Where is the drain plug on a 1997 cadillac de ville radiator?
It is on the drivers side, bottom corner of the radiator. it is hard to find.
It is on the driver's side, facing the driver, at the bottom of the plastic tank on the driver's side of the radiator. It's not like the brass petcock valves used in the "old" days. It is plastic and has like a "T" handle cast flush into the top surface facing the driver. There is no way to directly get to it. I used a 22mm box end wrench and it fit perfectly right over the "T" handle! It takes about 5 complete turns to remove the valve. And yes, you must remove the air cleaner and the fan on the driver's side. Unhook the top tranny cooler hose too, to expedite removal of the fan.
Now you'll be able to get the box end wrench in there to loosen the valve. Be sure to capture the drained liquid and dispose of it properly. Not in the storm drain that drains into creeks and lakes!.....Good luck!
should be on left side on firewall only 4 bolt 1 plugin if you buy used check size @ if it works
order a new regulor with motor on the internet. it should not cost anymore than 65$ then take car to auto window shop they should charge no more than $80 to install it.
the regulator with motor will cost about $400 at a dealer and over a hundred.
I have had to replace the regulator on all 4 doors in the last 2 yrs.

The above answer is NT correct. There are aot of parts that aren't interchangeable there are books that will tell you this type of information. Windshields aren't interchangable doors, some trim, evrything in the interior except the dash and back deck. Many others, just find a cross reference book.

Literally, YES, they can fit, but IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! The limit for any sedan in size would be a 17" to ensure PROPER handling and SAFETY. I know... nobody wants to hear that when their ride can look like a million bucks but TRUST ME as I sit here with physical injuries cause of a bad decision to put 18's on a 15" based wheel...horrible accident... do the right thing! Also, the tire would constantly be blowing cause the profile tire would have to be as thin as paper to fit in that wheel well! 22's are for TRUCKS!! Get a Navigator!! The price of rims now a days would be a good down payment on one!!! Actually, 22 inch rims fit no scrub with normal sized tires. 24's you would have to get a lift kit to prevent scrubbing and this is to keep normal handeling also.
Could be airlocked in the heater core.what you need to do is loosen off the rad cap so it will stay with the car and drive to a hill. Point it upwards and let it idle to circulate the antifreeze. You should notice that the antifreeze level has gone down. Top it up and replace rad cap. had the very same problem, answer might surprise. make sure your battery cables on the plus side are in excellent shape. replaced mine overhaeting problem gone, radiator fan (electric) was not running at full speed. secondary check that both fans are kicking in as the temp goes up. i think there was a recall on those fans.

make sure everything is off (radio, etc). place your key in the ignition, half turned on, for 20 min or so and that will reset the security system. i had to do this with my 2000 deville and it worked. try it at your own risk. goodluck

How do you replace the front ABS sensors on a 1992 Sedan DeVille?
The ABS sensor is part of the hub wheel bearing assembly. The hub wheel bearing will have to be replaced. This involves removing the wheel, the hub axel nut and then three torx screws which attach the hub wheel bearing assembly to the steering knuckle. A puller tool will be neede to separate the hub bearing from the steering knuckle. If the hub bearing is heavily rusted to the steering knuckle you may need to heat the metal in order to loosen the rust connection.
How do you replace a starter on a 2000 Cadillac STS Seville?
Disconnect the battery. Remove all the bolts around the top plate that sits on top of the engine (there's 10-12 of them). Set that piece aside. Remove the four bolts holding the fuel injector assembly down (those bolts are about 7 inches long!). Get a 24 inch piece of 2x4 ready because you're going to slowly and gently lift the left side of the fuel injector assembly and then lay the 2x4 under the assembly but on top of the engine. Put a light down in the exposed area and there is the starter. Reach in very carefully with a 10 mm socket and remove both mounting bolts as well as the two bolts that hold the two wires onto the starter. Out it comes. It is a very small, lightweight starter and you'll have no trouble. Have it checked however, because more often than not, the problem with not starting is NOT the starter but rather the neutral/safety switch at the end of your shift cable on the top of the transmission!!! Posssibly the idle is too high. TAke the idle solonoid off of the throtle body and clean it.
