Early Beretta's & Corsica's had weak coil packs that were prone to failure. The lock-up torque converter solenoid on A/T equipped cars was also weak and would fail. The 2.8 V6 did not take kindly to overheating, but other than that if taken care of they are not bad cars.

Answer #2 I have owned 4 Beretta's in the past 20 years I love em and the most problems that I have had is wet floors from the area under the lower corners of the wind shield with the hood open under the hood you will see wiring harnesses in each of these corners I found that by using a roofing sealant and pouring it over these prone areas it would stop the rain leaks but these cars also will leak on the passenger side from the a\c condensation you will just have to find and seal that one also the v6 3100 is prone after age to leak motor oil out of the distributor shaft o-ring this will take an o-ring replacement on the shaft I have also read reports of these Chevy V6 engines intake gaskets leaking antifreeze into the crank case oil sorry I'm just being honest for I know these cars well

I'm still trying to figure that one out. I am having the same problem. I have replaced the blower motor, replaced vaccum lines, everything works. I have hot heat but not blowing enough out. I'm going to try to back flush it.

The fuse that works the cooling fan(s) depend on the make/model/year of the car. In general cooling fans are controlled by a fan relay & fuse or by the ecm, bcm,pcm (ecm/bcm/pcm are computers)

The simple thing to check is clutch adjustment. Does your clutch pedal go almost to the floor before you feel tension? If so, then a clutch adjustment(Cable style) should cure the problem. If your clutch is hydraulic and not cable, then you may have a bad slave cylinder or air in the line. Chris put in a new throw out bearing

no not really. i just pulled a body kit from a 1990 beretta to fit on my 1995. during the 8 years beretta and corsica were around Chevy didn't really change the body styles all that much. so anything u find for a beretta, whether it would be a fender or a decklid, hood, you should have no problem getting it to fit, and parts aren't hard to find. just check with your local boneyard.

the doors are the only body part that wont bolt up, pre 90 there are 2 door studs on the frame due to the seat belts being attached to the doors

Find follow the large aluminum pipe from the AC consenser to the drier cannister and from there towards the firewall. It may be beneath the intake air filter.

On my 1996 Z26, the low side valve is immediately behind the compressor. The high side valve is on top just to the passenger side of the hood latch on the line running parallel to the radiator. The low side has a blue cap and the high side has a red cap.

depending on engine size a 3.1 liter v6 and a 2.2 lier 4cyl. are both located in the front of the engine. remove serpentine belt,remove 4 10mm from pulley (v6)(three 13mm for 4cyl.)remove pulley.v6 will have 6 8mm bolts,4cyl. will have 4 13mm bolts-remove clean surfaces install new pump.about 20 mins.v6,30mins for 4cyl.be sure to drain coolant before you start,refill with proper coolant,some 95 up gm require dexcool anti freeze (orange in color).easy.gm Jim

no the pcv valve is under the intake which is pretty hard to do cuz beretta are werid but yes its under the intake in the back

this is a typical problem with berettas, for some reason the bands in the transmission will not hold out after several miles are on the car, have the bands tightened or replaced, and you wont have any more problems

The BEST oil level reading is obtained on flat level ground, with the engine and oil still cool. As oil warms up, it expands, and can travel further up the dipstick. This could provide an inaccurate reading, since there would be slightly less oil in the engine than stated.

Sales were dwindling. And the body style was outdated compared to similar cars of 1997. It was made since 1987 and virtually no significant body changes. There were also reports that it was dropped for new safety regulations it would have to be significantly redesigned to pass. It wasnt worth it, so they dropped it and the corsica and introduced the new Malibu in 1997.

The ignition control module is located behind the 3 coil packs on the front of the engine, beneath the front valve cover. Removing the fan shroud will help give you more room to work but it is still a tight space to work. The Coils are mounted on top of the ignition control module, so you will have to remove them from the whole assembly. If you look at the assembly behind the coils and see the wires hooking to it then look for the bolts holding them in place. Make sure to par attention to the location of the coils and wires coming from the spark plugs. It is located inside the fuel tank. You need to drop the entire tank down to replace. in the bottom of the gas tank.

Hi. I have one of these on my 351c 4spd and what I have found through research is they were used on small trucks and fleets of U-haul vehicles throughout the 70's . Its claimed they were used because of there economy and power when needed, I got mine off ebay and bolted it straight on no kit and off it went ....they have no choke but I find it a great carb and gives me no trouble at all and intend using it for life of my truck. The Fuel pump sending unit has gone bad. Replace fuel pump assembly, not just the pump.

This fluid can leak from many places. Look in places where water hoses meet the engine, where the heater hoses go into the firewall, the radiator and your heater core.

you need to post your displacement to get the proper procudure.

I don't know about a Beretta specifically but assuming it's an automatic you just have to use a funnel and pour it down the dipstick tube, most automatics are this way.

1994 3100 engines (and all 3100 engines, for that matter) never came mated to a 5-speed from GM. You will need to make all necessary modifications and installation yourself. Any 5-speed from an earlier V6 Beretta/Corsica (1988-1993 2.8L or 3.1L MPFI), Cavalier/Sunbird, Grand Prix, etc. will bolt up. I recommend a Getrag, if you can find one in a yard. Note: You will have issues with the SES/Check Engine light coming on, due to the ECM no longer finding the electronic component of the automatic transmission. This cannot be cleared on a 1994 or 1995 Beretta.

The idle speed is set at the factory and is NOT adjustable.

There isn't a governor there is a REV limiter in the computer. Your typical speed shop cannot reprogram a 1994 or 1995 Beretta, either, to remove it.
