold, so I took off the last piece of the air intake where the throttle position sensor is located. At that point I could get a wrench down there a slowly loosen the lower bolt enough to slide out the thermostat housing, and eventually the thermostat. It took me a couple of hours to complete a task that on any other car would take 30 minutes or so.
The 2002 model had/has a lot of problems reported that Buick did nothing about. I have a 2002 CX model with 66,000 miles and have been lucky. I have problems, some as reported, but no major breakdowns. My in-laws have a 2006 and just love it and have no problems.

o1 Chevy Malibu 3.1 belt changeplace a block of wood under the oil pan,use a floor jack and slightly raise the motor up (very little)remove the 4 bolts that hold the motor mount on its on the passenger side 2 bolts are to the car body the others are next to them it may take a deep well socket and extension (good one) you might have to use a cheater bar to break the nuts. use a 3/8 breaker bar to relieve the tensioner i believe you push it counter clock wise remove belt !!!!!!!!!!!! BE SURE YOU HAVE A DIAGRAM TO PUT THE BELT BACK IN PROPER PLACE AROUND ALL PULLEYS!!!!!!!!!!reverse to reinstall

How do you replace brake booster on a 04 buick rendezvous?
I just gave it a shot on an '02 (2002-07 use same repair manual from what I've read) and ended up putting it back on and now I'm taking it to a mechanic. To start you need to remove the master cylinder and disconnect the hose from the booster. You also need to open the lower dash under the steering wheel and disconnect the brake pedal and remove 4 nuts from the brake booster...one of which is behind the steering column and not exactly easy. The tricky part is actually getting the brake booster out which appears to require taking out a fair amount of the upper motor. I tried disconnecting the brake lines from the distribution box and pulling it out to open up some space but it wasn't sufficient.
If you don't have a good deal of experience I suggest taking it to a mechanic. It's probably going to be a 5-6hr job so $400-$480 in labor depending on the mechanic. I bought the part for $140 so if they try charging you $392 like one shop tried charging me, you might want to go elsewhere. Sorry I can't give you anymore specific instruction, but I hope this helps.

How do you remove instrument cluster buick rendezvous?
First if you have heads up display remove this with small flat screwdriver all pannels for dash removal are all just clipped in place.
under the dash above the brake pedal are two Phillips screws remove those then that pannel just pull it towards you ffirmly it will just pop out, use only minimal force.
for the main part of the dash surrounding the instrument cluster, starting from left to right using medium sized flat screwdriver gently pry dash apart you will hear the clips come undone, you will have to lower the steering wheel and put car in low gear to remove the one piece dash pannel.
Once this is removed you will see four screws holding the instrument cluster in place, remove those screws pull out un unclip the wiring harness and your done. hope this helps all in all its a 15 minute job max to remove. would have been better with pics but im,e not that good with computers.
