It is just above the oil filter. It is held in by a 10mm bolt. I removed the oil filter to change mine, be care full not to break it off trying to get it out.

To remove the back seat of a Skylark, reach into the area between the back and the seat and pull up on the seat. The back part of the seat is bolted in and will require a socket wrench to remove.

It is located on the passenger side firewall. It is the center of the three relays behind the strut tower.

In the front, you have to reach the lights from under the hood, pull out the assembly it's in and change the bulb. In the back, you can remove the panels from inside the trunk and do the same thing. The back is much easier than the front.

That car uses a single type 9004 bulb on each side of the car. The 9004 contains two filaments, one for low beam and one for high beam. If the high beams work but the low beams do not, then either the low beam filaments in both bulbs have burned out or there is a fault in the low beam feed circuit.

A wiring diagram will make sure that everything is connected correctly. The wiring diagram for a 1992 Buick Skylark can be found in either of its manuals.

The dash lights will dim when the head lights come on. Check for a dimmer switch on your dash. It allows you to adjust the dash lights so they are not too bright and affect your nighttime vision. It may be set too low.

After changing everything concerned except the fuel pump they gave up and turned it over to Buick Motor Co. Buick simple told them to run another fuel pump test after disconnecting the alternator charging wire from the battery. They found that the fuel pump would not operate properly with only the 12 volt battery suppling the voltage. The problem of hesitating was caused because as the engine first loaded up the alternator had not started charging fully. After it gained speed the alaternator supplied it's higher voltage, 13+ volts and the fuel pump operated propely. You simply need to have a mechanic perform a fuel pump test on your vehicle but be sure he disconnects the alternator charging wire first. 5 w 30 is what the manufacturer recommends but using 10 w 30 won't hurt. The lower the first number, the better is will run in cold weather.

For the 3.1 V-6, it's right in front of the transmission fluid pan. There's just the one 15mm bolt there; you won't miss it.

Hazard Flasher is located, Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, above fuse panel, mounted on convenience center. Turn Signal Flasher is located, Front seating area, driver side, under dash, above fuse block, mounted on kick panel.

It is located on the passager side, there is a metal pipe that runs under the engine on that side and them turns and goes straight up, the thermostat is located on top of the pipe under the exaust manifold. You can see part of it from the top of the engine if you look straight down. I need to change mine but have not figured a good way to get to it yet. Looking thru from the tire well you can get a better look at it.

I think it's held on just by those plastic things you ram in there to hold it on. Try finding a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual on Amazon. They should have an answer.

The Quad 4 is a special engine and to do it correctly and not good it up, get s manual on your car fron the parts store for about $18 . It will help you on the next job.

I've got a '92 skylark, and had a problem with the brake lights staying on even after the car was off. There is an adjustment that is connected to the brake pedal that you can adjust the tension on. It's kind of a pain to get up under there unless you're skinny though.

Should be on the underside of the hood. The parts dept of your local GM dealership should be able to help you. They WILL print one up if you ask nicely!
