check head gasket, and, or intake gasket, most likely its one or the other. of couse there are other things to check, like fuel pump, fuel fiter,coil, coil wire. hope you find the problem

If a new timing belt was installed but the valve timing does not correspond with the pistons ie: the valves opening as the pistons reaching top dead centre ,,then it will be jamming.. bending valves and possibly damaging pistons.. when fitting a new timing belt or chain you have to be very careful of cam/valve position in respect of the pistons

No, not unless the vehicle is designed to shut off when the oil pressure falls below a certain level. Replace the oil pressure sending unit to find out.

Look at the distributor cap and rotor button. Sometimes moister can get in there and corrode the points causing the van to not start. This especially happens when it rains alot and the van sits without starting. Hope this helps you. I almost put a fuel pump in but luckily checked this before I spent $800 to have a mechanic do it.
I just went through this with my 1998 Durango, it ended up being the ignition coil. Costs about $37.99 and takes about 20 minutes to change, a very easy fix.

Since the starter is good but will not turn the engine over when hot, check the engine for free rotation. Turn the engine over by moving the crank by hand (with the ignition off.) The engine could be sticking when hot and not be able to turn over.
Probably if you didn't wipe it off well. Try this, take an toilet paper tube or paper towel tube and place one end over the ignition key cylinder, (you may have to remove any rings or other keys first) breathe into the other end allowing you hot breath to defrost the lock. After a few minutes try to work it. This works on exterior locks pretty good, and may for you. Post your results.
Thanks for the tip, Bclear. I ran an industrial extension cord (25 feet), and the toilet paper tube out to the car with my hair dryer. It worked! (ran the dryer over the key in the ignition so the key would get hot)thank you

Why would the ignition key not turn even when the clutch is depressed?
Sometimes if stering wheel is in a turned position it can interfere- try yanking the wheel a little one way or the other while gently trying to turn key If the key won't turn it's either the steering wheel lock mechanism or a faulty keyswitch. If it's the steering wheel lock, try moving the wheel as you try to turn the key. broken switch or try turning the steering wheel hard left and right while trying the ignition..it may be jammed

When you start a car and has high rpm is that bad?
It is not good to rev any engine immediately after starting it. The lubrication system has not fully charged and oil has not reached all the parts immediately after startup. The oil is also thick and is not flowing as it will when the engine reaches full operating temperatures. So, the answer is Yes, that is a bad thing.
Check the timing and the distributor cap.
If the timing is off, the engine will fire too soon and you'll get fire out the carb. If the distributor cap is faulty you could get the same thing. Make sure inside the distributor cap is dry, absolutely NO moisture/condensation.
If that doesn't seem to be the problem, run a compression test on the engine.
You need to bclear, does it crank or not crank?----for starters.
