it deppends on the year to the process a 90- 97 all have a plastic covering which is easiest by sliding out the rear seat then undoing the bolts holding the backs to the seats and finally the head rest. then it will just pop off. there is velcrow underneath so it will take some effort. then go to the trunk and undo the wiring before removing them. the newer models have caps that you can just lift the matting and undo the nut.

The amps in my car went bad causing only one of my speakers to work. If you are having issues with the amp from my experience it is better to run new speakers, stereo, and wires (but be warned it is no easy task to remove the old door speakers!).
