Not until the 70 series (non usa item) did they become full floaters unless you count the FJ-45 pickup which has a full float rear end.

The 80 series was the next USA model to utilize full float rear end but that is only from 95-97, the 91-94 models had a semi-float axle setup.

Drain out some of the coolant from the radiator, remove the two bolts that hold the thermostat housing, clean up the mating surfaces, replace the thermostat, install a new gasket, and bolt the housing back in place.

This is usually a pretty simple job requiring a minimum of tools and knowledge. Just watch out for leaks after completing, and make sure the radiator is completely refilled. Might want to check it a couple times after getting the engine fully warmed up and completely cooled down.

take out front drive shaft then the rear take out bolts at the rear of transmission unhook all wires and shifter from case belly pan if you have one should be ready to come out good luck not that hard

Because, instead of all the weight being on the lug nut studs The weight is on the HUB itself and not the studs. If you look at the wheel you will see that it fits tight around the floating hub. The regular rear ends the wheel studs hold all the weight.

Drop the oil pan, remove thrust bearing cap, loosen all the mains, use a screwdriver to push the old main seal out a little, then use the new seal to push out the old seal the rest of the way.

I have a 95 K1500 suburban and I put 285/75 R16 on it and they fit just about right. Don't think I would try any larger without a lift kit of some kind.

They were still using R-12 at that time. Check with your local a/c technician to see if it's still available or if you need to update to a newer refrigerant.

Same thing has been happening to me, exccept more frequently and it doen't turn on right away. My mom says she thinks it's the spark's plugs so check those out and then maybe check to make sure you have enough oil in your car.

disconnect neg(-) terminal of battery.remove spark plug wires at distribator cap.then remove cap hold down screws.next locate disttribator hold down boltand set aside pull up on dist and notice the direction of rotor turns mark location of before and after.(this is for setting back in place later)place dist.in a soft jaw vice and remove roll pin from gear&remove gear and pull shaft out of housing.pick up coil is ready Tobe removed first unplug wires from module. locate clip hold down and replace pick up.reverce toinstall and check ingition timing.

so you should have third and reverse

you may be looking at replacing the tcu

check the auto oil level

then the colour (bright red )

then the fuses

if both are ok then the problem is electrical

pick up a second tcu from a wrecker and try that

Your 1990 has R12 refrigerant in it which isn't available anymore at parts stores. To add refrigerant to your vehicle you will have to get the a/c system vaccuumed and retrofitted to accept new r134a refrigerant and pag100 compressor oil. You can take it to a shop to get it vaccuumed and retrofit it yourself with kits from your local Autozone. -broncomudder89

I was always told to push the brake pedal down first, then release the emergency brake, then, if you have a clutch, push that pedal down put it in gear and go! The same for an auto trans, and the point is so that you don't have the cars weight on the pin inside the auto tranny that locks the transmission in park. Also you wont be putting the cars weight on that first gear in a manual tranny. hope that helps?!

You did not say what year it was. But either way there will be 2 plugs just over top of each other on the side of the transmiassion, could be right or left side. The bottom plug is a drain, and just above it will be the fill plug. they both look the same.
