Will an engine out of a 1993 Buick Skylark 3.3 engine fit into a 1994 Buick Skylark 3.8 engine without any problems?

It will physically bolt in--HOWEVER--the 3.8 uses a separate cam position sensor while the 3.3 incorporates it into a single sensor unit with the crank position sensor, so the wiring harness is different. Also--the computer calibration is different owing to the difference in displacement. Unless a donor car is available with the correct wiring and ECM/ECU and one has the knowledge to do this--it is NOT recommended.

How do you replace a dimmer switch on a 97 Buick Skylark?

You will need to replace the turn signal/ dimmer switch as an assembly.Thru a dealer the parts are over $300.00. I buy salvage yard units for $75.00. You will need to disable the air bag, drop the column, pull the wheel. I suggest you obtain a HAYNES repair manual or a similar repair manual to properly disable the air bag. I hope this helps you. How many motor mounts are there on a 96 Buick Skylark?

Three. One on top by the pass fender in front of the power steering pump. One is behind the pass tire and shaped like a dog bone kinda, it's called the trque mount. And the last one is the transmission mount.

How do you replace the serpentine belt located on a 1993 Buick Skylark?

Not sure on that year or model but on my 96 Century there's a spring-loaded tensioner that has to be released--I mean seriously released--before you can get the belt off. Before you take it off, see if there's a diagram under the grease somewhere that shows you which side of it goes around what. If there's no diagram draw your own. The tensioner is supposed to need a special tool to release it. I just use a Stillson (pipe) wrench on it. Grab it at a secure spot and push back against the spring until you can pull the belt off. Let it go while you position the new belt around as many pulleys as you can (make sure it's all the way on grooved pulleys, not one groove off), then push back against the spring again and slip the belt over the remaining pulley (usually the alternator). ***Update*** I have a 1993 Buick Skylark with a 3.3L engine, and all accessories. The motor mount is actually going through the serpentine belt. You need to raise the vehicle, support it on jackstands, get a floor jack, place a block of wood on it and place it under the transmission pan (all the way across the pan to prevent denting). Raise the jack until you see the engine/transmission lift slightly (Do NOT lift the entire vehicle by the transmission pan!). Now you need to remove the motor mount bracket from the engine and unbolt it from the isolator mounted on the wheel well. Now that that's out of the way, take a 18mm wrench (not enough room for a socket) and place it on the bolt in the middle of the tensioner. Watch your fingers against the strut tower, and push the wrench toward the firewall to release the belt tension There really isn't much room, and the wrench will probably rub the strut tower. Pull the old belt off. Installation is the reverse order.

How do you replace the alternator on a 1995 Chevy Lumina?

I recently replaced the alternator on my 96' Lumina. 1. Remove the serpentine belt off the engine by locating the belt tensioner and removing the tension req'd to remove the belt. (there is usually a diagram in the engine compt. showing the tensioner location and belt path) 2. Remove required bolts (2) I believe... & elec. harness plug from alternator. 3. Replace alternator & reverse process.

How do you remove and replace the right front window motor and control arm on a 1997 Buick Skylark?

very carfully

You have to remove the door panel. Have tape or suction cups made to hold windows in place, and keep the window in the up position. If your window motor died while the window was down, like mine did, it can be pushed back up manualy, after you remove the window from the control arm. After removing the door panel, you have to remove the window from the crontrol arm. Having small hands, and a helper is a must for this job. You have to drill out the original bolts, or use a chisle, that hold the control arm in the door. The whole unit should come out the bottom hole on the door. (this is where you need your helper to pull the window back up) You again have to drill out the original rivits holding the motor on the control arm. The replacement motor should have new bolts and nuts to replace them with.(I got replacement motors from NAPA, and they were cheap) The first time you do this it is VERY time consuming. But if all your window motors went out at the same time, like mine did, you get really good at it on the second and third one :)

Where is the low pressure connection for the air conditioning system of a 1997 Buick Skylark?

Most reliable means of location on any vehicle is to familiarize yourself with the layout of all components. Specifically, the low pressure (suction) service port on any a/c system is typically located between the evaporator (inside your dash) and the compressor itself. It normally runs through the receiver/drier en route and the connection is most often a part of the drier. From the actual belt-driven compressor there are two hoses, 1 runs to the condensor in front of the radiator, the other runs toward the aforementioned devices. ______________________________________________________________________

Where is the crank sensor on a 1988 28 l buick regal?

I had a '87 3.8... the 3.8 V6 is much the same for many years, I think this is what you mean?

Anyway, the sensor is on the accessory end of the engine, located just above the large crankshaft pulley at the bottom of the motor. It is not easy to see.

The sensor is held in with one bolt and has two wires coming out of it.

If I recall, the fastening is adjustable for gap between the sensor and crank reluctor.

Remove ignition switch buic skylark?

It depends on the year. I know the Chilton's books have a description of it. You can also call a GM dealer's service department.
