Do aftermarket wheels require balancing If not how do you tell which wheels don't require balancing?
All wheels require balancing once the tires are put on, The wheel may be manufactured perfectly but its the tire that has imperfections and causes the whole assembly to need balancing.
How do you repair door on passenger side that want unlock?
I assume it is a GM car..I have several Cadillacs and they have all done this ... You have to remove the door panel (not very easy with the door closed, but it has to be done) reack your hand in toward the lock unit at the end of the door while getting someone to try pulling the lock up .... gently. Every model has a slightly different system, but it should be replaced. Check with a salvage yard and see if they have on for your car, once the door is open, it is quite easy to replace. Just libricate/grease it well before you install it. You might want to pick one up first, then you will know what you are reaching for. You don't need the lock itself (the key unit) you just need the mechanism and rods that actually lock the door. Best of luck.

How much horsepower does a stock 1987 Dodge Ramcharger have?
if it is the older LA block my guess is roughly 220-230hpType "1987 Dodge Ramcharger" in your browsers search window. You should get many possibilities. carsurvey.org cardomain.comM depends on what motor you have
Example, my 1990 dodge ram charger LX, with a stock 4 barrel carb, 2x4 tranny, 5.7 litre engine, was about 350 hp.
i have a 1987 dodge d100 with bone stock 318 60000 miles it has a sad 130 horse it runs good but no balls at all i put on dyno for the hell of it and thats what i got lolLess than 200 hp. After 1979, trucks under went the same de-powering as cars. Also in 1990 Dodge did not have a 5.7L engine. There was only 3 options: 3.9L V-6, 318 (5.2L) or a 360 (5.9L)
i take it u don't have a 90 ramcharger, i do tho, a 90 le150 4x2, a 5.7 isn't offered, in 90 they were throttle body injection, not carbs. my 318 5.2 pushes around 220
Actually- If your talking about the 318(5.2L) It came with about 156hp and I think @ 250ft lbs of torque. This doesn't sound like a whole lot but TORQUE is where a trucks real power lies. If your talking 360, Im not too sure but my guess would be not a lot more horse than the 318 but should be a fairly considerable amount more of torque... maybe 180-190hp and 280-300tq. btw... great old trucks!!!!

How do you replace the starter on 2004 avalanche 1500 z66?
You need an 8mm or 5/16th socket or wrench to disconnect the battery... if you're small enough, you can get underneath without lifting up the vehicle.... me, personally, I can do that on the 4x4 models, but the 2wd models are a bit tight for me, so I lift the front end up on those... the three bolts that hold the starter in place use a 15mm socket, and the starter comes right out. Make note of which wires connect where on the starter... car starters are pretty simple and I usually only do this on Class 8 truck starters (which use multiplexed systems have many more cable going to the starter), but you might want to use a paint marker to mark the locations of the wires if you're unsure you'll remember where they go.... disconnecting the wires from the starter, I believe one nut will require an 8mm socket.. the large one, I don't remember offhand, as it's been some time since I've replaced a starter on a GM truck, but I believe that'll be either a 15 or 16mm socket.. either way, if you have a complete socket set, you'll have the right size. I'd recommend reattaching those cables to the new starter before bolting the new one back in.... by the way, you'll find the stater in front of the bell housing, on the right side... once it's all installed, you reconnect the batteries, start it... there's a possibility you might have to add shims if the starter appears to be missing or just barely catching the flywheel teeth.
And, of course, before you lift the vehicle, make sure you chock the rear wheels to prevent it from rolling. When you lift it, place it on jack stands.. don't just leave it sitting on a jack.
How do you fix the arm rest on the drivers side bucket seat of a 2002 Chevy Avalanche?
Type your answer here... If you can get just the armrestcover you can put it on yourself, its not that hard. Run the back of the seat tilted forward toward the steering wheel. There is a plastic track at the bottom of the seat back that can be undone, allowing you to reach up inside the seat. Look up where the armrest is and you will see a retintion clip on the armrest shaft. Use some long needle nose pliers to pull that clip off and the arm rest can be slid out of the seat. On the bottom side of the armrest you will see how to unhook the armrest cover and slide it off the arm.

How much does it cost to replace shocks?
It depends on the year, make and model. Americans cars are cheaper the foreign cars. It also depends where you take your car as far as cost. Make sure you ask about warranty, most shocks come with life time warranty. If you want to save money ask family/friends/neighbors for advice on inexpensive shops. You can find some used good condition shocks at salvage yards if you don't plan on keeping your car. Cheers!!

How to change cabin air filter on 2007 Toyota Avalon?
From http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ef2150b/14023: Drop the glovebox down. This involves removing the little "shock" on one side and then squeezing in the sides of the door while pulling down. The door will swing down far enough so you have access to the filter. Look for a panel or door about 2 x 8 inches and the filter is in there. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the plastic filter cover and remove the cover. Then slide out the filter.
How do you change the thermostat on a 2004 avalanche?
Find and disconnect the upper radiator hose. This will be a hose going from the top of the radiator to the top of the engine block somewhere. The upper radiator hose attaches to the thermostat housing, which is usually secured by 2 or 4 bolts. The thermostat is inside and you will probably need a pick to get it out.
Having said that, your thermostat probably isn't the problem if you are overheating. GM motors have really bad intake gasket design, which can cause your car to leak coolant, which will in turn cause it to overheat.
