you more than likely need to change the unversal joints that are conected at both ends of the driveshaft. hope this helps

I have a 1997 f-150 4x4 , the same thing happened to me...it was the wheel bearing

hav an auto electrik shop check tha wire harness in ur trunk on tha hinge 9 times outta 10 tha problem is worn wires in that harness. Left side of tha trunk. It took me 2 yrs to figure dat and only cost me 30 bucks

The computer illuminates the "check engine" light when it detects a condition needing attention, such as a faulty sensor. The computer will FLASH the check engine light when the condition is significant and should be addressed immediately.

You can purchase, rent or borrow a computer code scanner at most auto parts retailers such as Checker Auto Parts or Auto Zone.

Normally, I would look first to the fuel metering system for the cause of this problem.

have front suspension checked

Your problem could be one of many different things, the major problems could be: 1. If the shaking is speed related... an imbalanced tire (wheel) could be the cause. 2. You could have a bent axle. 3. Your tire casing could be separating from the tread. 4. Your tire rim could be loose. 5. You might need new shocks. 6. Your steering linkage components could be loose or worn or broken. Good Luck... these are just a few of the things that can cause your symtom.

Well No Expert Here But If Your Getting Lots Of Gas In Oil If 1 Plugs Not Firing It Allows The Unburned Gas right Into Oil ItSelf.. Check That All 4 Sparkplugs Are Firing That First Thing To Check

Check for a loose inner or outer tie rod.

There are many reasons, I would say first, change your oil to something a little thinner. if the shake is for more than a minute, you may want to have a mechanic look at the engine.

thick oil on a cold morning will all settle to the bottom overnight, and the pistons, rods, etc will all rub a bit, and give some vibration. if the oil is coating, it wont do that so much, and thinner oil will be easier on the oil oump in the morning when it is cold, and you should notice a difference.

if it does it longer than a minute, it may be the choke sticking, or a bad o2 sensor, or possibly an airflow sensor. a mechanic can tell you more specifically with the car in front of them, instead of "best guessing" it over the internet. if it only does it when it is cold, maybe leave it at the shop overnight, and meet them in the morning, and start it while they are there and let them see the shake you are describing.

You "CAN" but even old tires that look good can cause all sorts of trouble that feel like alignment problems. The alignment shop is going to recomend changing them.

Around 30.00 each assuming they are not warped and minimum thickness stamped on them is not exceeded. They can only be turned a certain number of times.

Ensure all sway bar links are good (front & rear). Make sure front end is tight and struts are not worn.

I was driving against the curb on my left side for a second and now the edge of the plate rim is bent. I don't think anything is wrong with the bolts that secure it to the wheel, it's just the edge of the plate that is usually tucked underneath the tire...

If that part is untucked and bent outward, will it cause any problems? And how can I get it fixed without paying too much?

Most newer fuel injected vehicles have a idle control valve or idle speed motor or a variation of one. A idle speed motor controls the idle speed but when they are defective, they can allow a lean mixture which can cause a very rough idle. WRONG! A malfunctioning iac will NOT effect your fuel mixture. Your misfire problem is likely one of five things. Bad injector, bad spark plug, bad spark plug wire, bad egr, or bad egr control valve. If the problem is ignition related it usually gets worse as engine load is increased. A dirty injector can cause issues across the load range. A bad egr or egr control valve will be worse at low engine loads. The control valve is strapped on the side of the intake tube from the airfilter box to the throttle body. Find the hose going from that to the egr valve itself and unhook it. If the idle improves, you have a bad egr control valve. If idle does not improve, chech the other items (egr valve, plugs, wires, injectors).

Check the idle, crankshaft and camshaft sensors.

Possible its time to change those brake pads out. The whining noise is possibly the metal grinding to your rotor, which would cause your wheel to shake. Consider getting those rotors turned as well.

It may be "flooding" one or more cylinders when it's damp or you may have a sparkplug wire that's arcing when the air is more humid. Try this, wait for a time when it's dark and you're pretty sure the engine will run the way you just described, then have a friend start the engine IN THE DARK while you're watching with the hood open. Look for a blue spark somewhere along the plug wires. If you see plug wire arcing, that's your problem. Replace the plug wires. If the vehicle is older, it could just be a case of low compression in a couple cylinders and it's just taking them a little while to finally catch when they're cold. An engine with low compression will always be more difficult to start. Also check the sparkplugs, but make sure you don't get the plug wires mixed up so only disconnect one plug wire at a time and pull and examine the sparkplug for damage or fouling.

that is your brakes catching then being pulled just a little bit to the side and losing traction and going back and catching again.

Your car probably has abnormally worn in tires, caused by misalignment. Worn rotors can cause this as well.

you should feel a vibration or shimmy in yoursteering wheel. also you can take you car to a les schwab and they could tell you

A misfire caused by the ignition system exhausts unburned fuel into the exhaust system that enters the catalytic converter and causes its temperature to rise dramatically. An exhaust issue could cause for cylinder 4 to misfire. The camshaft lobes, which are responsible for opening and closing the intake and exhaust vales, are another source for a misfire and rough running engine. The cam lobes for the No. 4 cylinder should be inspected to see if they have been worn down due to lack of oil or other mechanical problem. A damaged camshaft lobe will not allow a valve to open properly if at all.
