Amperage is always measured with the guage in series with the hot wire. That is the one wire is cut and the guage goes in line as opposed to some devices which have a hot and neutral (or ground).
What instrument can be used to measure dynamic Valve Clearance?
A feeler gauge is typically used to measure dynamic valve clearance in internal combustion engines. The gauge is inserted between the valve stem and the rocker arm to determine the correct clearance while the engine is running.
How many watts are in one volt?
It is not possible to convert watts directly to volts because they are two different units measuring different aspects of electricity: watts measure power, while volts measure electrical potential difference. So, there is no definite conversion between the two.
What is the difference between a 2 channel and 4 channel amp?
dont know -------------------------------- EDIT: 2 Channel if really what its sounds like, 2 channels which means you have a Left + Right basically. 4 Channels is for 4 channels which like in a car would be Front Left + Right and Rear Left + Right. Reminder!!! Check RMS NOT max Power!!! -TheRamMan-
This is your coolant level sensor or the radiator warning light. It most likely means you're coolant level is low. Check the coolant exopansion tank located on the left side under the hood on the V70. You can add straight water. Don't add just any anti-freeze, light green Prestone; it can really damage the radiator. Volvos are funny that way, a qualified Volvo mechanic knows this. KJR
Where is the dimmer switch on a 2005 Toyota Sienna?
The trip odometer switch on the odometer itself is the dimmer on Toyota Sienna. If you turn this switch all the way to the left your panel would become dark. Simply turn the switch to the right and all panel lights would come on. I had a similar problem and the manual bailed me out.
Instructions to replace 1999 Toyota Camry courtesy light bulb in interior roof?
There is a small rectangular slot on the right side (passenger side) of the transparent cover/lens. Put a properly fitting (not too small, not too big) flat screwdriver in the slot and leverage the cover/lens downward. It should pop out. Don’t be too rough, but you can apply some force—the cover is fairly strong. After that it is easy to pull the light bulb from between the spring terminals. Put the new bulb in and pop the cover back in its slot.
just so you know, all trucks used to have a full 24 volt system and cars had a 6 volt system so the design is not a nightmare. still a lot of tractors about with a 6 volt system. now a good electrician can connect a 12 volt unit to a 24 volt system if he knows what he is doing it is just a matter of knowing where to do it on a battery. you can also buy a voltage converter and wire it in. and yes you can still buy 24 light bulbs Before you go deep inside this, check the voltage on the cigarette lighter. It should only be 12 volts. The 24 volts are used in starting the truck only. By thinking this through, designing a vehicle that worked on a 24-volt electrical system would be a disaster. No one would buy it. All the current electrical components for vehicles are for 12-volt systems. Lights, gauges, radios - everything! How much trouble would it be to replace something like, say, a map light if a 24-volt lamp had to be located? Alternativley Check the powercable as many of them can work on different voltage say from 10 to 30 volts and power the gps with the correct voltage.
The negative battery cable bolts to your engine block and body/chassis of the vehicle. Which means that any metal part of the car is essentially the negative terminal of the battery so whenever you need to ground or earth something on a vehicle you simply find a bolt, nut or screw attached to a metal part of the vehicle and attach the wire to it.
if the ground is from your old stereo either follow it and ground you new stereo there or wire them together uses heat connectors. better yet buy a wiring harness and don't worry about the whole mess.
How do you set the clock in a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD?
Everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available, for FREE, in the reference section(make copies of the correct sections) read up and fix it like a PRO! :) good luck-Dave
Why would an Oldsmobile Ciera 1993 turn signal blink more slowly than the other?
A slower blinking turn signal can be an indication that a bulb is starting to fail or has already burnt out. It could also be caused by a faulty flasher relay. Check the bulbs to see if any are not working, and if the bulbs are all functional, consider replacing the flasher relay.
Why would the clock change time whenever the ignition is turned off?
Defective clock or it is wired incorrectly. Should be wired to have power when ignition is turned off. it sounds to me that the constant live has been lost to the clock, there are three wires to a vehicle clock, an earth, an ignition live and a constant live
What can you do if your lights won't turn on and you've already replaced the light switch?
If the lights still won't turn on after replacing the light switch, check the circuit breaker to ensure it hasn't tripped. You can also inspect the wiring for any loose connections or faults. If these steps don't solve the issue, it may be best to consult a professional electrician to diagnose and fix the problem safely.
How do you fix directional signals when one side blinks really fast?
Often a fast-flashing turn indicator (inside the car) means either the front or rear turn signal bulb is burned out. Check the actual turn signals and see if they are working. If not, just replace the bulb.
Where is the C115 sensor located at on the wiring harness of a 1998 Honda civic?

What is occupant classification system?
The occupant classification system is used to classify an occupant type into an adult, a child, a child seat, or an object. The inputs are depth images from a time-of-flight based depth camera. The images are first segmented from the background and normalized for threedimensional translations. The segmented images areprojected into Eigen shapes that are constructed from a training set. The projections are used as feature vectors for a support vector machines classification algorithm. The Eigen features and support vector machines complement each other since the former is a linear transformation to reduce the dimensionality of the space, while the latter can deduce the non-linear aspects of these lower-dimensional features.
What color of lights are illegal on cars in Kentucky?
In Kentucky, the law prohibits the use of certain colored lights on vehicles. Flashing, oscillating, or rotating red lights are generally reserved for emergency vehicles. What is a good price for a Wii?
It depends, around the holidays $250-$600. Normally if they are used you can get one for $50-$150. But without an occasion $250. They can be good prices. But if I were getting one and had tots or infants keep away because they can go "BOOM!"

How do you install a car sub to a computer?
Measure out the speaker wire to reach from the subwoofer to the receiver, then cut it with the wire cutters. Leave enough slack so the connection will not be too tight once it has been made.
Connect the black (negative) cable to the negative (-) speaker terminal, and the red to the positive (+) terminal on the subwoofer. The negative cable may also be the same color as the positive, but with an indicator line to identify its negative polarity.
Locate the receiver/amplifier's "Sub Output" speaker jacks on the back of the unit itself. Since the subwoofer you are hooking up is not active (powered), you need to use a line-level speaker connection to the sub. Plug the black, or white-striped (negative) speaker wire into the negative (-) speaker "Sub Output" jack, and the red (positive) speaker into the positive (+) "Sub Output" jack.
Play some audio through the receiver/amplifier to verify you have made the connection successfully to the subwoofer. You car's sub speaker will now be fully integrated into your home/PC audio setup.
How do you wire a single sub amp to two subs?
First off make sure you have the amps ran properly. Next to run this set up you need to get some Y jacks from radio shack so both amps are hooked into the subwoofers (preout) on the back of the deck. Next hopefully both your amps are either 2-ch or mono. If it is 2-ch bridge one on each amp this way you use both channels on the amp. If it is mono it is only one channel anyway. Make sure your inline fuse to your battery is big enough, you can't go wrong with ANL fuses 200 amps.
AnswerMight want to also think about a capacitor for sound quality when running multiple amps.SOOOOOOO were putting 1 amp to each woofer? but if one of your amps have a input and a output jacjs then you would not need the 'Y' jacks?
AnswerI'm running 2 kicker amps, one has 2 kicker 12's and the other has a pioneer 10. I run individual power and ground wires. 1 remote from the deck to the main amp and a wire running from the remote terminals on each amp. Then I have my RCA wires from the deck going to the main amp, and another set of RCA wires going from the output on the main amp to the secondary amp. If you don't have an amp with a RCA pass through, then yes, you will need a RCA splitter (Y cable). Is it better to have dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm sub woofers?
u have to hook up both coils on the subs or u will damage it u can run both coils in series that's pos to pos and neg to neg witch will make the sub 2ohm or u can do it by running it in parallel one neg to the other coils pos then using the one neg and one pos u got left now u have 8ohms it really comes down o what amp your hooking up and what ohms u get the most out of your amp
What are 2004 intrepid check engine codes?
Courtesy of "Skidsmadawg96"
Click here for details on how to get the codes if the following instructions don't work!
(1) Cycle the ignition key On - Off - On - Off - On within 5 seconds.
(2) The Odometer will show the P-code.
(3) If no DTC's are present, the cluster will display one of two texts: "P1684" and "done" or only "done." P1684 indicates that the memory has been cleared within the last 50 ignition cycles and does not indicate a problem. Done indicates that NO DTCs are present.
Ho2S = heated oxyen sensor, TP = throttle position, MAF = mass airflow, MAP = manifold absolute pressure, TC=turbocharger.
Some codes might not be used by Chrysler, or might only be used by some later Chrysler models (e.g. Charger). These will be italicized.
