Why would a car just die while driving?
Fuel supply problem, possible plugged fuel filter or fuel pump failure..
Does a Fuel pump need to stay on constintly for 97 f 150?
It needs to stay on all the time the truck is running.
Where is evap canister located on a 1996 Chevy s10 blazer?
Where is evap canister located on a 1996 chevy s10 blazer?
It should be found above the rear axle on the drivers side, mounted to the inside of the frame rail.
The start-up squeak may be a loose fan belt causing slippage and squeaking. This can cause the engine to overheat. If the engine has a ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor and fuel injection this increase in temperature could cause the engine to stall. However, could the automakers in Japan be smart enough to install a safety cut off temperature switch to protect from overheating damage?
What causes a 1991 ford F-150 with a 302 engine to die while idling when you turn on the defroster?
it will probably also die if you turn on the A/C, because the connection here is probably the A/C compressor. See if that is the case, and you may your answer. It may be that the A/C compressor is locking up or dragging, or your idle is too low to handle the extra load of the compressor.
What would cause a 2005 Mazda MPV V6 to stall out while driving?
There is a small hose that will get a hole burnt in it. It will cause a vacuum leak and the engine will stall out during idle. It is located behind the top valve cover and unless you are real good you will have to take it to a dealer. You also might have a couple of sensors burnt out also. All will cost you between 500 to 800 dollars.
How many catalytic converters on a ford f-150?
Ford F150 can have either one or two converters. Depends on the year and model, I have a 92 F150 Flareside 5.0 and it has 2 catalytic converters.
My 03 F150 supercrew has two. One at the back of each exhaust manifold. The one from the drivers side enters a crossover pipe that T's with the passenger side at the back of the transmission on the passenger side.
What would cause my car to idle up high and then cut off?
if you have an older model car your carb my have a thermo coil choke and it will cause the engine to idle high... but won't kill it... unless you are in need of a tune up....
it could also be a problem with the way your float is adjusted and it will cause the carb to pour gas into the engine making it rev up then flood it out witch would kill it...
now on any fuel injected cars it could just be a simple miss fire.. if your car was made after 1995 it is possible that your check engne light will be on and tell you exactly where the problem is. most likely it's a miss fire
99 Saturn sl2 shakes and stalls when at stops?
Check the computer diagnostic codes. You can usually borrow, rent or buy a code scanner from most auto parts retailers.
Don't know if this will help. but i am brake'in a 190e on ebay. some one bought the crank sensor. When i removed it from the vehicle which ran perfect i noticed that the lead to the sensor is actually not connected at all, it just sits up in side the diagnostic socket. i thought that this was very odd at the time so I double checked this and it just doesn't connect to anything apart from that socket. Plus there is no linkage. This means that the only time that sensor is used is when you plug a diagnostic tester into the socket to set the timing it appears that it does not go to the ECU. i still find this very odd. but you check your self. Its only 2 screws to remove the diagnostic socket Just thought I might mention this, the sensor I removed was from the front of the engine. The pulley end. Maybe there is another sensor at the fly wheel end which talks to the ECU. just guessing
What would cause the engine to die if you turn the head lights on?

How do you fix a 1991 Chevy cavalier Z24 it starts but when you put in gear it stalls?
This can be a number of things. What comes to mind first is, if this is an A/T you may have a bad lock-up torque converter, or the solenoid is stuck. If the engine runs and idles great until you put it in drive, this would be my guess.
What would make a car stall at different times and location but be okay at other times?
I can't say for sure, it could be a few things. You might not be getting enough gas or oxygen into your engine at the right time, a spark plug could be bad, or something in your starter could be bad. An engine only needs a few things to run, the first is enough fuel and oxygen, usually at a ratio of 14/1. The second is a spark to ignite the fuel, and the ignite the spark there has to be electricity flowing through your alternator, distributor, and spark plug wires. So something in that system isn't working right if your car stalls. I hope that helped.
My car had the same problem and it turned out that I had a bad sensor.
Buick regal GS shuts off when driving for a long time but then starts right up?
I have a 1999 regal LS. The engine would stop at random times in traffic but restart and run again. I had the car in the shop for weeks before the problem was found. I do not know the exact parts replaced but the electrical problem was in the area of the ignition switch. The car has run great for years. Louisville, KY. 40220
Why do car glass gets mist while driving during rain?
Assuming you mean mist on the inside surface of the glass:
Typically, when it is rainy, relative humidity is very high. Your own respiration produces water and increases the level of humidity in the air inside the vehicle cabin.
The glass is exposed to water. As the car moves, air flows over the water on the outside surface of the car causing some of this water to draw heat from the glass and evaporate, lowering the temperature of the glass.
Being cooler than the interior air, the glass absorbs some heat from the interior air cooling it slightly near the interior surface of the glass. The high humidity and lowered temperature of the interior air adjacent to the glass causes water to come out of solution (it is dissolved in the air) and deposit on the interior surface of the glass.
To alleviate this problem:
If you have Air Conditioning: Turn on the defroster or air conditioning with the temperature set to anything other than either full hot or full cold. A mix (any mix) is better. Choose a mix that gives you a comfortable temperature. Set the system to Recirculate (not Fresh Air) if possible and keep the windows closed. The air inside the car will pass over the cold AC Condenser and water will come out on solution there, becoming cold and dry. This air will then pass over the heater core and become a bit warmer and remain dry. This warm dry air will not deposit water on your glass.
If you do not have air conditioning:
This doesn't work as well as with air conditioning, but here goes: Turn on the defroster at high fan speed and temperature as hot as you can use without becoming uncomfortable. Open the rear windows (not the front ones) slightly, or if not equipped with openable rear windows, then use the front windows. Use two windows. Warm air from the defroster will heat the glass and the slightly open windows will help keep interior humidity almost equal with exterior humidity.
Misting on exterior surfaces:
-You may have an oily coating on your glass. During dry weather use dry disposable paper towels without any cleaning chemicals to press and rub hard against the glass. Rub a lot. This will remove oils.
-You may have glass that has been treated with water repelling chemicals that are supposed to make windshield wipers unnecessary. These chemicals can cause this mist. In the future, avoid applying such chemicals to your auto glass if misting is a problem
Misting on interior surfaces:
-The inside of the glass may be dirty, just not dirty enough for you to see it. During humid weather, particled on the inside surface of the glass can provide nice places for condensation to form. To fix, first clean the glass with glass cleaner and paper towels. Then allow to dry completely. Then, rub vigorously with clean dry paper towels.

What advantages are there with corner shower stalls?

Your car suddenly died while you were driving down the road but no lights came on what is wrong?
your alternator is dead.
There is A great Chance That Your Fuel Regulator is bad and allowing to much fuel to dump into your injectors flooding the engine ,In 20 minutes it clears out the fuel and then restarts. Another possibility would be the coil pack is bad and when it gets hot it shuts down then when it cools it will start back up. This Is an opinion and not absolutely the cause.
Would a blown head gasket show up on a diagnostics for a sticker?
A blown head gasket will not show up on a diagnostics test but can show itself through the readings of several different sensors. The sensors will tell if anything is wrong with the airflow, coolant flow, or fuel flow of the engine.
Why my 1993 grand marquis would not crank after replacing oil pan and spark plugs?
The oil pan wont make any difference in that unless you have disconnected the engine ground. Your question suggests that the engine wont crank which to a mechanic means that the starter wont engage, I am thinking that you mean that it wont fire or start in which case recheck your plug wires to be sure they are in the correct order, many people mix them up when changing, and make sure you push them onto the plug completely till they click ( you can feel or hear the metal inside the plug wire end go over the plug tip). and be sure the plugs are gapped correctly, they dont come gapped for your vehicle right out of the box.
Will a bad timing belt cause the engine to shut off while driving sometimes?
A bad timing belt could make the engine shut down but it would only happen once, not sometimes.
it may be ur alternator, once the car is running the alternator keeps ac current flowing and to necessary components if the alternator dies out/stops working the components that run the car which were powered by the alternator are now run off the battery which is dc (direct current) this will only last so long and when the battery is drained while driving you will lose the ability to accelerate and/or gage indications. This can be dangerous for obvious reasons and I suggest that you fix it as soon as u can rather than just jumping ur car and driving like this for prolonged periods of time.
